To actually clutch against a wall, just hold shift. It will clip you inside the blocks because the game cant push you off the block (you're sneaking)

It also works based on the selected POV in the menu; the Spyglass reduces the POV to 10% when used, so an POV of 90 become 9, while 30 is 3.
It's kinda weird how some items are more useful in bedrock than in java
