Thanks for reviving old memories. I showed cattle at the Crawford country fair for 15 years. Never missed going to the horse and tractor pulls. My older brother used to pull our Farmall super M down there Albion and Wattsburg. I have been in Florida since 1986 miss the fair good times.
We had a Farmall Super M-TA in the late '50s/early '60s. It was for Midwest/North Central row crop farm work (Chippewa County, Minnesota). The TA was great when pulling a 3-16 plow or a JD 14T baler and wagon. More than adequate power and a solid all-around tractor.

That's awesome you got a chance to pull ! I used to drag race back before having kids but never did a tractor pull . You sure go to a lot of farm events over a year . Thanks for sharing and have a great evening !

@@FarmallFanatic hey I'm sure you get bombed with service related questions. But my brother has an h. What do I do about engine oil sludge. I know you say run low ash 30 w oil. But should I try to do an engine flush or just leave it alone since it's ran that way 70 years and runs fine.

Excellent video Gino :) that Massey Harris 44 tractor did not bad for row crop and Edwin Budd had wide front on his pull tractor also he did super one ! One tractor used pull super to in my area was 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 with 1968 Dodge Slant 6 225 Cubic Inches size with 2 barrel carb and so wild guy snap pull chains of tongue got up super length before happened! Yes amazing those tractor you showed today and well tune up too! Excellent pull you did to Gino on Farmall Boom 💥 👏 👌 😀!

I love tractor pulls now I don’t pull a antique tractor I usually pull a international 706 or a 1066 but love the little tractors still
That wide front SMTA is a beast
It's funny when you see your county fair because we have one here in Hamburg New York do you still have pulled it was called The Bull pull but they done away with it now I don't even like going to the fair anymore because they took that away there was always the ntpa and they would have a heck of a good show as far as antique tractors the one day and then the big pull another

Great video Farmall, I really enjoyed this one. Lots of good examples of every color. As a blue guy I thought the 6000 commander was cool, they weren't Fords best tractor but it's cool to see one once in awhile

I pulled with John deere 620. I pulled around iowa.
Where im going on Friday is manito Illinois at 11am tractor pull and they pull nothing but IH red power
Tractor pulling much like any other motorsport tires make all kinds of difference. It's not that older worn tires "grip" better but they allow some slip. As the load increases traction becomes a double edged sword, yes you are hooked up and moving but it will be pulling your rpm down where a little slip would keep the rpm up and use "friction" (I'm at a loss for a better term) instead of traction to keep you "hooked" to the track. I know what I like for tires on my pullers and have specific tires that go on that only see the track. I've had experience pulling anything from garden tractors up to N.T.P.A. Unless you're trying to spend a ton of money, enjoy it, run what you've brung, and have fun.
No it makes sense
Every tractor is going to want something a little different from the tires (pressure, tread depth, and even hardness). I have a set of tires "seasoning" and it'll probably be another three years before they're ready. Everybody has their own recipes and we're like grandma guarding any information about her special dish.

Wow. A jd 80. Don't see those everyday. I was at midwest old threshers and saw a 830 that had black on front by the number and it was at a tractor pull. It sounded mean.

Pulled against a guy this year in a 9,000 lb class with an Farmall H. He had I believe 4,500 lbs hanging off the thing and it weighted 7,600 lbs I think. I think he got last in the class, didn't pull to well.
Yeah that makes no sense unless he did an engine swap

A little bit of everything at this pull...
Just so you know, thick bar tires dig up alot of dirt and piles up in front of the sled..... you want the tires to bite but not dig up dirt and create holes....
Well, yeah, and I knew.
Some of those tires didn't look right to me.
Depending on how they have your weights distributed on the tractor and if people pull a tractor the rear tires should be in not out and a super M-TA are the best at what they do and I pay attention to how those pullers have there weight and tires size and if i was going to pull a tractor id the weights on the front and the back no weights on the side front and back and also you want the front end come off the ground about 6in no higher than that
That looks like a Saginaw 3 point hitch add on, put on the Super MTA.

That was the good one. Other had one piston and you couldn't put your original draw bar on. It is too bad they went out of business.

I have looked all over but can't find no information about installing a after market dipstick for a farmall H oil pan I ordered one but I would like a little information about how to install it if any one has information about it I whoud Shure appreciate it thanks 👍😀

Caught the first half of the live feed. Well run fair pull. No wasted time. I know on the dragsters with the low tire pressure they run screws into the beads to keep the tire from spinning on the rim. Surprised the tires don't spin on the rims on these tractors with the low pressure

I'd be on that MTA for $5,000.00. Around these parts? $9,000.00. John Deere's aren't a bad tractor. All those guys aren't dumb. I just don't know that they're worth that much more than Farmall's/Internationals.

Newer tires are too sharp and the dig too much. You want to bring up the least amount of dirt infront of the sled.
