I had done it I used to get the villagers from the south then use cheats and get monks to bleda to convert him but it only worked in AOE2 Kings not in conquerors XD way to go brother!
lol I remember tinkering with Bleda's A.I. as a kid. Apparently, Bleda only unallies you, when yellow and purple units come in contact. It happens when you just wait in the camp, or you take too long to leave the camp. A better strategy, would be to just ignore the tarkans, cross the bridge, and use the vils to build a palisade, blocking Bleda's path across the bridge. In the Gold Edition Disk Set, I changed purple to Neutral, and converted Bleda with a monk. There's also an exploit, where you can aggro the Iron Boar, Bleda will aggro the boar onto himself, and once he is at half health, you can then abandon Bleda and run across the river. Bleda will not survive his battle, purple will not become your enemy, but also not flip over to your colour. If you kill Bleda, watch Bleda get killed, or help Bleda kill the boar, the Archer event will trigger, and then the battle for control of Huns, will ensue. But if you follow the previous strategy correctly, you will see an allied purple have a group of archers among his army of tarkans. Those are the archers that spawn after Bleda dies, but since Attila wasn't there, they are forever fated to wander this cursed world searching for the killer.
You can get all of the Tarkans and the archers if you get Bleda to attack the boar, then run across the river to get the villagers. The boar will chase and kill Bleda, then you can build a Town Center across the river with the villagers before returning Attila to the Hun camp. At that point all of Bleda's units and buildings convert to your control too.
Lol this is a cool bug and also shows some new voice lines I have not heard before. I always wondered about the random stable and huts over the bridge when you do the mission normally. I don't remember how I did it and I can't replicate it but I think it's similar to how you got Bleda to convert and I just got lucky since the archers were too close. I've tried finding alternate wins in other missions. In the first El Cid mission, you can leave the tournament grounds on horseback and King Sancho will say you are no longer the Cid and enemy you. I had hoped to get the gaia monks in the west and convert villagers to build your own base, but the monks disappear if you leave before the tournament is over.
I don't know about Definitive Edition, but in Conquerors/HD, if you want the archers, lure the boar by getting closer to it, then run back to the Tarkans and then to the other side of the river so that you get those villagers and the stable . Bleda will die at some point and when you return to the Tarkans, you get all of them, along with the archers that just got out of the forest. Yeah, I was disappointed when those monks disappeared too 11. Once I was able to glitch the game and skip the trigger that causes King Sancho to become an enemy, but I haven't been able to reproduce that bug consistently.
There's also an interesting case with the Honfoglalas scenario in The Forgotten with the Pechenegs. If you manage to defeat the Pechenegs in Feudal Age, you get stuck in the limbo, as they are supposed to destroy your base so that you evacuate to the new location in Etelkoz. I tried it too in DE. Bleda indeed does try to remain close to his Town Center and doesn't want to chase across the river. However, after killing all of the other Tarkans and having Attila get a few hits on Bleda, I was able to get him to follow all the way across the river. But it's definitely not as simple anymore.
what happens it that not killling bleda prevents the other ai from acting properly. they will not attack you prevents other triggers. it wasnt that u were not advancing. untill u delete bleda the ai will go back to normal. u could also convert bleda with a monk.
I remember being able to do a bug as a kid that made the archers sent by Bleda after you betray him during the hunt also be part of your team. Don't remember how though.
You go and start the hunt but then immediately run away. You can also go across the river and build a TC but then when Bleda dies to the Boar you get his TC so you get all the units + 2 TC's.
@@a-drewg1716 but the strategy I used didn't involve running away, you would switch Bleda to enemy in diplomacy mid hunt and kill him, but somehow afterwards I got the archers to side with me
So is it possible to get the whole base with bleda alive and simply use monks to get bleda as he isn't a hero, but with no redemption for the huns, I can't use monks on buildings and would like to get their base. It is ok if some tarkans die since I can make them once I build a castle.
Now that I think of it... if Bleda was your last property, what screen would his death trigger faster, the victory or the defeat one? I'd say the defeat one, but they are actually both pretty fast, so there's room for speculation

It depends on which version of the game you're using. On the HD Edition, I think the map is revealed when you win (it also used to be revealed when you're defeated, not sure if that's still the case, but it was a bit of a spoiler sometimes).
There are lots of horses scattered in the initial Hun base, above the river to the north, and throughout the land to the southwest. You can try the "marco" and "polo" cheats to reveal the map if you're having trouble finding them.

