The cartoons/shows from the 90's were some of the best: Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Talespin, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Power Rangers, VR Troopers, TGIF [Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch], Rocko's Modern Life, All That, Keenan and Kel... wow I watched a lot of shows.
its crazy to see the overlap because i was born late 90's so grew up early 2000 and the oldest toys i had were tamagotchis and those houses that you can connect to each other and then everything just changed to my gameboy lol. bearstein bears, powerpuff girls, totally spies and boy meets world were my favourite. Always fun walking down memory lane
I grew up in the 90s... it was definitely the best decade to be a kid. I played outside mostly, but I have strong memories of watching Saturday morning cartoons with my sister, still in our pajamas with bowls of cereal on the living room floor. Recess was definitely my favorite cartoon that came on Saturday mornings. I also loved watching Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo. I liked all the classic cartoons for the most part. Ah! Real Monsters! was another great cartoon. Also, Are You Afraid of the Dark... that show creeped me out so much, but I still watched it. Another creepy show I watched... So Weird. I also collected Pokemon cards in a binder... as well as other trading cards and pogs. I liked playing with Barbies, but did not like the Bratz dolls (those eyes creeped me out). Also, I had a nano baby and tamagotchi.
This brought back so many of my childhood memories! Everything you talked about I had at some point in my childhood. The late 90's and early 2000's were the best.
Dude this literally was a trip through my memory lanes hahaha. Watched all the shows mentioned and many more. Don't really know what was my favorite. but literally loved them all hahah.
Estelle Lopez Avatar is awesome!! It is such a well made/written cartoon that you can enjoy as an adult too. I agree. And uncle Iroh is still my role model to this date!
A few years ago, I was preparing to go off to college and decided it was time for a rewatch. It was the happiest two weeks of my summer. The show holds up so well.
I was born in 2002 so I missed out on the 90's but, growing up in the Middle East had its plus points because I was able to watch older Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon Shows like That's So Raven and Courage the Cowardly Dog and Hey Arnold and its really sad that you don't get to see those cartoons/shows on TV because for many of us they mean alot to us and it really sad that kids these days don't get to watch them.
I would have liked this Lunch Break topic to have had an older member of Wong Fu to add a different perspective, even if it was just not relating to all of the things the rest of you talked about. My experience of the 90's was between yours and what Phil and Wes would have had, since I'm older than the four of you, but younger than Phil and Wes. Are your ages the reason no one here mentioned Power Rangers, Disney Afternoon, or the Ninja Turtles that began in 1987? Ashley never mentioned what she wanted to watch in place of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball Z.
It could be. I'm probably 1-2 years younger than them, and I watched the same shows they did. But I do remember TMNT and Power Rangers were a huge deal when I was even younger. My auntie who babysat me had two older boys who were born late 80s and they were really into the original TMNT. Both were still popular for my brother who was 4 years younger than me. We still have Power Ranger toys (SPD and Dino) hidden in our attic somewhere.
Yes! I used to be super into it to the point I made all my board game characters Code Lyoko characters. I then I tried learning French and bugged my parents about going to France.
Reese's Puffs! Peanut butter AND chocolate! Watched so many Saturday morning cartoons I don't even know. Batman, Static Shock, Jackie Chan Adventures, Pepper Ann, Recess, Doug, SO MANY MORE
I grew up watching the live action of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Melissa Joan Hart) and the animated one. Totally Spies, Power Puff Girls, Pokemon, Kim Possible, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Teen Titans, Fairy Odd Parents, Jimmy Neurton, KND, Danny Phantom, Ben 10, Avatar the Last Air Bender, Class of 3000, Hey Arnold, Dexter's Laboratory, Doug, As Told By Ginger, Recess, Ed Edd and Eddy, and the OG PBS Kids shows etc.
