  • Bayezid Spared Selim's Life | Magnificent Century
"THIS IS THE LAST TIME SELIM!" Magnificent Century Episode 133: • Magnificent Century Ep...
Suleiman doesn't want to accept that Hürrem will die and tries to find a cure for her. Meanwhile, Lala Mustafa Pasha takes Selim's side and sets a trap for Bayezid. Bayezid loses his temper because of the letter he received from Lala Mustafa and wages battle against Selim. Signor Pedro offers Mihrimah to run away together. Rüstem loses his all faith for Mihrimah and gets close with Signora Mendes. Suleiman and Hürrem wrestle with their consciences in Bursa where they have gone fır finding a cure. While Suleiman taking the hardest test of his life in Mustafa's tomb, Hürrem asks for Mihrimah's blessing. Hürrem accepts the death and asks for a wish from Suleiman. This wish sets Suleiman's heart on fire.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

In Episode 138 Bayazid admits: “The greatest misfortune was the death of my mother”. Hurrem Sultan being alive was the only way for Bayazid to stay alive. Only then noone would dare to execute him: neither Selim, nor Suleiman or any of Pashas/Viziers.

The only way Bayezid and all other brother remain alive is that Mustafa being alive. Beyazid would kill Selim if he had become Sultan, and Selim would do the same, even if their mother was alive. But if Mustofa was alive, he would protect all his brothers.

For those people who say that sparing Selim’s life was Bayazid’s mistake, HOW do you imagine the development of story if Bayazid killed Selim now?
✔️ First of all Hurrem would never forgive Bayazid killing brother, just as she would never forgive Selim killing Bayazid. Plus considering her health condition Hurrem would die the same day with heart attack or stroke. Bayazid would never forgive himself that and he would either kill himself or spend rest life suffering. So Bayazid would lose.
✔️ Suleiman never favored Bayazid on the throne. If Bayazid killed Selim, Suleiman would enthrone Murad-Selim’s son and exile Bayazid. So Bayazid would still lose.
✔️ Bayazid going extreme full Fratricide-after killing Selim he would have to kill Murad too, to delete Selim’s line. In this case throne would be his, but again- he would lose all family’s support: mother, sister and Suleiman of course. He would suffer all life. So again Bayazid loses.
As you can see it happened exactly how it should happen. Bayazid had no chance. 😞

    • @piotrrutkowskl9972
      @piotrrutkowskl9972 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Eralp Erikci Suleiman would never killl Bayazid when Hurrem was alive, what are you even watching?
And you know Hurrem was illl, how do you imagine if she requested seeing her both sons before death and Bayzid told her he killed Selim?
Just because she is dying doesn’t mean it wouldn’t matter to Bayazid.

Bayezid has a conscience, unlike Selim. Do you understand what conscience is? This is what makes you act not in the way that will be beneficial to you, but in the right way. Selim could slander his own brother, steal gold from him, intrigue against him for personal gain. But Bayezid could not. This is what separates normal people from scoundrels and bastards. Conscience.

@@DimSK. sorry mate but I have to disagree here. Selim and Bayazid were quarreling ever since they were children. When Mustafa was managing Manisa.
Selim had always felt jealousy for his younger, more talented brother and tried to cover his own inadequacy by undermining Bayazid (that's why he sabotaged his bow before their archery competition and ruined his decorative knife). And Bayazid being an insecure and naive person striving to hide it behind an explosive temper, was feeling unwanted, unloved and ignored. And with his raging outbursts he was playing Selim's game just fine. Time and time again he fallen out of favour because of this. Time and time again he failed or refused to learn from his previous mistakes.
And with their father always busy in running the empire and their mother busy fending off Ibrahim, Hatice and Sah, Mustafa's strongest supporters, nobody could address this issue properly.
So when they grew up they were more than happy to follow the traditional fatricide. Mustafa wasn't needed for that. These two knuckleheads could hardly do a better job
