4X-AXG, the aircraft involved in the Biljmer Disaster. 4 October 1992 leaving 43 dead and a section of the Biljmer apartments destroyed due to fatigue cracks in the No.3 engine fuse pins.
The El Al 747 looks somewhat pristine. Hard to believe that deep within its engine pylon lies a defect that would end up killing people both in the plane & on the ground just one month & 12 days after this video was shot.

But I'm asking Hans van Will and you..did either of you every spot/shoot the CP Air 747s that came to AMS? It seems that no one has every shot the great Orange 747s in Europe (none of the Canadian shooters ever got them,,which is a sad state of affairs given that they were all right there in their own home airports!) Please ty154 and Hans, let me know of your thoughts on this concern.
@@Starboard76 hi, my dad shot all the vids on my channel between 1990-1997 or so with the analog video cam, and I later did some videos with a digital camera (Tupolevs etc) I am afraid i am "too young" to have ever seen the CP Air 747s at Schiphol, it would have been very cool!
For the Northwest DC-10 in 16:32... do you have the full version of the video until the plane lift-off..??? if yes, can you please upload it 😊🙏🙏 I really love Northwest DC-10 in that old livery, perhaps my favorite and the best DC-10 livery for me 😃😃

@@bramlaurens7412 Dat is een testregistratie, en een testvlucht. Zo lang het vliegtuig niet geleverd is aan American, is het eigendom van Fokker, en heeft het dus een Nederlandse registratie. Bij Airbus zie je hetzelfde: die toestellen hebben allemaal Franse of Duitse registraties tot op het moment dat ze geleverd worden.

Test flight. The Fokker assembly line was at Schiphol, so flight testing was done from there. You can see it still has a Dutch registration (PH-EZA), meaning it was not yet delivered to AA and still owned by Fokker.
Woonde in Haarlem en ging vaak met m'n vader kijken (Oude Schipholweg) Vergeleken met nu: wat een variatie aan toestellen. Prachtige beelden!

The Malaysian 747 in this video is the oldest active 747-400 today. It still flies as N740CK

Dat is het vliegtuig die 4 oktober 1992, 1 jaar later dus, neerstortte en explodeerde in een flat in het bijlmermeer net nabij Schiphol.
So many fine memories.... I had a job there for 43 years... and still can not get the bug out of me.

Abood Mki bijlmer accident. The plane crashed in to the ground (buildings)
it happened on 4th of october 1992, not 1991.
