Thank god I came across this channel we are a couple without kids, would be a boring cruise for us, so you would recommend Royal Caribbean? Trying to go from NYC to the Caribbean for like 6/7 days
@@LaszloBagi Oh wow, so sorry to hear that. That’s so scary. Thankfully it didn’t happen when you were abroad. I’m sure you’re going to be just fine and ready for that vacation in no time.
Yeah, if you don't drink or gamble, I can see why you may be bored. If you enjoy both or either of those things, Celebrity cannot be beat - their Edge class ships are the greatest. But not if what you want is an amusement park/shopping mall at sea with 6k passengers. And their specialty dining blows most other cruise lines out of the water.
Sorry, the Edge class aren't the greatest. Quantum is way better. It isn't as upscale and the quality of crew and food may not be as good. But it offers the same thing ane more as a cruise ship than Edge. Edge ships don't have enough varied public areas inside to be the greatest. They need a piano bar, pub, smaller lounges, library and cardroom (look at the makeshift libraries on the Edge ships and how many people play cards in Cafe al Bacio and other areas because there is no cardroom/board game room aboard the ship), access to the front area of the ship inside and on the deck. They could use more regular balconies because a lot of people hate the inifinity balconies.
Hey! Thank you for asking. We really lucked out. So grateful to have never lost power (as we did with Irma) and besides a minor leak in the roof, no major damage. Definitely feeling blessed!
You guys are like us. We love to be busy and running around the ship to find fun things to do. We have a few free rooms on some of the Celebrity ships through a comping website but we have only sailed on Carnival and we love carnival but was going to pick a different cruise line for just my wife and I to go on for a short 4 day getaway. Celebrity is not it, lol. Royal is the next one or Princess. Ultimately im sure it will be Royal.
When we're looking to have a fun-filled cruise, Royal is definitely it! We love the Oasis class. Check out our Royal Caribbean cruise on Wonder of The Seas studio.th-cam.com/users/videoZuJKeINxyqo/edit It's more of the cruising experience we prefer. Ice skating, rock climbing, zip lining, laser tag etc. I think you guys would have a blast.
Hey, I know! I was so focused on preparing for worst case scenario that all plans of recording went right out the window. I’m not sure how people do it, the last thing I think about during stressful times is picking up a camera. I really need to learn to tap into my inner-opportunist Lol. Btw, did you get the puppy yet?
omg, so much of this Celebrity is for older people stuff that I'm just laughing. I'm sorry. I cruised HAL and Celebrity by choice, as did some other people my age, 37. So, no, Celebrity isn't for old people as if all old people are some type of monolith that can't get out and act wild just like anyone else. Celebrity is for a certain taste, no necessarily age. Part of it is food but part of it was for ambiance and pampering and so forth. Part of it was presentation and romance (many present day cruisers have forgotten about the romance of cruising it seems). What has happened is Celebrity is trying to transition and has made big changes in their product. One of these is the Edge class ships. Gone are the libraries and card rooms, gone is the fixed dining where you got to have a rapport with your waiter and tablemates. Gone is romantic dancing in a choice of lounges because Celebrity doesn't do many inside lounges anymore. They basically took some aspects of the Quantum ship, like the 4 main restaurants, the Two70 area (made a garden theme and called Eden but not as good for watching shows and not as high tech), the Music Hall (they call the Club but not as large or set up for good socializing and dancing, and sunk the Martini Bar into the lobby. BUt there is no Bolero or Schooners or pub and the ship could benefit from spaces like that. There's the Sunset Bar, great space and there's usually plenty of the usual silent discos, line dancing, and such. There's the white party and plenty loud deck stuff to do. I didn't see silent discos or trivia in your videos. I didn't see Celebrity officers playing passengers in the pool. So, I don't know why you didn't find at least this. I saw a lot of food reviews. I'm not sure you optimized what Celebrity had to offer. I'm not even sure you chose the right Celebrity ship. Maybe the more intimate Solstice ship is better, but it's boring too. It just has more public spaces to choose from, a warmer and friendlier ambiance, and a library (and card room). And it has grass on the deck. You could play golf. Maybe a 3 or 4 night cruise on the Reflection may have been better suited for you. I think Celebrity could work at some more interesting forms of entertainment. The stuff in Eden and the Club is a smaller stage show brought to those venues. Celebrity could work at cabaret stuff, more comedy, more interactive stuff. They should make a bigger version of Crafts Social and put a stomping Irish band in it for singalongs. They were too hung up on putting a ton of specialty restaurants on this class of ships IMO and on the Retreat area. But still, they do more than you seem to find. Maybe try Virgin. Maybe Sun Princess. But you may find it a lot like Celebrity.
I would never ever go on a cruise. I just don’t understand it. It’s for old people if anything why not just go to Europe like the rest of us. I just spent the last summer in Portugal, France, Italy, Poland, and a stop in Lviv. Highlight of the trip being our stop at Auschwitz concentration camp. You’re not gonna see that kind of stuff on a cruise ship. What are the benefits of going on a cruise ship other than drinking and walking around endlessly

If you guys like activities, rock climbing, flow rider, laser tag, water slides, etc. Royal Caribbean’s mega ships would definitely be a good option.
2:58 what did that old man say to him?
I'm digging the pool deck, nice to see one that is not jammed packed
That was definitely a positive, none of the areas were ever busy. Btw how was your trip abroad? How were the croissants? Lol
@@Hangin-with-Mindy Long story short it was postponed. I had Afib the week before and it was best not to go until things get worked out : (

The only type of theatre I’d want to go to is a movie theater. Do they ever have those on cruise ships?
Not a dedicated one, some cruise lines play movies during the day inside their theaters and outside by the pool deck
Old ones had them. Ships like the Radiance of the Seas, I consider middle age but most people consider old because it is from 2001, has one.
Stay Safe from Milton!
Thank you! 😉
Did you make it thru unscathed?

@@Hangin-with-Mindy Excellent! Get your husband up on the roof to fix the roof pronto
As accident prone as he is, no way! I'd rather have a leaky roof than have him sipping fluids through a straw for the next couple of weeks. Lol

why are you commenting under this video then? Cruising is not for you so you do you and let people enjoy their choice of vacation.
