I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

The Dior Backstage Eye Palettes are a combination of a regular line and Limited Edition. The Green and Burgundy Paletes being released, as well as the Glow Balms and Maximisers, are Limited Edition, just like the two palettes released prior to Christmas last year. The last release of Peach Neutrals was also a Limited Edition. I own every Backstage Eye Palette that has been released and it's best to ignore what is stated on the back and simply test the shadows on your own skin. I've never paid attention to what is stated on the back. Generally, there is only one glitter in each palette which is the pan without the embossing, with the rest mattes and satins. I did see this palette reviewed by another that is also misprinted yet in the US. As I'm in Australia, ours are yet to be released and I'll check to see if ours are imprinted too. The shimmers in these palettes are quite soft and understated, if wanting them built up, it's best to use a setting spray or water. Hope this information helps.🇦🇺💖🕊
I was just about to say that the website in the Netherlands also calls this kaki palette a limited edition! Do you know how long that means they will have them? Or is it more of an "until the stock runs out" kind of deal?
@@Rianna93 My advice would be, if you truly would like this palette and can afford it - don't wait too long. From what I've seen, everyone is going for the Khaki Neutrals and not the Burgundy. That being said, more people tend to buy Dior's Quints and the Backstage Eye Palettes are more of a nice little secret. The only difference this year is everyone wants these green toned palettes, so even those who have never bought a Backstage Eye Palette before are grabbing this one. Both palettes are still available on the Australian website where I purchase from, due to living four hours from the nearest store. The last Backstage Eye Palette was still available about four months after release on the website, yet it still could have been available from a boutique. It was still a very popular palette, yet it hardly received many reviews. Last year's two palettes didn't last long at all. It's so hard to say, as not even staff know how much stock they will be receiving. Just remember, if you can't afford to grab it straightaway, like many of us who love make-up, don't go into debt for the sake of an eye-shadow. Due to so many price rises, much stock is still available on Dior's site that I thought would be long gone. I realise these are very different palettes, but for not much more, the new Natasha Denona Retro-Glam Palette is available with 15 shades and many more greens. Australia is probably the last place to search for a sold out item due to our very high make-up prices, but that does mean that stock can be available for longer. If, for some reason you miss out and you still want this palette, let me know and I can see what I can do to help.💖
I need this khaki!! So far I have the neutral (favorite by far and no longer available), cool neutral (blah, hate it), bronze neutral (that’s a good one but it disappeared quickly in the US). They had a berry one come out for a flash and I missed it. Do you think I ought to get this palette from Dior site before it’s gone?
@@toriandjojo2018 I'll admit upfront that I am bias. I have loved these Backstage Eye Palettes since I first tried them and now own every single one. The reason that the Bronze and Plum went quickly was due to being Limited Edition from the previous Christmas. Coral Neutrals is also L/E but still available at Sephora here. The five regular palettes are usually available in Australia, yet will sell out and then be re-stocked as they aren't limited. I love both of these palettes and now own both. As I have mostly green eyes, I love the Khaki Neutrals and find it quite versatile. You can go for full on green looks or mute them to more olive/gold tones or a basic neutral. As I can see the possibilities for so many different looks and have loved the subtle performance of these shadows, I would recommend grabbing this one. If you want more 'stand out' shimmers, use a glitter glue, primer, PML IntensifEYES to amp them up. Don't be afraid of the other palette either. I think it was a mistake to place the cranberry shade in the centre, as it puts off everyone who is afraid of red shades. This shade isn't as vibrant as it appears and you can create some beautiful rose gold and peach looks with this palette too. Just remember that they are Limited Edition and will not come back. It appears now that Dior is going to release two L/E Palettes prior to each Christmas, so be prepared. As everyone has been demanding greens, this has been a big seller and I'm surprised that it's still available. Hope this helps. If you desperately want any palette that you can't get anywhere else and prepared to pay our absurd prices, I'll gladly order on your behalf. Best of luck!💖

