great. first time i hear this one. grahams guitar work is superb here...i wish damons vocals were a bit burried under the guitar, specialy on song like Bad Day and Shes So High. you can feel the psych/shoegazin influence they had at that time (1990!).
Damn, the drums on this performance of She's So High are so good! I mean, that intro was killer - the way it got so loud and hard right before the main beat kicks in. Why isn't it that good on the album version? I think it helps that the bass guitar is more aggressive here.
I think the beginning of this performance of Day Upon Day was used in the official release that ended up as There's No Other Way's b-side. But only the beginning! For some reason, the official release also uses another performance that takes over about 40 seconds into the track. It's very jarring, and to this day I'm peeved that a better-sounding mix has never been officially released.
This sounds so different from the final versions that's why it is sounds so beautiful to me. I really wish i could listen to it for the first time again
