Hello from Mongolia, I may be your only viewer from Mongolia and was delighted to stumble upon your channel this morning. (We are 12 hours ahead of the US). I have been watching your episodes in reverse order which is fun. Currently I am teaching English here at an International School and knit every morning before I head off to school as I consider it "me time" and then once again in the evening "to just chill." These past few months I been on a sock knitting kick as I give the socks to herders whenever I visit. Wool is readily available here but quite expensive and herders are always in need of good warm socks. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for knitting with others. Working on a Simple Stripes in the perfect palette which I already had in stash... but couldn't resist and ordered the pastel palette too! Additionally...I had already done a kinda all pink and purple "Simple Stripes" as a Valentine-y sweater and I've done a sparkly DK version as well. I've gone stripes crazy!

I just started Retin A in June and so far my only problem with it is that my skin feels desert dry so lathering moisturizer is the only way I can tolerate it. It seems it takes times to see the effects so will see if it smoothes out my fine lines. Love the daily sweater so that is on my to do list (which is too long). It is as you put it " so wearable." Spain - how wonderful! I have fond memories of my travels there. You will love it I am sure. And yes, at least we have our knitting. Be well and knit away to serenity.

I’m gullible and have experienced strange e-mails recently and they look so official I responded to one and should not have. It’s a mess! Anyway I appreciate having the darling pattern! Living in EC I think I’ll try using cotton or cotton blend as it never gets cold enough, at least for me, for a heavier or full size blanket. How did you arrange your color stripes? The body of the Butterfly Blanket is 7 bands, each band consisting of Rows 1-28 (original band + 6 repeats). So did you alternate your 2 colors (A+B) by bands: ABABABA? Or did you use some other arrangement? Thanks.

Thank you for another lovely episode and for the family pattern. I'm always drawn to patterns with a history 😺 Slowly working my way out of my own life difficulties, knitting is one of my tools. This blanket pattern will most certainly be part of it. As far as retinoids, may be have a look at the ones from The Ordinary, the only ones my own skin can manage. Of course, not medical grade and most probably less effective. Take care 💛

I was happy to have caught your episode. I've been wanting to try Linen Quill for a while, but hesitated because of the exchange rate for Canada. I looked today and they are having a sale, 25% off!
I use Retin-A .5 I mix it with a pump of my face moisturizer, which buffers it pretty well. Then I wait a half hour and put on another thin layer of moisturizer before I go to bed. It's stopped the eternal flaking which was driving me nuts. Good luck!!!

This will be my first blanket! I'd like to take you up on the offer to provide an adult size of this lovely blanket. I'd love to make it for my adult niece using Purl Soho Buttercup cotton, but I wonder if having to use such a small needle (Purl Soho recommends 2 or 3) would take forever to knit? I am knitting the butterfly blanket for my first great niece or nephew. Is there supposed to be "edging" on only 2 sides? The other side is rolling up and I don't think I like that. Thanks!
Leslie, a couple of days ago my purse and cellphone were stolen out of my grocery cart in the store parking lot. It happened in a flash as I was unloading, so everyone please be careful. Having to get all of your data and apps installed from scratch on a new phone set up is quite different from just migrating the contents from Old Phone to New Phone, which is the process most of us are familiar with. Why am I telling you this? Because fear of not being able to get back my download of the Best Friend Butterfly Blanket pattern was the first thing that flashed through my mind. It's back just fine now, and I'm happily knitting butterflies as I am trying to regain my equilibrium. As the police captain on Hill Street Blues used to say, "Be careful out there."

I think all the projects you have shared are ones I’d love to knit, and wish I were a better knitter to knit sweaters for others. I have difficulty making things the correct size, but I have managed to knit sweaters for myself recently. I’m so impressed that you can knit for others.

Living in EC I think I’ll try using cotton or cotton blend as it never gets cold enough, at least for me, for a heavier or full size blanket. My knitting helps to ground me most days as does taking time to sit and watch/enjoy a podcast. Thank you for sharing The Never Ending Story sweater as I had not heard of it. Have a great couple of weeks.

I took advantage of Joanns sale and bougt four more colors, for four more blankets. I am currently working on. Dingley Dell by Isabel Kramer. It is striped so I will try to remember to use the hashtag. Spain sounds like a dream! How cool for your daughter! (And you!)
How did you arrange your color stripes? The body of the Butterfly Blanket is 7 bands, each band consisting of Rows 1-28 (original band + 6 repeats). So did you alternate your 2 colors (A+B) by bands: ABABABA? Or did you use some other arrangement? Thanks.
@@vivianpowell1732 right now I am the third stripe of grey. I should do another stripe of pink to make it the 7th stripe but I am not going to have enough. I do have a 2nd skein of pink so I might just break into it to finish. It is so cute!

Thank you for another lovely episode and for the family pattern. I'm always drawn to patterns with a history 😺 Slowly working my way out of my own life difficulties, knitting is one of my tools. This blanket pattern will most certainly be part of it. As far as retinoids, may be have a look at the ones from The Ordinary, the only ones my own skin can manage. Of course, not medical grade and most probably less effective. Take care 💛

I use Retin-A .5 I mix it with a pump of my face moisturizer, which buffers it pretty well. Then I wait a half hour and put on another thin layer of moisturizer before I go to bed. It's stopped the eternal flaking which was driving me nuts. Good luck!!!

I use a retinoid at night only since it makes the skin so sensitive! Make sure to wear sunscreen if you do decide to wear it in the morning :))

Annette Martig What colors of Linen Quill did you order for your Daily Pullover Sweater? I have the pattern, but I've not ordered the yarn yet, because I can't decide on a color. I am familiar with Linen Quill, because I have skeins of it for more than one Half Wrap. But a sweater's different, so I'm stuck. Thanks.

This will be my first blanket! I'd like to take you up on the offer to provide an adult size of this lovely blanket. I'd love to make it for my adult niece using Purl Soho Buttercup cotton, but I wonder if having to use such a small needle (Purl Soho recommends 2 or 3) would take forever to knit? She lives in Floria so would Purl Soho's worsted weight be a good alternative in the air conditioning? Thanks so much!!

I am knitting the butterfly blanket for my first great niece or nephew. Is there supposed to be "edging" on only 2 sides? The other side is rolling up and I don't think I like that. Thanks!
Leslie, a couple of days ago my purse and cellphone were stolen out of my grocery cart in the store parking lot. It happened in a flash as I was unloading, so everyone please be careful. Having to get all of your data and apps installed from scratch on a new phone set up is quite different from just migrating the contents from Old Phone to New Phone, which is the process most of us are familiar with.
Why am I telling you this? Because fear of not being able to get back my download of the Best Friend Butterfly Blanket pattern was the first thing that flashed through my mind. It's back just fine now, and I'm happily knitting butterflies as I am trying to regain my equilibrium.

I’ve been using Retin A for 20 years! Eventually your skin will adjust. But I can only use it 3x/week or I start getting scabs!
