Idolatry of blackness is the PERFECT way to put that! As a white woman it has NEVER made sense to me why black people make their skin color such a huge part of their identity. I rarely think about the fact that I’m white. It’s never gotten me anywhere in life or affected much of anything until I got married. As a kid I never noticed or cared either. My husband is black and while he jokes sometimes he doesn’t really care or think it’s affected anything in his life because he’s a hard worker and gets along with everyone. He’s been called a lot of nasty names for marrying me and having children with me though. Saying he’s tainting his great genes (his dad is an African immigrant so my husband is dark too) and wasting babies and resources on a white woman. That he hates himself and his mom or I’m using him for mixed kids (I’ve been called a bunch of nasty stuff too but it bothers me more when he and our daughter are called things). It just confuses me. I thought this love and our ability to marry and have children was part of the equality people were fighting for? This whole love is love thing only seems to apply to gender, not race. I’m just so blessed that my husband has never bought into any of the mess and is strong minded. A good man is a good man, skin color be damned. I love him so much and I can’t imagine not having him and our amazing little ones 🥹

She got married to my great-grandfather, a Polish man. My mother is 25% German and my sister and I are 12,5% German. We have never identified as German women, even if we have German blood running in our veins. We are Polish women, born in Poland, raised in Poland, taught Polish culture, and living as Polish women all our lives. If my sister start saying she is German because of our great-grandmother I would call her crazy without a doubt, but that's just my opinion.

I look Native American and was told my whole life that I was. I took a DNA test and turns out I'm only 10% native. I have more Scottish in me then native. I'm 56% Polish. What's weird is that even though I'm 90% white my skin is dark, my hair is black and I have brown eyes. My mother looks full blood native but she's only 20%. My mom was told she was native also because she's dark, and my sister is dark too. Not me, I look like dad. But my family is half British. We have about 25% Scottish. Small amounts of norway, ireland, denmark, and about 13% germanic. Well, Germany gets darker the closer you get to the iberian peninsula. When my sister joined the marines no one believed she was all white because of her complexion. We do all have green eyes and curly hair. And your ancestral dna is not inherited equally among siblings. I got more scottish and she got more german. No native. We are as English of more than a native of the UK.
My grandfather was like this. Sometimes certain genes are just very strong. He never did a dna test, but I know that he wasn't that much native, but his features leaned more that way, and his skin color. I don't just mean he could tan (cuz a lot of white people can tan well or are naturally tan/olive). He had that tan skin with the copper undertone that is pretty much seen in only native Americans. My dad (his son) while having stereotypical European features, tans with the same shade and undertone.

If she actually was black why didn’t she just identify as black (or biracial) to start instead of playing up one side vs the other, when it was convenient. I am black and my daughter’s father’s family is from the Dominican Republic & El Salvador. Her father was not in her life she was raised in a black household with black family by me and my family. We checked all the boxes as black growing up (not Latino or Spanish … she didn’t know anything about the culture and neither did I)… but it would be weird now for my daughter to run for office on being the first Spanish anything when she wasn’t raised in Spanish/latin culture (doesn’t know the language, food etc)…and she was raised in a black household (and not identifying as Spanish her whole life) It would be fine for my daughter to identify as biracial and say she was raised by her black mom but has a spanish father that she doesn’t associate with. So why didn’t Kamala do that?.. .. why didn’t she say she is biracial raised in Indian culture but her father is black??….instead of running and allowing all these people to say she was the first Indian American … she agreed with them/ and never corrected them….. It’s disingenuous now that she is trying to be the first Black whatever... I mean it’s possible the father is half black but now it all looks murky and questionable because she is using it to try to win people over and using it to pull the victim card when it suits her. Kamala’s family arrived here sometime in the 20th century… long after slavery was over. Idolatry of blackness is the PERFECT way to put that! As a white woman it has NEVER made sense to me why black people make their skin color such a huge part of their identity. I rarely think about the fact that I’m white. It’s never gotten me anywhere in life or affected much of anything until I got married. As a kid I never noticed or cared either. My husband is black and while he jokes sometimes he doesn’t really care or think it’s affected anything in his life because he’s a hard worker and gets along with everyone. He’s been called a lot of nasty names for marrying me and having children with me though. Saying he’s tainting his great genes (his dad is an African immigrant so my husband is dark too) and wasting babies and resources on a white woman. That he hates himself and his mom or I’m using him for mixed kids (I’ve been called a bunch of nasty stuff too but it bothers me more when he and our daughter are called things). It just confuses me. I thought this love and our ability to marry and have children was part of the equality people were fighting for? This whole love is love thing only seems to apply to gender, not race. I’m just so blessed that my husband has never bought into any of the mess and is strong minded. A good man is a good man, skin color be damned. I love him so much and I can’t imagine not having him and our amazing little ones 🥹

