Why isn't this channel more popular?! As an artist myself I would love to meet all these sweet people, especially William Scott, he seems so kind and so pure
Mickey D I’m a unknown artist that’s disabled too. I’m born with microcephaly with a little touch of aurtisum but different. Still trying to get my stuff in a gallery to be sold or show or both. Everything in my life and born with and what I’ve been trying to do is hard and a struggle. Horrible people say this to me, aurtisum or microcephaly is nothing and I’m retarded and they laugh. People don’t listion how I speak real what I say is true.i was bullied a lot in my life and online. I get frightened or confused. I’ve been waiting for Wentworth gallery to call. I met one of the people that works there and he said he paints too and hear things who I am , what I do and how is my life story and struggle and what I’m born with and he hugged me. He say he would like me to meet his sister and call me and talk to other artist and try to get into a gallery show, never happend. People don’t understand me at all and I’m always hurt lot. I’ve been drawing and painting sence I was a baby.
Mickey D if people just help me and listion to how I feel and story and see my art and love it and even buy them I’ll be happy. I would love to meet you too.
This makes my disability rights activist and artist heart SO happy! 🥰🥰🥰 I work at a similar organization in Canada, but we're much smaller. Some of our artists are very talented, but don't have as much visibility. We're still working towards supporting them towards professionalization since it wasn't really in our mission when it first started, but many of them really want to go further. I'm still young, but discovering this place has made me realize that disability and art might become my life's work. It's just so important and really need to be valued more!
As an artist I am wary of saying something about my disabilities when trying for a show or residency. ( especially since one of my disabilities is a mental health issue- I am wary if it would work against me or if it would help me. Not everyone is open to mental health issues. I want the art to speak for itself and when a gallery or collector wants to know then I will tell them. That I have hidden disabilities.
genius !!! i am no disable and i can barely draw a tree !! amazing people . The real disability is when you lost all hope and hapiness. Those people are inspiring
So awesome to fund others like me an artist with disabilities,Astroke victim that was paralyzed on one side I dove back into my painting to train my non dominant hand to write/draw,paint,as a source of therapy to begin with now once again my passion my work can be seen on facebook @ Aer therapy with Dave
This is fantastic. As an artist who went to masters program. I can only say that art school teaches people how to use the art language and context of their own making in the history of art making.
I would love to meet other dissabled artist like me, I am just like them.God made us dissabled for a reason and we are the future and we can paint , it’s a gift. So proud that all of us dissabled people and kids are finding out our true purpose in life. Me being born with microcephaly and treated bad in school all my life and bullied and been told I’m retarded and I’m nothing and I’m too short and men treated me like I’m nothing and always pretend to fall in love with me. Everything in my life is hard and can be scarry. I’ve been experienced rasim and ignorant people.i wish I can get some help getting people to see my art , I’ve been trying to get my stuff in gallery’s.us dissabled people make things beautiful and unique and special. 😭😢☺️

What a great art program I like that places like this exist. Do they have facilities all around the country? I hope to one day do something great like this and help those who create.
