My dad had a heart attack last Sunday at around midnight, he coded 3 times before they could place 2 stents and concluded that he had 100% blockage of the LAD. Seeing what they did to him in action (in your video) made me even more thankful for the emt’s, physicians, and nurses working that night. Thank you for being a life saver and I can’t wait to join you all. 🥰❤️

Hey Brittany and Shelby....I am a dad that had the big one back in 2007 and another in 2016. Thoughts and prayers for both your Dad's. I can't say enough about the outstanding care I received from the EMT and the hospitals.....I could write a book. It was an incredible journey. But it was my family that supported me through this that meant everything,
Today I'm having the best of my 70 years. I feel great do things a younger man wouldn't try.
With restrictions lifted my wife and I are just going to be with our family close up for the first time in months. It will be a day to cherish.
Love to you and your families.... stay strong and all will be well.

Yet another really cool before and after! So thankful the patient allowed their imaging to be shared, and thank you and your team for sharing! I've noticed you're getting heaps more from the fellows as well, and it's so cool they're on board with your educational videos! That imaging really makes you understand just how bad an unhealthy diet can be for you!

Siobhan, this is kind of random but thank you so much for your videos! I learn so much medical terminology and medical things in general from you which has helped a lot with my medical coding program. You are the standard for what a medical resident and doctor should be. Kind to staff and patients, knowledgable and efficient. You should be so proud of yourself. You inspire me to be kind and positive, despite all the stress and negativity in my facility. I hope to one day be as great as you once I enter the workforce. Hang in there with COVID and don't worry about making videos if you begin to get overwhelmed, we will understand ❤️

Hi, I amd Rich and had followed you for a couple years. I had a heart attack (I'm 72) in early February and have regained slowly mobility (walking 4x/week at 50 min each.) How cool that the shock and heart surgery in this viedoe was exactly what I had done. I watched the whole procedure on the large screen above and to the left of my bed. So nice to catch up with all your changes. Wish you well. So good to catch up on some of your videos.

Also, this episode in general was really interesting and I feel like I've learned a lot. I love that the patient with the heart procedure done agreed to share his images, it helped to understand the whole thing much better! I am not a doctor nor a medical student, so yea :-)

    Siobhan and audience --
My Dad had a heart attack at 52, in 1981, and was on the 'Lopressor Study' with an originally Canadian Dr., Bernard Boal. Lasted 12 years but drank heavily, smoked previously. Mom had a St. Jude mechanical valve, from CHF, installed at 72 in 1999. Lasted 4 years. I'm almost 64 with no problems, last in hospital in 1965 for a tonsillectomy. Oh, one thing: Have marginally elevated cholesterol - Need fatty meals to absorb Vitamin D. Conclusively, some takeaways: It's not all in the genes, you are not your parents. Monitor those dubious concerns with Drs., those who you can approach with an affinity.
Greatest thanks to Siobhan for saving lives !!!!!

My grandfather had a heart attack around 1.5 years ago, he coded once and I will never forget the sound of my mother's voice as she got the call from my grandmother. He survived and is fine now but was in acute danger for about two days. At the end of the second day my dad came to my workplace and I thought my grandfather died, I will never forget that feeling, a mixture of fear and complete devastation, I stared to crie so bad I fell to my knees.

Last night, I watched an episode of "Untold Stories of the E.R." A woman came in with chest and was diagnosed with a STEMI. Her mother came in to the E.R. to see her daughter. She collapsed and was diagnosed with a STEMI. The sister of the first patient came to see her, saw their mother in a bed, she collapsed and, guess what? Yep, another STEMI! They were in town attending a family gathering. The doctor realized that they had the same inheritable syndrome (I think Willett's?), and advised them to tell other family members to NOT come to the E. R. to prevent more heart attacks. It was an interesting case. All three women survived. The human body is full of surprises.
