I’m going to look for that salted lime lager, sounds really good on a hot day. Beautiful campsite! Thanks for taking us along on the hike, I couldn’t do that one; for sure I would slip on all those loose rocks. Great views up there. And purrs from Finch. But I had to laugh at the way he skedaddles back to the van the minute he hears or sees something he doesn’t like. He’s such a cutie.
It was refreshing! Yes, last section was a bit rocky..but did a trip yesterday that was worse! Still nice views though. Finch tends to scoot when he hears people noises, kids playing etc. We prefer him to stay cautious. He would undoubtedly appreciate the cute comment!
Was a pleasure to meet the both of you! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Liam had a good laugh with your answer Gord. Safe travels this summer! Lucas & Alyce.
We are missing Vancouver Island! Left there two weeks ago, after a 9 days tour in our rented Tellaro. I can live vicariously through you guys so thx for your videos!! My husband and I live watching! We will never take our cat on a trip like this though! She would be gone. So glad finch enjoys traveling with you! We will maybe buy a van after our dear kitty passes. Take good care!!
Beautiful scenery. We were at Cathedral Lakes last week and had the same weather. Nice in the morning, thunder in the afternoon. We also were in Manning for B.C. Parks Day and met a couple from Colorado who were full time nomads. They sold their house and possessions and hit the road full time and were loving it. Nancy
Cathedral Lakes is one of our favorites! Gordon has hiked in several different ways, though we tend to get hauled up most often. Don’t know if we could do a full time nomad thing, but love watching folks who do!
Another great video Gord & Miki. Manning is a great little getaway from the lower mainland. Far enough and mountainous enough that it feels like a vacation. Close enough that it doesn't take too long to get to. And that's year-round.
Always enjoy your travels. So brave Gordon to solo hike but the rewards of those views. So glad some of us can live vicariously thru you both. Was the rain lovely and warm at least? I had the pleasure of seeing a Mama Deer with triplets the other day right on the side of the road across from the Qualicum Beach. Last year there were twins so I was awestruck to see triplets. Nature is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!!
Miki’s back will improve soon enough she will likely be back on similar trails, though she prefers less steep of one possible! As for the rain, it was welcomed…cooled everything so nicely! We always love it when we get to see birds, deer etc as well!
Always enjoy your channel and the beautiful mountains and nature , and when ever you have wild life !! Thank you for sharing this with me!! As always BS & BK & BC !!
Hello Gordon and Miki! We are soon to be van lifers so glad to find others as well! Beautiful campsite! So cool to be recognized! ;-) We just met one of our subscribers and it was great!! The hiking looks amazing! Thanks for sharing!! 💙Terry and Terri
One of our favorite hikes, and nice that is accessible from this campground (or Skyview). We may do a future video of the hikes we often recommend at Manning. Hope van travels going well! 🚐
If you keep posting such fantastic videos showcasing Manning I'm never going to be able to get a campsite there again :D Enjoyed the video from the hike.
Gordon and Miki, it was great to meet you two on the road and at camp (Brad & Carole from Oregon). We had a great time in Mt Robson (although pretty hazy) and Wells Gray (definitely going back).
Great video Gordon and Miki! Those views are spectacular. I’m hoping to go camping at Manning Park this summer but haven’t yet because I’m so busy unfortunately.
My partner and I rounded up a 12 day trip through the Kootenays by stopping at Skyview for 2 nights (Jul 13-15) on our way back to Vancouver and were thinking "what if we bumped into Hike N RV this trip?" Looks like we just missed you (again!). :D
See previous comments to your (very good) advice. And the locater ( with regular trip messaging) and trip plan always in place. Don’t ever advocate for anyone to hike alone (!) but with experience and tools believe risks can be reduced at least for us. Location key too.
We’re heading to Lightning Lake next week. Looking forward to some hiking, biking and relaxing.
Sounds perfect! Wishing you a wonderful trip!

So nice you stopped by to say hello and a pleasure to meet all of you as well! Perhaps our paths may cross on another trip! 🚐
How wonderful to see lightning lake campground open and the sites look great! That hike sure was aggressive, well done and bravo Gordon!
Lighting Lakes the campground of choice to hike from (though Skyview close too) and just nice overall. Frosty certainly one of our favorites!

🙏 Couldn’t have said it better! We are lucky to be so close, but a great spot for anyone to visit.

Glad you enjoyed and congrats! Perhaps our paths may cross one day!
@@hikenrv That would be cool! Be safe out there!
Great views from the top of Frosty Mtn. I've never done that hike. We stayed in #21 and #26 in June. Beautiful campground. Thanks for sharing.

😊…certainly one of our favorite ‘quick get aways”! Mt Frosty is one of our top five there, so glad you enjoyed!

Glad the trip went well…and pleasure to meet you both as well! Wishing you safe travels and perhaps our paths may cross once again down your way! 🚐
Crazy, we were just planning a trip there next weekend to do the Loop trailer with the kids. Thanks for the insights.
Wishing you safe travels and great weather!
Great video Gordon and Miki! Those views are spectacular. I’m hoping to go camping at Manning Park this summer but haven’t yet because I’m so busy unfortunately.
Hoping you can find the time…good to relax sometimes and Manning offers a lot if you like the outdoors! Glad you enjoyed! 🚐
