Do This To Avoid Autofill

In this video I go over a tip to avoid getting autofilled so you can dodge less often. When you create a lobby and select your roles, it will show you what roles are “priority” and which ones aren’t. If a role is priority it means that not as many people are queuing up for it at the moment. Riot offers autofill protection to people queuing for priority roles to get more people to queue up for that role. The roles which are priority change fairly often and if you restart your lobby every few minutes you can wait to queue up until your role is priority. This should only take a few tries. Since the client only checks what roles are priority when you create a new lobby, you can continue to enjoy autofill protection for as many games in a row as you want until you dodge/restart your client, or join another lobby. Just repeat the process if you need to make a new lobby.
My favorite method a quick chat msg of “oof autofilled” followed by “well I’ll be playing x role even if it means 2 in said role deal w it” followed by locking for that role and 9/10 times they dodge
Alright, BUT! How do we avoid 4 players on our team being autofilled vs 5 members on enemy team on role 😂
One thing you can do is restart your queue if it goes above the estimated wait time so it doesn't try to force you into a game. If its taking to long to put a lobby together riot will try to force a game even if there are uneven autofills. Of course you will still get games like that sometimes but it does help to mitigate it in my experience.

i have never seen any role other than bot get prio on my server
Been hearing this from a few people on other servers, very unfortunate if true. I guess in some regions there is a permanent shortage of players in certain roles due to a lack of interest.
so I used to play on the TR server then swapped to euw and that place never changes, adc supp priority. never saw it change.
It is true that some roles will take longer to become priority than others. It just comes down to how patient you are willing to be in order to have better games.
People need to just get familiar with the game in its entirety. Autofill has always been part of league and it's just stupid that people want their exclusive role, all the time, guaranteed for them. It's just the nature of multiplayer games. I remember playing Goldeneye and everybody wanted to play Oddjob. Guess what? Only one person got to play Oddjob at a time. There are an tons of examples.
Autofill is part of the game. Catering to people that just want to rinse/repeat their one role/one champion to greatness is not in the best interest of the game, and finding work-arounds to avoid autofill is temporary at best - pointless at worse - and stupid either way. Just play league. The only exception to this would be at the highest MMR's where competition is significantly higher and wait times are inevitably longer by virtue of a much smaller pool of prospective teammates.