I had the same problem as Ashley with the Furby!! it kept making noises even when I took out the battery. It's soo creepy when you go to sleep with a nightlamp and the Furby stares at you and makes noises... In the end I gave it away to another friend xD
Sunday: *Sees Taylor* *Begins panicking and acting weird* *Runs away only to come back and take a photo* *Runs away again* (Thank you for taking a photo with me and my friend though, it really made my day to run into someone I look up to)
YEEEE Ashley also watching Girl Meets world when it was out :DDD No shame that I am 23 lol. BUT Boy Meets world definitely holds its weight Jen! Also this was a major Nostalgia trip for me lmao, I watched like all the cartoons and shows they mentioned hahaha
"Cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner!" -Wes and Christine during the guilty pleasure lunch break (: Did you find Wesley's hidden cereal box?! I'm happy my favorite is Taylor's too!!!
Before watching, me: OMG! 90's cartoons lunch break! Bring on the nostalgia!! After watching: ...I need the Wes & Phil version so I can participate in the nostalgia. All of the cartoons and commercials they talked about were what kids were watching when I was babysitting them.
I love Digimon too :D I'm even watching Digimon Adventure Tri now lol. The sequel to season 1 and 2. I've always loved the main characters from season 1 and 2
It was easier to create different stories because the original series started out with seven main characters. They added Kari, Tai's sister, later on. I enjoyed the lessons learned throughout the show and how each of the crests and eggs for the characters played a major role.
Yes, cashier registers were a thing! I loved it so much, it also helped that my father work as a cashier at a Deli close to central park. He was a hero to me ❤
This video was great! But, it made me realize I am in the Phil and Wes camp. My favorite cereal was Frosted Flakes and, of course, I had to watch Captain Planet on Saturday morning!
'91! Captain Planet, Out of The Box, PB& J Otter, Pokemon, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Jackie Chan & His Adventures, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Static Shock, and Arthur
I love knowing that I am the same age as all 4 of you (probably a year or two younger than Taylor, Ashley and Benson), and that this entire video made me reminisce my own childhood! :D POKEMON! POWER RANGERS! NEOPETS! :D
Yeaaaah! I definitely had cash registers too lol. I also used to have dolls from animated movies, like Mulan, Pocahontas, and Sailor Moon; I used to cut their hair bc I thought they'd grow back, then instead of changing their clothes, I'd interchange their heads lol
I grew up in the 90's and most of this stuff is common to me as well (I'm from Portugal), except from the cereals I could relate with everything else, the cartoons (HOW COULD YOU GUYS FORGET SAILOR MOON??) and the toys. I just remembered at that time though Cartoon Network wasn't subtitled or dubbed here so we watched the original versions of the cartoons, at the time I didn't knew enough English to understand everything but still I really liked the cartoons.
Rugrats was my all-time favorite show. And cereal is a tough call, but top three I'd go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap'n Crunch Berry, and Cocoa Puffs.
I was always so eager to wake up at 6 in the morning for Yu-Gi-Oh! Like I never failed, then on Monday my mom is dragging me out of my bed at 6 oclock! XD
Saaaaame! All my shows! I had a bunch of cash registers too! I was obsessed with being a bank on all the board games too. Now, I cashier part-time to pay for tuition. I didn't know you were standing up the whole time, as a kid I sat down with my register :,( LOL
I remember all the toys commercials that I saw that made me want toys like Floam and Moon Shoes. Also the Amanda Show and Naruto where some of my favorite shows to watch. :)
Man, I grew up with a lot of shows: Avatar the Last Airbender, Family Guy, the Simpsons, Kim Possible, Yu Gi Oh, Dragon Ball, American Dragon, Full Metal Alchemist, Lilo & Stitch, the Suite life of Zack and Cody, Pokemon, That's So Raven, Total Drama Island, Rugrats, Zoey 101, Ned Declassified, Tom and Jerry, Arthur, Clifford, Dexter's Laboratory, Zack and Luther, Danny Phantom, Courage the Cowardly dog, and so many others. I haven't rewatched a majority of them in forever though. I've forgotten so many details. It's not going to be the same experience.
Oh no, it's passed midnight... I was going to log out but... I just... I was a kid in the 90's and I just can't resist this! :D also, weekend morning cartoons: pokemon! (didn't even watch the video yet, just hoping it's in)
I was born in 2001. I grew up doing those things since I had older siblings. Sonic X was my Saturday morning show and Power Rangers was also a show I watched!!! You can't forget when boomerang was a channel and wasn't with Cartoon Network.
