I just started playing recently, but have played ball golf for 30 years and this still applies. have played with some people only ONCE, because they were so slow or had no regard for other people on the course at all. Did not care one bit how long they were holding people up. Disc golf needs to maintain the same etiquette as real golf to attain credibility.
Dude that's honestly kind of why I ditched ball golf and started to play more disc golf to be honest. I understand the frustration for Simon and in general for us disc golfers when slow play or someone who talks too much (Big Jerm) is playing with you. My Dad and I used to go play golf quite a bit. My Dad was a college football player and is very athletic but it definitely does NOT translate to him being a good ball golfer. ---------- I used to book us tee times at pretty damn nice golf courses and my Dad would legit top his first tee shot and proceed to take 2 more shots off the tee while people were waiting. He never intended to be a dick when doing it and I honestly have no idea to this day how his self-awareness was that awful lol. By the way, he's 6'5" 275 so no one honestly ever said a word and I 100% mean that. Ever. Haha. ANYWAYS, I was pretty decent and had a pretty good understanding of "golf etiquette" so it was incredibly embarrassing playing with someone who just doesn't quite know the flow of things. Disc golf on the other hand is a sport in which the disc golf community seems to be more forgiving in that regard and there is certainly less condescending, stuck up pricks which is why I gravitated to the sport. I love that hole 16 breakdown was happening with a drone flight down hole 15 😂 I was so confused when he said “forehand is the play” i was like who throws a forehand on 15 lol. Then Simon rips it down 16 and it all made sense 🤘

This is probably one of my favorite practice rounds...so many funny things--Jerm telling his story about getting beaned after somebody just let him play through, then going off on the ramble about the best tabletop tennis/disc golfer, and Uli in the background asking Did I just nutmeg a guy? too funny man
One of my first direct interactions with Jerm was when, during a lightning delay at Idlewild on hole 18, he sees my Nike Trail shoes (not the Pegasus Trail 3) but they're in a similar color to his and he inspects them from ~30 feet and then disappointedly says "ah not the Pegasus". I have a few pairs of those though, and yes, as Jerm says, they're great.

H.R."Fling" Hyzer, the front to back pitch angle (of attack) was called 'Mung' angle. I had that book by Johnston. I don't know how Mung came about, but they were once Guts terms.

I'm quite surprised to see so many salty comments here. I love and fully support what Jerm and Uli do for Disc Golf. Their commentary and these Practice Rounds are very unique - I don't know any sport which has anything remotely as funny and light. And let's not forget that Nate can be goofy as hell: My very first coverage I saw was 2019th Emporia where he and Jerm misnamed all the trees on the property. The next round they apologized jokingly, claiming that people had scolded them for their 'mistakes'. That's what got me into Jomez and playing Disc Golf regularly - the humor and kindness of the community. And Jomez amazes me constantly, trying out new things again and again, even when it's quite outside the box. Miked-up players hardly happens anymore, but it was cool to try it! Practice Rounds though worked out incredibly well and is its own brand now - 90% banter and a few cool insights in how to attack certain holes. And while Jerm and Uli have rapport some of the dismissive comments here are just plain mean.
Jomez, gotta say, I love this channel so much. Your videos have been great therapy this year. Everything about them is so good - the production quality, the banter/camaraderie of BigSexyBarri, the music. You guys are the best.
The hug at the end reminded me of grease where they get excited and hug each other then quickly push off and realize they weren't being "manly"'; Jerm does the same and sneaks in a "go take a shower you stink" diss LOL If that isn't the epitome of their friendships idk what is.

I came from Table Tennis as my main sport for years to Disc Golf and I never thought I'd hear both things mentioned in the same place!
Trees were punched, tilts were thrown, barks were heard, songs were sang & Uli’s mom was mentioned.
