Love your cover. Been a Donovan fan since I was 16 years old, oh so many, many decades ago. If I could meet any entertainer in the whole world it would be Donovan. Seen him in many concerts over the years, read and have his two books and just about every album he released. I am such a fan, that I even remrmber what I wore to see him in concert in the Hollywood Bowl when I was a young girl of 16 years old. It was a cute pink soft satin finish min-i dress with puffy sleeves. Oh, how I wish I still had that dress - not to wear but for nostalgic reasons. Ha, it wouldn't fit me now - I didn't even weigh 100 pounds at 16 years old and 5' 1 "inch. I was a wisp of a girl. 😏

Saw Donovan live at Newcastle Australia's Civic theatre in the olden days. All he had was guitar, harp, a little mike stand and a rolled up little mat. He held the joint speechless for 2 hours, unforgettable.
Yeh, he was the inspiration for me to start to learn the guitar. Quirky and with simple poetic lyrics that ‘painted pictures’ for me when I was a younger man, :-)
Our band did this song back in high school. I played the drums. Due to my disability, I no longer play the drums and took up the guitar. Learning this song brought back some fond memories. By the way, my band was The Butterscotch Illusion