Great episode. It's cool how similar our 90's childhood was from New Zealand. The same trends for toys and shows. Some cartoons that I'd like to mention would be Doug, darkwing duck, Arthur, samurai pizza cats and the CG show reboot. These particularly stood out for me, among many others, but then I'd just be listing a gagillion shows here. I used to watch dragonball z taped from Hong Kong, and back then almost no one in NZ or the states were exposed to it. It was quite weird when it got its English dub and then it became mainstream.
I LOVEEE THIS COMBO (IF ONLY CHRIS IS HERE AS WELL) oh if they do a lunch break not with the number of four people!!! Also...whenever this happens, it's obvious that Jen is younger than them all xDDD
I've just realised cinnamon toast crunch is branded as Cini Minis in Germany and there's the apple version called Äpple Minis! Sadly, I can't get Capn Crunch :( What I'd give to have some!
Sometimes I forget we're close in age lol... My childhood consisted of everything you guys talked about xD I also remember watching Zoey 101, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Pucca, etc. Ah, good times. (& Winx!) And no shame, I honestly rewatched all the Totally Spies and Barbie's Dreamhouse episodes on Netflix (looked for Kim Possible too but they didn't have it :( )
Shows I watched: Wind Club, Yugi- Oh, Totally Spies, W.I.T.C.H, powerpuff girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Shou Lin Showdown, and soooo much more! Omg lol
Neopets tho. Had one plushie to play the online game. And then on my bday my cousin gave me a neopet game thing too but the screen was tinyyyy but the device was fat
Oh my gosh pokemon and digimon! I loved those shows, and totally spies! and Powerpuff girls! My sister and I had a giant box of Barbie stuff lol over time became a huge collection. But then I gave them away when we both got older. Pogs were the best!! Those got lost in a shoe box during a move :(
Watching this just served as a reminder of how much older I am than the people in this video. By the time Yu-Gi-Oh! hit the air, I was already in university.
Wow I'm impressed, Ashley not only ate on this episode, she refilled her bowl!!
Hahaha! Cereal is the only exception
Because it'll get soggy.
Finally! They're eating something that I have in the house 😂 *runs to get myself some cereal and milk*
I have cereal...but I don't have milk 😂
The cartoons/shows from the 90's were some of the best: Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Talespin, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Power Rangers, VR Troopers, TGIF [Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch], Rocko's Modern Life, All That, Keenan and Kel... wow I watched a lot of shows.

Always fun walking down memory lane
Honestly, Wong Fu is my childhood. I remember rushing home every Friday after school to watch Wong Fu Weekends
Ah! jenn's pokemon rap is so cutee
Saturday morning cartoons = Pokemon!!!
That Brown Guy omg EVERYDAY! It was 8 am right 😂
Later on it was. At the very beginning was 7am or earlier.

PowerCookie1
Oh yeah it use to be really early, I remember now
I grew up with "Avatar: The Last Airbender"...re-watched it as an adult
Estelle Lopez it's the best as an adult, so many jokes!
Estelle Lopez same
Yess! I rewatched the entire series last year
I'm having breakfast too!!!! When you guys upload its always in the morning in Australia for me so yay I can eat with you!!!! 💜
This video made me more emotional (because of nostalgia) than most Wong Fu videos. lol.
I didn't want this episode to end- it was so nostalgic.
cartoons & cereal: an iconic duo
Lol other people had the cash registers too. I thought it was just me lmao
Joyce Lian nah I had a few too. 😂😂😂

Those were bad days. But one more thing....
I would have liked this Lunch Break topic to have had an older member of Wong Fu to add a different perspective, even if it was just not relating to all of the things the rest of you talked about. I love this!!! brings back so many memories
POWER RANGERS!!
GO GO POWER RANGERS
What does Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes) say about WongFu? "They're Grrrreeaat!!!"
Yu-Gi-Oh and Winx Club were my Saturday favorites!! The good ole days :)
Did anyone watch Code Lyoko?
