Little Nightmares is so depressing. Every protagonist it has ever given us has met a horrible fate. Mono gets betrayed and trapped in an endless loop, Six is stripped of her innocence and becomes a monster, Runaway Kid is eaten alive after being turned into a Nomb, and Raincoat Girl breaks all her bones and then drowns. The series has made me cry several times and I love it. It is truly a masterpiece (gameplay is good but the depth perception could be better).

9:08 I totally agree, the game gets a lot less scary the more times you have to play through a chase. I think this is a fault of how close and stressful the devs wanted the chases to be. There are so many times in the game where the monster will miss grabbing you by literal centimeters, but they only miss if you do exactly what the game expects of you with no slip-ups. But when you are playing through a game for the first time there are bound to be slip-ups. It's definitely a tradeoff, whether a chase scene should be so close it makes to tense up, or if it should have a little bit of leeway to make the immersion not break when you have to play through the chase for the 3rd time.

And I guess the tradeoff is worth it, if I had to make a choice, chases in videogames have been around forever but nothing feel quite like this

Im obsessed with this game I love this game it’s the best I don’t mind the depth at all I love the story and I really hope they continue it.
