Omg I just got sent this link from my older bro and.the smile on my face wow I'm 44yrs old and this just brought back so many happy memories as a child amazing memories and even tho technology has advanced to an amazing but alarming rate nothing has made me smile with memories like this atari game. No WiFi no social.media no killing everything in sight on a game just good old kids fun the way it used to be the way I wish it still was tbh.
Good to know. I entered this game into a video game contest years ago at my school, I didn't know what to enter, but my older brother gave me the idea, I drew it out, and entered it. It didn't win, I think some girl won, for something that would have likely appealed to girls. But nevertheless, the concept of Spiderman was stolen from us! Now some lady is getting our credit! I know it's not a great game by today's standards, but still, nobody would know the game, had I not entered it into that contest years ago!
Thanks, I'll tell my brother you like the game,...after all, he told me this concept for Spiderman game, which I entered into a contest years ago at my school...and yeah, someone stole what I entered into this contest! Now, some lady gets credit for this game, but if you watch her interviews, she's seems lost to even answer the questions. I know it's not a great game, but hey, it was the early 80's!
This game idea was stolen from my brother and me! I entered this concept into a video game idea contest at a School called New North, located in Springfield Mass, now called Gerena...sad truth, I didn't win the contest. But it was my brother's idea, I drew it out, and entered it! Yet, some lady gets the credit!
If you could explain in more detail. This game appeared in 1982 for the Atari 2600; Do you mean that you participated in an ideas contest to develop this video game at that time? Greetings!
@@JaimeSalcedoA_72 I was in ,5th or 6th grade, and some people came to our school, and they asked us kids to create an idea for a video game. So when I got home, I got paper, pencils ect, and began thinking what to enter for this contest, then my older brother ask me what was I doing, and I told him about the contest, then he said why not do Spiderman,(so I thought, great idea) I drew it out, wrote a narrative, and turned the concept into the contest, Yet it was never mentioned. Then not long afterwards...The Spiderman game came out. Plus Parker Brothers was part of Milton Bradley's which wasn't far from my location. So, as I said, Spiderman was stolen from my older brother and myself. But I give my brother the real credit for Spiderman. Thanks for asking.
@@mrg466 Oh I see! Very interesting story... Well, congratulations to your brother and you, since the idea is well implemented, for a game with the great limitations of the Atari console... By the way, I used the translator, since I don't know a lot of english, hehe. I'm from Ecuador- South America! I send you a big shout out, from an old school gamer, from a distance!
@@JaimeSalcedoA_72 Hey thanks, that means a lot! I just hate that the woman who programmed this game, is getting all the credit, when it really should go to my older brother Marcus Sherman. But thanks!
I don't know if I should be happy or upset. I suppose a little of both. I suppose happy that you liked and played the game, but pissed off at the same time. As stated in other comments here,...I was the one who entered this concept in to a contest, years ago, (my older brother gave me this idea), but we got ripped off! Furthermore it didn't win ! Don't get me wrong, it's not a great game by today's standards, but even still, some lady who had nothing to do with this,...she gets credit for The first Spiderman video game in history...and she had nothing to do with it!
What does that mean? Also, I'm the real person who entered this concept of this game into a contest years ago (but my older brother gave me the idea)! But we got ripped off ! They stole this game from us!
From Parker Brothers? How,...who gave it to them? This game was nothing more than an idea my brother gave me, back when I was a kid, and I needed an idea for a video game, for a contest, and he said why not do Spider-Man? So I drew it out, gave a little narritave, and turned into this contest, it didn't win, but it later got produced, and of course, we got screwed! Now some lady gets credit, for our game!
