- Will Taylor explains the 5 top mistakes IOSH Managing Safely students made when submitting their practical projects. If you can avoid these mistakes, then you have an excellent chance of passing your final IOSH Managing Safely assessment on the 1st attempt. Therefore, no need to waste time making corrections and re-submitting them.

I am thinking I have failed as I didn’t fill out the review date part. I didn’t understand it, I had put reviews in the end column of each of my assessments. How can I have 1 review date for all 4 of my risk assessments, it doesn’t make sense as some of the risks were emergency’s.
You won't fail just because of that. You would only lose points. There is ONE review date, at the end of the form. The other dates are "deadlines". And if some of the risks are emergencies, then perhaps that deadline should be 1 day?...
Two risk assessments is enough for a warehouse?
You could do a warehouse in one risk assessment if it’s small and simple. On top of that you would need fire, manual handling, COSHH assessments and so on.
@@CompassaeLearning Thank you
@@dastonamichaels1854 Check out this HSE example. Interestingly, it would fail the IOSH project as the hazard descriptions are insufficient. Also missing the risk ratings. For a bigger more complicated warehouse, you might need more than one document.
Mistake 6 the template do not address the risk-No column what is the risk? More
a hazard analysis than anything else.
The risk is covered in the how people might be harmed column.
How to paas iosh
Can i use my NG2 that i passed to answer this.
NEBOSH NG2 and IOSH Managing Safely courses are different! I deliver both courses and would not accept your NG2 project as your submission for the IOSH course project. The scale of those are worlds apart!

No worries. I was asking because there was a place to enter one on your website. Seems like I missed the offer.@@CompassaeLearning
Is it easy to find a job after achieving IOSH and NEBOSH? I'm currently with another course provider that promises a "job guarantee" at the end, so my assumption is that it's difficult to find a job on my own.
Saying ' 3 months ' is not sufficient. Guys please put the exact date for when the action should be monitored. I lost marks for this specifically.
Then your assessor was being a bit harsh. We don’t deduct points for that.
There was a space on our practical risk assessment papers to put review date but I didn’t understand how you can come up with 1 review date for 4 risk assessments. The time should differ as some risks need more urgency than others. I found a lot of this course very strange. How can you have let’s say 3 months review for a life threatening risk?
@@CompassaeLearningIt’s better to use a date rather than a time period (1 month, 3 months etc.) as it is then absolutely clear when the action is required to be done. I do not award marks if a time period is stated.
@@Trebor2024 As you please. 👍