Supposedly, her cousin from Jamaica did a video about her saying he remembered her in Jamaica as a child. The cousin looks exactly like Kamala. There are so many coolie Jamaicans and most of them say they are NOT black. My ex's grandmother was one of them. She even said she was a descendant of indigenous Arawak people. And she didn't want to be confused with the people from India that came to alot of West Indian islands for labor. Alot of them landed in Jamaica, Guyana, and Trinidad.

When it comes to the music. I remember growing up in that era. Before it was New Jack Swing, Freestyle party music mainly party and positive music. I look Native American and was told my whole life that I was. I took a DNA test and turns out I'm only 10% native. I have more Scottish in me then native. I'm 56% Polish. What's weird is that even though I'm 90% white my skin is dark, my hair is black and I have brown eyes. My mother looks full blood native but she's only 20%. I'm the darkest white boy you will ever meet 😂😂😂

The DNA sites are very inaccurate from what I understand. My DNA changes all the time, according to ancestry.
My mom was told she was native also because she's dark, and my sister is dark too. Not me, I look like dad. But my family is half British. We have about 25% Scottish. Small amounts of norway, ireland, denmark, and about 13% germanic. Well, Germany gets darker the closer you get to the iberian peninsula. When my sister joined the marines no one believed she was all white because of her complexion. We do all have green eyes and curly hair. And your ancestral dna is not inherited equally among siblings. I got more scottish and she got more german. No native. We are as English of more than a native of the UK.
My grandfather was like this. Sometimes certain genes are just very strong. He never did a dna test, but I know that he wasn't that much native, but his features leaned more that way, and his skin color. I don't just mean he could tan (cuz a lot of white people can tan well or are naturally tan/olive). He had that tan skin with the copper undertone that is pretty much seen in only native Americans. My dad (his son) while having stereotypical European features, tans with the same shade and undertone.

If she actually was black why didn’t she just identify as black (or biracial) to start instead of playing up one side vs the other, when it was convenient. I am black and my daughter’s father’s family is from the Dominican Republic & El Salvador. Her father was not in her life she was raised in a black household with black family by me and my family. We checked all the boxes as black growing up (not Latino or Spanish … she didn’t know anything about the culture and neither did I)… but it would be weird now for my daughter to run for office on being the first Spanish anything when she wasn’t raised in Spanish/latin culture (doesn’t know the language, food etc)…and she was raised in a black household (and not identifying as Spanish her whole life) It would be fine for my daughter to identify as biracial and say she was raised by her black mom but has a spanish father that she doesn’t associate with. So why didn’t Kamala do that?.. .. why didn’t she say she is biracial raised in Indian culture but her father is black??….instead of running and allowing all these people to say she was the first Indian American … she agreed with them/ and never corrected them….. It’s disingenuous now that she is trying to be the first Black whatever... I mean it’s possible the father is half black but now it all looks murky and questionable because she is using it to try to win people over and using it to pull the victim card when it suits her. All black Americans most likely have a little European in our dna but that doesn’t mean we can begin to feel white, at any given time, and just start identifying as white when it suits us🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😅 Kamala could very well be partly black… just like I, as a black person, have 35% European in my ancestry dna (which doesn’t make me white)…. However at this point it doesn’t really matter if she is part black because she only wants to present as black NOW to win votes, so it’s disingenuous. Most African Americans/Blacks can reference ancestors that came from Africa to America as slaves .. my grandmother (5 greats back) came from Togo and was a slave and her daughter (4th great back) was emancipated 70 years before the emancipation proclamation. Kamala’s family arrived here sometime in the 20th century… long after slavery was over. People that identify as black have a good portion of their ancestor’s country of origin as America and they don’t have any immediate family that they know by name that they can trace back to any other country.🤷🏾♀️