Hi Charlotte! I’ve been waiting for a good video on this palette and now- finally!!! I also love how you used all of the shades. I want to purchase it but will wait for the next Sephora vib sale. While I think as you mentioned it is going to be part of the permanent backstage collection it has not been available on Sephora for a while (in the US), and I’ve only been able to find it on Dior. Love ❤️ love, love the coral blush. While I am more of a pink blush kind of girl, I cannot get enough of that color! The luminous gold with the coral is just perfection!! Cannot wait to try that one but I cannot justify buying a new blush right now- maybe for my birthday in May for the blush and the palette! Thanks for the nod to the Dior Addict lipsticks! Because of your two video series I was able to buy two additional shades and like you I find this to be my all-time favorite lipstick which is saying so much since I truly am a lipstick addict! I now have 4 shades and love them all!! Mimirose and Cherie are divine and so is beige oblique!!
Primer in with shadows is nuts. In my Dior quad I used it twice before it was contaminated by fall out from the colours.
Hmm, I was wondering about that. I'm really digging how well it covered any pigmentation and how easy it looked to apply but I can't get past what I thought could happen which obviously did in your case. I just love greens and browns together. I actually do a look very similar to this but with a much cheaper palette. One that has actually mattes, lol. So yeah. While it's a beautiful palette that created a beautiful look this is an easy pass for me... 🤷♀️
You really have to put that cream into a custodial care… the Backages require particular store care, too.

The Backstage Eye Palettes are quite underrated. They're cheaper to purchase than the Dior Quints and give a better variety of shades yet with the quality Dior is known for.🇦🇺💖🕊
The look is absolutely beautiful on you! This color story is my favorite too. I usually don't give Dior eyeshadow a second glance but, I may need to have this palette.
I think this palette combines two kinds of greens: che kaki and green more cool, with more blu underton. I don't see the white topper in this palette

This looks stunning on your lids what a beautiful palette. You may have seen her video but Morgan Turner put that gold shade on the middle of the eyelid and it really made the green pop.🥰
They get us with the shades... Then ruin it with no mattes!! The #1 reason I hesitate buying several high-end palettes. Over 50 & needing to create depth & dimension, it's not working for me. Plus I really don't understand it, why?? However, it does look good on you because you're young with big eyes & pronounced crease!! 🤍

Thank you for the review! The colour story of the palette is beautiful and looks very elegant yet edgy on you! a nice combination. I have heard comments questioning the names of the shadows from other reviewers as well. I am glad you enjoyed the palette nonetheless. I received my palette today and swatched and agree with comments about the names of the shadows overall ( plus some a bit powdery). I happened to swatch as sun was setting in the evening where I live and sun rays were shining in window, after originally viewing the swatches I then tilted my hand toward the rays and I will say small delicate glitter type particles could be seen in the shadows named glitter - extremely delicate/sparkly particles but once one tilted the swatched hand out of the sun, no sign of any glitter /sparkle except for sparkle from the pearly white topper. So I suppose that might be what Dior intended???? anyway beautiful colour story overall and very happy with palette.

So glad you reviewed this palette! I love greens, but was worried because the Backstage line hasn't had the strongest palettes before. It looks like they really hit it out of the park with this one.

Hi Charlotte i have been looking at this palette and it looks gorgeous, i have looked for a green palette but unable to find a green shades which are different enough to be distinctive to be a good buy or not what do you think ? . I almost bought it this afternoon but couldn’t make my mind up , i know the price is about £41 ,from Dior web site ,but it seemed a good price for a nice palette , i don’t mind spending for a good green palette as i have every other shade but i have nothing in green that will last , having blue eyes i think green will look nice on my eyes . oh yes i like the look of these shades i think i will buy this palette after this video , it looks lovely . my love liz x i have just purchased this beautiful palette . thanks Charlotte it’s gorgeous . my love liz xxxx your my star to point me in the right direction, hugs to you !
My problem with plastic package is that the hinges break and now, my palette doesn’t close properly. This happened with my Tower blush and DM blush palettes. So, these plastic packages a pretty, but not that sturdy for frequent use.

That the descriptions were way off didn’t surprise me. Dior keeps mislabeling eye quads and highlighters, it seems on brand for me.

I love the palette but the blushes scare me! I’m a light/medium skin tone and they both look very bold! The palette is being released here 17/10 and I have my order with my local shop. The blushes I’ll wait to see what they’re like but I’m not a fan of pearly blushes on mature chops…
The shade finish description is wrong on every single dior backstage palette. Also, the coral one REALLY looked good on you, even if it was not so blingy / shiny

That bright white topper shade was a poor choice in my opinion… it’s too white for those shades.
Other than that it’s a beautiful pallet. I’m looking forward to playing with the greens👏👏👏👏❤️

They have beautiful pigment and I love the colors, but, they show wrinkles and bumps on your eyelids. I don’t care for the shimmers only the satins are better!!! My own opinion.
