    The Con sounds great. The Adams has a warmer sound.

      Trent, don't believe that Germany is travelling on a better path either. Almost no playing for wind ensembles in the last 6 months and there will come maybe even more...
      But anyway, your work, kind of person and inspiration would encounter open doors here, I'm sure!

    Agree about the sterling silver. I have a Kanstul made French Besson Meha and had a new sterling silver leadpipe put on. Sounds great. Can I ask You Trent? What’s your preferred bore size when playing commercial gigs?

    • @austincustom
      @austincustom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bore size is overrated!
      so many more factors involved than just bore size.

    • @davidboa2768
      @davidboa2768 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trent Austin what do you think are the more important factors other than bore size?

    • @austincustom
      @austincustom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that is worth a mini-lesson topic in itself. Mouthpipe venturi, gap setting, bell taper, weight, materials, weight distribution, bracing, bell rim, bell bead material, valve construction, porting... all plays into this. Not just simply bore size.

    Sounds like you answered my question. My 7th grader year 2 trumpet with budget facebooksale horn(currently zip tied together), Would you recommend bargain price option or is it worth the jump to $800.

    Dont you think that you may be biased regarding your Adams s preference??? So many great horns , it's tough to choose. Chris Botti plays on a old Committee from 1937. Perhaps it might be phycological. 🤷🏾‍♂️🎺

      While I love vintage horns and own many my Adams far outplay my vintage instruments. Perhaps the sound on those great vintage horns might surpass (I have many incredible horns in my collection pre WWII) but when I need something absolutely 100% reliable I go to my Adams.