I'd have to check the trigger, but I'm not sure how you would lure other units there at that point in the first place 11.
@@T-West good point
its crazy casue my name is bleda and people pronounce it "blade-da' in Usa and the wau t-west says it in Turkey
It is no wonder because Turkish is a phonetic language.
This was really cool, you wouldnt happen to know of anything else like this would you?
I'm looking for other things like this, maybe I'll find some.
@@T-West converting Genghis Khan on his first and unique appearance. Convertig Kushluk, sir John Falstolf, etc. There are quite a few ones that are possible in the og client. HD version disabled this...
@@francocavecchia8246 Yeah, I remember converting all of the Hero units in AoK! I think it was AoC that made the change so heroes can't be converted (maybe it was in a patch to AoK too at some point, not sure about that).
@@francocavecchia8246 I used to convert heros and units normally I can't make and put them in a castle...
You can also get a special unit called Hun Commander.
More info?
@@akramfarhi4133 The Hun Commander is just a Tarkan with better stats. He's the one who runs a few steps after you when you start the boar hunt. I'm pretty sure he always joins Attila, regardless of which option you choose.
this was pretty cool
I did not knew that, and immediately tried that in the DE, but unfortunately Bleda is on "Hold the ground" mode, so that you cant bait him to the stalls. But hey at least i know now i could do that in the OG game.
Me: watches vid
Also me: I already know a way
So bleda kill the whole empire and kill himself at the end or what?
You can also run and convert him with a monk later
That was an eye opener ..
Loving it! :D
Wtf this is my fav campaign mission and never knew this but still best thing is to let the boar kill him
theres also a simple way to get him if I reamber right he can be converted
Yeah, he isn't a hero unit, so he can be converted.
what happens it that not killling bleda prevents the other ai from acting properly. they will not attack you prevents other triggers. it wasnt that u were not advancing. untill u delete bleda the ai will go back to normal. u could also convert bleda with a monk.
Never in my life did I know about this jeez
I remember finding this by accident as an 8 year old kid, and never figuring out how I did it!
2 TCs early on?
Very nice men! Now, can you repit this in the new DE campaign?
I'll check when the full game comes out later this week!
Does this still work on Definitive Edition? I haven't actually played it yet.
I subbed though. I respect the content grind.
It's a bit harder to get Bleda to follow you across the river, but it still works.
@@T-West Huh, cool beans!
Nice
I never noticed before that Bleda had no range...
Amazing
Now that I think of it... if Bleda was your last property, what screen would his death trigger faster, the victory or the defeat one? I'd say the defeat one, but they are actually both pretty fast, so there's room for speculation
The player would be defeated before that, since they would need to kill Attila for Bleda to be the last one alive. ;)
@@T-West oh gosh, you are right...
UNLESS Attila, as the second-to-last unit, died just a moment before Bleda, as usually defeat conditions attached to dying units trigger spoken messages that dramatically lament your failure, kindly giving the player a few second to digest the news; the only thing that could ruin this is if Attila had no such trigger (never lost that scenario, don't remember ^^;) or if it somehow cancelled Bleda's.
Did I do my homeworks well? :P
@@shinkiro403 Sounds reasonable. I think the player would be defeated from having no units, but I would have to double check the triggers associated with Bleda to be sure. :)
@@T-West thank you for the consideration bud, love this content and the passion you put in it. Good luck on your Mongol pacifist run! (^^)/
Nice discovery
I think this unintentional xD
Does this work in DE aswell? ^^
It used to but they changed it.
@@T-West :(
Wow I didn't know this awsome fact
I tried and it works
Coool
Will this work in definitive edition as well
I dont have it to test it my self so I asked
I tried in DE when it was first released. It's more difficult to get Bleda to follow you, but it still worked. Not sure if it's been updated since.
@@T-West ohh thank you for the info
Genius!
Wait, shouldn't the map reveal itself when you win ?
leow193 rise of nations not age of empire
@@hollow44444 Nope, just ended a game, the map revealed itself at the end
It depends on which version of the game you're using. On the HD Edition, I think the map is revealed when you win (it also used to be revealed when you're defeated, not sure if that's still the case, but it was a bit of a spoiler sometimes).
I can’t find 3 horses! Where are they all located please?
There are lots of horses scattered in the initial Hun base, above the river to the north, and throughout the land to the southwest. You can try the "marco" and "polo" cheats to reveal the map if you're having trouble finding them.
Build TC, delete Belda, return to town, 2 TC’s in dark age also you get extra resources
delet this 11
Did you put bleda in a battering ram? 😂
@@wafflesaurus_supreme he is classified as infantry though
So havent Been playing AOE im decades but im really curious... So if you destroy that buildings on Bleda team they resign and you win too ? Have anyone really tested That?
If you destroy all of the building, then they'll be defeated, so you should win by being the only remaining player.
The Illuminati want to know your location

@@T-West 😂😂
Will another player's unit get converted if it passes through that region?
Probably just units from Bleda's player.
@@T-West Thanks .but I am not too sure how you will lead units of other players there in the first place unless it's a scout.
-Really cool
If you destroy bleda army
(Make a big army siege think etc) destroy ecitas
You win whit Bleda
:D
Can you do this in def edition ?
You could when it first was released, but it's since been changed. You might still be able to make Monks to convert Bleda though.
@@T-West but bleda is hero unit heros cant be converted
@@kaponeboss8914 Bleda wasn't actually a hero unit.
@@T-West so works like for saladin 3 original when you could convert reynald the pirate
@@kaponeboss8914 Well that's a bit different, since in AoK you could covert heroes. Bleda simply isn't a hero, he's just a normal unit.
I know how to get archers and bleda get lives
Does this work in DE?
It's a bit more difficult to get Bleda to follow across the river, but the trigger still converts him.

Zan zan zan
My brother's name is Attila and he's been trying to usurp me since he was born 😄
Was this on Standard difficulty?
Hard difficulty (unless I somehow forgot to change the settings before the game), I don't know if Standard or Moderate have different triggers set up.
The Roman castle is removed on Standard difficulty.

You know now there is a hd edition
And also a definitive edition coming out.