I mentioned Code Lyoko and no one knew what I was talking about! Haha
Estelle Lopez I watched it, but for some reason I only recognize the characters big foreheads.
That show was amazing!
Estelle Lopez it is still my favorite!
Yes! I used to be super into it to the point I made all my board game characters Code Lyoko characters. I then I tried learning French and bugged my parents about going to France.
I'm a guy and idk if it's normal to notice a girl's hair, but damn Ashley's hair looks so nice 😍
Ippei Morita, her hair is always so pretty!!!
I'm also a guy and I always notice her hair. Because she's pretty. LOL. Hahaha
I watched most of the things you guys talked about. Cartoon Network is definitely the epitome of my childhood. VIRTUAL HIGH FIVE!
Barbies & Bratz I remember omg, but like I also remember Polly Pockets !!
Duuuude...!! I was all about Polly Pockets too(:

Eating my after dance snack with you guys!
Reese's Puffs! Peanut butter AND chocolate!
Watched so many Saturday morning cartoons I don't even know. Batman, Static Shock, Jackie Chan Adventures, Pepper Ann, Recess, Doug, SO MANY MORE
Omg Bratz 😂 I loved both the show and the dolls! And yes, the cashier register 😂
Lunch break is 100x better when Jenn is in it ☺️
I grew up watching the live action of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Melissa Joan Hart) and the animated one. Totally Spies, Power Puff Girls, Pokemon, Kim Possible, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Teen Titans, Fairy Odd Parents, Jimmy Neurton, KND, Danny Phantom, Ben 10, Avatar the Last Air Bender, Class of 3000, Hey Arnold, Dexter's Laboratory, Doug, As Told By Ginger, Recess, Ed Edd and Eddy, and the OG PBS Kids shows etc.

this went from fave cereals to saturday morning cartoons to literally ALL things 90s childhood real quick hahahah
Sunday:
*Sees Taylor*
*Begins panicking and acting weird*
*Runs away only to come back and take a photo*
*Runs away again*
(Thank you for taking a photo with me and my friend though, it really made my day to run into someone I look up to)
I was obsessed with Blue's Clues and I'd watch the same episode over and over on my VHS almost every night before I went to bed
The look of disgust when Ashley said the Frosted Flakes slogan cracked me up. that look of disgust and throwing of shade at Taylor
Courage the Cowardly Dog!!!!!
TYC Chi I used to freak out yet still used to watch it
YEEEE Ashley also watching Girl Meets world when it was out :DDD No shame that I am 23 lol. BUT Boy Meets world definitely holds its weight Jen!
Also this was a major Nostalgia trip for me lmao, I watched like all the cartoons and shows they mentioned hahaha
Everything you mentioned other than the cereal. I LIVED IT. FROM OVERSEAS 🙌🏼❤️
Saturday morning cartoons= Digimon!! ❤️
"Cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner!" -Wes and Christine during the guilty pleasure lunch break (:
Did you find Wesley's hidden cereal box?!
I'm happy my favorite is Taylor's too!!!
Honey Nut Cheerios!!!!!!!! As a kid, I also loved KIX and Rice Krispies.
I love Frosted Flakes because it makes the milk taste really good
Before watching, me: OMG! 90's cartoons lunch break! Bring on the nostalgia!!
After watching: ...I need the Wes & Phil version so I can participate in the nostalgia. All of the cartoons and commercials they talked about were what kids were watching when I was babysitting them.
I renumbered every commercial you all mentioned 😭 & all the cartoons! Throwbacks for sure
Was I the only one who loved watching Digimon as a kid?
As huge Pokemon fan, Digimon anime was way better than Pokemon. Pokemon had the best game.
speechless05 the Digimon anime stories were always so much more intense!!!
He was a hero to me ❤
frosted flakes are my favorite!
and i'm glad you guys put cereal first
This video was great! But, it made me realize I am in the Phil and Wes camp. My favorite cereal was Frosted Flakes and, of course, I had to watch Captain Planet on Saturday morning!
