円山動物園のレッサーパンダ、キン(メス/1歳)、ギン(メス/1歳)。
岩穴の中で昼寝をしていたキンとギン。
そろそろお目覚めの時間。
隙間から外を見ていました。
顔がそっくりな双子のレッサーパンダです。

Thank you Mmovies21 for this wonderful video of Kin and Gin. I miss them so much! Love the birds tweeting and the litte yelow flower as they peer out of the opening. Your video preserves the memory of these two beautiful red pandas. They were so fortunate to be able to happily grow up together at Maruyama, until Kin was taken several years later to Kushiro Zoo and Gin paired for breeding with Eita. This vid reminds us of their happy days.

Also, it's an endangered species... I prefer seeing them protected at the zoo, they are well taken care of

A well designed, animal welfare centered, and vet science-based zoo may be preferable to the alternatives: life in a declining and damaged wilderness, hiding from poachers, or existing in some profit-making entertainment center.
