Love Prehistoric Gardens... I still remember going there for a school field trip when I was in grade school. One of the original roadside stops still going strong. Just the history behind the place is fascinating, but then you have life size dinosaur sculptures in a beautiful lush rain forest setting, and you have magic.
Justin, thank you for this great video! My husband & I drove up the Oregon coast on our honeymoon over 30 years ago. We stopped at the Prehistoric Gardens. Gorgeous place! I didn't know it was still there. Awesome!!!
I used to live an hour drive from the dinosaur park as I used to call it as a child. I've been there dozens of times. I'm so glad to see it's still there.
Love love your road trips! Your old man talk always makes my 8 year old laugh! Always great family entertainment! We just ordered two Randomland shirts and will wear them proudly! Thank you Justin and Ally! 😁
I was hoping you would stop here on your way home;) First saw this back in 1969 when my Grandpa retired & we moved up here from Burbank. Live about 20 minutes from the Dinosaur park. We go visit the Redwoods every chance we get. Did you ride the glass Tram over the top of the Trees! A must do! Have you heard of the Ghost Redwoods? They are pure White & can't survive if separated from their Mother Tree. They try to keep the locations of these trees secret ;) Did you go to the Oregon Vortex? And the Oregon Caves? ;)
We spent our wedding night at a cheap motel in Crescent City. So foggy we never saw the lighthouse. But the foghorn sounded every 30 seconds & kept us awake all night. Yeah, that's what kept us awake all night. 😅 P.S. We were teenagers. I was still in highschool! Marrying that guy was the best thing I ever did. We're still married. Still young & in love. (You and Ally are adorable. I just had to tell you about that.) God bless you both.
You should’ve put your feet in the Oregon side of the border and top of your body in the California side and said “I may be in Oregon but my heart is in California.” 😂 Awesome adventure! I know there’s more to come because I can think of a few odd Oregon landmarks that were missed this trip. Looking forward to more!!!!!
About 2 months ago I took a road trip up to Seattle. I cut over from the 5 to Ukiah and took the coast the rest of the way up. I highly recommend this drive!
Oh, I am so Jelly! I went to college in Portland and spent a lot of week ends on the Oregon coast. I miss it a lot. Of course our Northern Calif coast is beautiful too.
Good to see you finally made it to the PNW especially Enchanted Forest. I knew you would love that little gem. Looks like you took Highway 101 which is the best route as it shows off our region’s scenic beauty. Didn’t know about the dino attraction. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏼
hey justin i live in oregon and thanks for visting an going ther i loved it when i was a kid and im only 13 know i love that place it was such a nice place alot of that stuff wasnt there a couple of years ago i love your videos
Great video Justin. I documented the family trip up the P.C.H. in Oregon last Summer in the RV. We skipped the Prehistoric Garden, but did check out the Redwoods and stayed at a really cool place called Emerald Forrest RV park in Trinidad. We also checked out the drive through tree because I saw it on one of your previous videos. Amazing stuff.
Another excellent video. A spider above your bed? I can't imagine waking up to that. Are you doing the filming locations of Stand By Me? May I suggest July 23 -- Stand By Me Day in Brownsville, Oregon. Never been there but I look forward to seeing photos on their Facebook page. I shared your Blockbuster video and tagged the store.
nice job here Justin my daughter and I are big fans!!! Hope you and Allie had fun up here...p.s stop bye Portland some time lots of cool/weirdness to check out thanks and have a safe trip back tip your hat to the oc for me
Justin - You drove right through where I live -- in Brookings -- and you didn't even wave Hi! But I gave you a thumbs up anyway. I moved here 30 years ago from Tustin (and CdM). You are my contact with Orange County, my childhood! You've got to Keep it up!
I live in Crescent City and have never stopped to see the road side art. It's really cool. I'm going to have to stop by. Sorry Battery Point Lighthouse was closed when you were there. It is haunted, so pretty interesting.
Here's hoping that you hit a few more Oregon stops like John Day Fossil Beds, the Oregon Caves National Monument and preserve. The Grotto in Portland, and all the beauty along the Oregon Coast like the Cheese Factory in Tillamook or the Aquarium in Newport etc.
