I am not sure how well versed you are with the BU (Bangtan Universe) that runs through bts mvs, notes, books, blogs and games, but about the story that this song revolves around...... a lot of people have kinda gotten the REAL origin of the story mixed up. Yes, the song is based on the tale 'La Città di Smeraldo'. But the truth is that this was never an ORIGINAL folk tale. It was a story/tale/myth that BIGHIT CREATED for the bangtan universe (and a lot of army kinda forget that important detail). So long story short, without much spoilers. Bighit created the Esmeraldo Blog within the time loop that Jin went through, and within this blog was this story. So it was not that Truth Untold is a songwriter's retelling of an 'existing folktale', rather, Bighit created a story for aiding the plot of Bangtan Universe featuring Jin and the Esmeraldo Blog; and bts made a song out of it. Its kinda all meshed in.
One of my fav "crack videos" that's really popular would be: bts being a mess on vlive. Other than that for getting to know them id recommend watching some of the run episodes cuz i did too when i started stanning so i just watched the funniest ones since there are so many of them.
