Nice update, mate 👍 It's a feel-good factor for me to hear a man so excited 😂😂 You know you can keep the season going by putting your heater on.🤑Nice one, my friend 👍 🐟
I think once you've used all the crap on the market it's a natural progression, more so if you aren't shy spending on quality koi. I'm not a big spender on koi in the koi world but I bet I've spent 2k on koi this year so 200 on a bag of growth goes hand in hand. Is definitely a progression, I wouldn't have dreamt using SH when I was buying 50.00 so called pond fillers!
That's a fair amount of food mate. Admittedly, my koi are smaller and in a temperate pond, but I'm only just about getting through a 6kg bag of NT Labs probiotic since March/April. Also, there's not really such a thing as zero ammonia. Yellow on the liquid test kits is
I feel bad about pointing this out in the comments, but as usual, their swimming is not being taken into consideration, so you can see their wariness everywhere. Why don't you try to make their wariness disappear completely, like all the hobbyists in Japan seem to be trying to do? If you do that, you'll start to see changes in the colour of the pond water and in their body shape. Compare it to their perfected swimming! During the summer feeding period, if you don't put a net in or disturb them at all, they'll be like that!
@@KoiKicks As with mud ponds used by breeders, they are sterilised before being released, and then left alone until the autumn harvest, when they are fed. I know of a person in Japan who is extremely particular about this, and who says that if you scare them by putting a net in the water even once in the summer, it will be a failure that year. Anyway, it is essential to not disturb to them as much as possible in order to bring out their wildness. These days, people in the UK scoop up and touch Koi too much.
@@KoiKicks I understand what you are saying, but in Japan it is common practice to raise TATEGOI in the same way and on the same schedule as farmers to achieve success in thier own pond.

@@KoiKicks Why not? That pond filler may turn into something 'special' on the right food.. SH has reduced my maintenance from previous feeds.
Yo yo fish looking tops mate . Reckon if you got a nexus even for the indoor you'd have it better again
Only change I might do is a seive instead of the pod.

@@andreashessler838 yeah, I mostly have around 0.2 ppm picked up with the hanna checker but the koi show no reactions.

@atsuminaoki9910 I've hardly touched this pond, they see me twice per day for 10 minutes. I have to also stress, this isn't a Japanese mud pond!

Keep a stiff upper lip. Remember we're British.😂😂
