You KNOW you here about all these turntables some seem better then the others according to the videos but then technical wise when you buy 1 or 2 it comes down to the money and what's really better then the others
Trust me guys you'll love the Planar 1 (whichever planar 1 model you get). I've had mine for around 2 and a half years and it's honestly incredible. Best entry level turntable to ever exist!! Well worth the money
what you guys think it's best to pair with my nad 3020i - a "planar 1 plus" or a "planar 1 without phono pre-amp" using nad phono stage? (it's quite old the phono stage in nad 3020i - i don't know if the rega phono pre-amp included in planar 1 plus it's better than the one in my nad.
I bought a Planar 2 in 1996 and it’s still running perfect well day on, day out! I don’t like the platter on the 1 series. The glass platter is far nicer.
I do like the glossy look (a lot) more on the photos that I see on the internet but fingerprints (and dust) are bound to happen in real life so thanks for pointing that out.
Hi, any news on availability and price of this new bundle? Is it only Planar 1 + amp + speakers OR can it be Planar 1 Plus + speakers? If so, which price for either? Thank you for any info you can provide.
Hi Muriel, if you are referring to the upcoming System One bundle, this will include the Planar 1, IO Amp and Kyte loudspeakers with speaker cable. If you are after a different variation, this would be a custom price. The RRP of the System One bundle has not been confirmed yet but we are hoping for information over the next few months. Hope this helps.
Hi there, yes they can work with Sonos. You would need to connect them to a Sonos component with a line in so that includes the Port, Amp or Five. The Five is a wireless speaker in its own right and so often adds better value as does everything the Port can do but in a wireless speaker too. I hope that helps!
@@silky-smooth You would still need to use a Sonos Port to connect to the turntable and then this can be shared on any other Sonos speakers in your home. Unfortunately the line-in is disabled on the Five if they're used as surrounds. Alternatively, you can unbind the Fives as surrounds and use them for your turntable, negating the need for a Port.
Bad decision by Rega, in my opinion. I was all set to buy a gloss black Planar 1, but now it's only available in a plain-jane matt finish. And to add insult to injury costs 25 quid more. Grrrr, it's enough to drive a fellow to Pro-Ject! 😫

Love those turntables....i also will trade in my Lenco for an Planer 1 soon.
Exactly what I'm planning

I pretty much prefer the matte black color. Love the design of Rega turntables, anyway.
Thank you for the video!
Rega one plus? Rega P2? Or Pro-Ject debut carbon Evo??
I've just bought the Planar 1 Plus and I'm wondering if it's possible to use any RCA cable for it.
I´m interested on the planar1 , I have a AV reciever amplifier has phono is it enough to play ,
Awesome video man! Pretty informative.
Do you think a stock (and serviced with upgraded 24v motor) 1990's P3 is about the same as a new stock P3?
I’ve really been wanting one for years! But now they’re over $700 USD when they used to be around $400. What happened?!
Hi!, rega planar 1 plus has bluetooth?
I like Matt finish
The glossy finish
Is so prone to damage
With scratches
Would nice if
Thay offered the
P2 and p3
In matt
ive got my rega 1 plus on order and i'm looking for an amp, small budget, can't find any sites to help with this, can you?

I like the gloss better and Im not sure a "better" belt that doesn't lead to any discernable improvement in sound quality justifies the price hike.
I do like the glossy look (a lot) more on the photos that I see on the internet but fingerprints (and dust) are bound to happen in real life so thanks for pointing that out.
what about the walnut color
So, when can I buy the new 2021.v rega? (Matt black color is what I wanted)

@@smarthomesounds Thank you for your prompt reply! Is the new Planar 1 Plus with matt finish already available on its own?
Hey would this work with a Naim muso 1?
Seems like prices continued to rise over the years, $600usd now, it doubled…
What’s the difference between the two?
Google.
Can any active loudspeaker be connected to the p1 plus model?
Yes, as long as the loudspeaker has some form of a line in like a 3.5mm headphone jack or RCA.
Is the bundle only available in black?
Hi there, if you are referring to the System One bundle, yes this will only be available in black. Thanks for watching!
@@smarthomesounds We need a white IO and white kite speakers 👍
So who messed up on the reversed photo of the white deck at 1:53 ?
lol
nice
looks like you painted your nails when demonstrating the finger print on floss finish! :0)
Crap the planar 1 plus isn't available in my country

Rega Kytes aren't new I have a pair that are over 20 years old.
They are not the same speakers. These are the new Kytes.
@@JamesSmith-qy3eu I know that I am referring to the name silly.

The main difference is the necessity of MM high-quality phono stage! You don't need one for the rega planar 1 plus. The main point is not the design!
3:20 into a 5:16 video, and you have barely mentioned anything other than matte/gloss. Try again.
it's 400 eur cheapest....
I wouldn't buy that matt finish, it's just cost cutting and doesn't look very nice. Glad I have a gloss white P1.
Just an advert.
Can’t even pronounce Rega.
Noone wants these turds. We need fully automatic turntables with easily swapped out cartridges and excellent onboard preamps.
Silly boy.