When Ashley pulled the peanut butter Captain Crunch my heart dropped. I completely forgot those existed!!! Finna go buy some right now! 😁😁😁
NEOPETS! :D
Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, and That's So Raven-- I remember coming home to these shows after school haha
I'm with Jen. I've never watched boy meets world. I was more into cartoons
Since I didn't have cable when I was little, I grew up watching VHS tapes of dragon tales, arthur, and digimon
Yeaaaah! I definitely had cash registers too lol. I also used to have dolls from animated movies, like Mulan, Pocahontas, and Sailor Moon; I used to cut their hair bc I thought they'd grow back, then instead of changing their clothes, I'd interchange their heads lol
Duuuude! I used to switch my Sailor Moon dolls' heads too! (not weird at all 😅)
I grew up in the 90's and most of this stuff is common to me as well (I'm from Portugal), except from the cereals I could relate with everything else, the cartoons (HOW COULD YOU GUYS FORGET SAILOR MOON??) and the toys.
I just remembered at that time though Cartoon Network wasn't subtitled or dubbed here so we watched the original versions of the cartoons, at the time I didn't knew enough English to understand everything but still I really liked the cartoons.
I'm glad Taylor said his third fave was pops because those are my fave. 😍
Also omg I had two cash registers when I was younger 😂
Rugrats was my all-time favorite show. And cereal is a tough call, but top three I'd go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap'n Crunch Berry, and Cocoa Puffs.
Duuuude polly pocket,Barbie,pogs,hotwheels,bayblade(toys) Tiny Tunes, Batman Beyond,Tenchi Muyo,Gundam Wing I could go on but I won't 😅
I'm like girl fanning...because of Ashley watched the whole videos of Wongfu in just 2days... more power to you Ashley
"Rice and water"? I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was always so eager to wake up at 6 in the morning for Yu-Gi-Oh! Like I never failed, then on Monday my mom is dragging me out of my bed at 6 oclock! XD
Loved this video! Could totally relate! Ashley I love Peanut butter captain crunch!

I haven't rewatched a majority of them in forever though. I've forgotten so many details. It's not going to be the same experience.
OOOOOHHHHHH YEEEEEAAAAHHHH WITH THE SATURDAY SHOWS!!!!!
Who remembers One Saturday Morning?? Definitely my favorite era of cartoons
Oh no, it's passed midnight... I was going to log out but... I just... I was a kid in the 90's and I just can't resist this! :D
also, weekend morning cartoons: pokemon!
Love all of the cereal choices!!
Cash registers were EVERYTHING to me! XD
I've just realised cinnamon toast crunch is branded as Cini Minis in Germany and there's the apple version called Äpple Minis! Sadly, I can't get Capn Crunch :( What I'd give to have some!
Yess I did! Were the same age! But cereal is definately has to be cap crunch then CTC
And all time favorite toy was my n64/ ps1
Oh and cartoon favortie is probably spongbob and dbz
I demand more Pokemon impressions by Jen

I didn't fully grow up in that time, but because of my older siblings, I love a lot of what you guys were talking about!!!😆
Sometimes I forget we're close in age lol... My childhood consisted of everything you guys talked about xD
I also remember watching Zoey 101, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Pucca, etc. Ah, good times. (& Winx!)
And no shame, I honestly rewatched all the Totally Spies and Barbie's Dreamhouse episodes on Netflix (looked for Kim Possible too but they didn't have it :( )
I don't think anyone really knew how to play with Pokemon cards lol everyone just collected them
YUGIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH

Shows I watched: Wind Club, Yugi- Oh, Totally Spies, W.I.T.C.H, powerpuff girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Shou Lin Showdown, and soooo much more! Omg lol
Whoops! Meant "Winx club" lol
Growing up in the early 2000s is kind of like experiencing both the late 90s and the 2000s💗 I'm a proud 90s baby hehe
Those got lost in a shoe box during a move :(
BORN 2000 🙌🏻🙌🏻 pokemon was lifeeeee
What I reminisce about my childhood is my will to live
IT'S THE END OF A WEEK, A WONG FU WEEK, A WONG FU WEEKEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNDDDDDDD
Watching this just served as a reminder of how much older I am than the people in this video. By the time Yu-Gi-Oh! hit the air, I was already in university.