Oh man, I live in Trinidad California. Next time you come up this way, stop by and check out "Wedding Rock" and "Trinidad Head", both places perfect for weddings!!! :) You can take a kayak tour of Trinidad Bay and see whales and seal lions, too.
Justin, I am hopeful I can head to Oregon (been to Portland), but I want to see the Space Needle, Rosalyn WA (for the location where Twin Peaks was filmed, not sure if the R&R is still there, but that doesn't matter, just having the Twin Peaks sign still up is enough for a Peakie like me) and the Star Trek museum in Portland. This looks like a fascinating roadside attraction, I love dinosaurs !
Funny you mentioned John Muir. My dad actually taught his son, and he said that his son was sort of an arrogant jerk. (ROTFL) Dad's dead and gone now but that always stuck with me. He also knew Lord Alfred Kinsey's son as well. Dad had lots of connections growing up as a kid because Grandpa Artie was the mayor of Bloomington, IN.
This is Awesome Justin! Did you go to Wildlife Safari or save that for another trip? Cause if you didn't, it would be a great attraction for another journey North :) Awesome video as always, and thanks for featuring my home state!
Nothing like the great outdoors . I Love being out side more of an adventure . I love the leaf eaters long necks ect. Everyone told me never to watch Jurassic world fallen kingdom I saw the clip . The animal lover I am . I can’t believe how much I cried 😭 anyone else loves animals I am sorry the movie may have messed you up big time now . I should of listed . There’s a place here down in Mesa things carved out of steel . Not bad prices .
Thx Justin! Best birthday present EVER! My Jen on #Jimmykimmellive 05/30/2019! #friendstvShow S.2S.10 LAST EP's Mr and Mrs Weinberg since 1995! Welcome fellow #TIME100 honoree's--#KurtsDay 4/23-5/94 '2' present! #NASAOrion S.442 1K+year HISTORY!
Why did a sting operation being run by Dick Connor's murder off the owner of Oaks Amusement Park in the early 1980's and why is Dick Connor's and his hand picked sting op maintenance team sabotaging the rides at that amusement park and why did Dick Connor's live on site within Oaks Amusement Park? Why are the sting op's that run that park pretend Mr Bollinger the owner of the park was still around throughout the entire 1980's and the first half of the 1990's when he has been missing since the early 1980's? Why was the sting that was running the park impersonating Mr Bollinger to give the normal employees in the park the impression he was still around when he was not? How did the city of Portland take official control of the park in 1985 and why did Funtastic Shows which was based at Oaks Park bail out of that park in a hurry in 1984 before the city took control of the park? Why did Dick Connor's and his sting op maintenance team sabotage all of Kiddyland via electrocution in 1983 and why did Dick Connor's get rid of all the experienced people in the park in 1984 and sabotaged almost every ride on the midway? Why are Oregon state inspectors ignoring the sabotage of the rides and ignoring the fact Dick Connor's keeps installing sting op's in all the key positions within that park? Why is it after Dick Connor's and his temporary maintenance team sabotage almost every ride in the park he laid off those temp maintenance people and then hired a all new maintenance team and on their first day on the job in 1984 they were being framed and set up to be the fall guys because the rides were already sabotaged? Why is it the sting Dick Connor's installs in the park impersonate the owner of the park and impersonate4 a new maintenance team of which the sting was setting up to be the fall guys? Why is it when sting op's sabotage amusement rides their not viewed by our government as mass child murderers? Why is it when 911 is called in regards to the sabotage in that park that police don't even bother to show up let alone investigate anything? Why is Funtastic Shows which was based in Oaks Park in 1983 and 1984 not blowing the whistle on all the sabotage taking place in that park? Why is it local government tries to hide the fact from the public that they took control of the park in 1985 and reorganized it as a non-profit organization and why is it it was still under the control of grinning smirking sting op's, one of whom still lived within the park?

This video came out a day ago and I’m still the first comment
So many views, so little comments
16 thousand views, 2 comments... seems legit.
Or the comments just aren’t loading and I’m not first

I was disappointed in the prehistoric gardens! I guess cuz I am use to Disney or universal dinosaurs!
