Great video! I really appreciate the direct comparisons of the best current offerings. Wish we could get more flight time out of the Cinelog 20, that and the Flylens 85 seem the most attractive to me overall.
I'm flying a Mob8 with Gemfan D51-5 props. It's a brilliant little bird. I'm using a Caddx Turtle V2 camera/DVR - it fits the O3 mount like it was made for it. Using the camera's narrow FOV setting takes care of the hoops in view for me. I also rotated the camera 90 degrees CW, and swapped the Roll & Pitch PIDs to get an underslung tankie mount; I like how it handles.
I also have that camera, it's great indeed. Too bad you can't get it anymore. 😕 I'm going to put it with a Rush FPV VTX in a pod I'm going to make out of PVC... To use with rc airplanes and cars.
Hi Mr. Burns, Id like to see more videos of what quads you prefer and just what you enjpy about flying, your opinions , philosophies, lifestyles, jokes our just free thoughts. You have a very trustworthy voice and while I get that you need to make content with reviews, i hope you dont lose what I like about watching your videos, besides gathering info for when I can finally afford to get my own ability to fly so i don't buy the wrong thing , is there is something likeable down to earth that I truar. It'd just be cool to hear more about you and your thoughts. you prob have certain boundaries you like to abide by but every once in a while we just have to take risks and try some new shit. You could do great things. not that you don't. greater more broad. anyway still appreciate the work you do put in. thanks sir.
Nice follow up to all these cinethings coming out of late. I've ended up with a cinelog30, but I really like the 20. All great looking cinewhoops, I like the seperate replaceable ducts. Lots of choice now. Thanks for sharing all this, a lot of info to take in. Cheers!
Nick, i watch many video on quads everyday, you always tell it like it is, resulting in saving many viewer aggravation and money, i know you have saved me from some mistakes, just wanted to say thank you.
Yeah I bort the flylens85 and Pavo 20 kit,and have to agree it does fly great in both "cini"mode or freestyle mode.im working on a base for the vtx to sit deeper into the frame to protect the low slung vtx cage it sits in,i have the 🚶🐌 version and the gap is huge inside.
I've clipped the top of a building with the darkstar20 during a dive and has it spin down about 25m and land on concrete. It broke a single prop and a tiny scratch on the prop guard. I've power looped it straight into firm soil and it's been fine. It might be plastic but that thing can really take a punch! My defender16 broke it's prop guards on a soft landing after it flipped over, and breaks a prop nearly every time it lands. I've had the entire frame basically shatter on hitting a tree. I've already purchased 2 frame kits for it and if the latest one breaks I'm just putting the O3 in something else. Durability is horrific, at least for me! My Cinelog 25 v2 was bullet proof until I used turtle mode on wet grass and the electrics were damaged (oops).
If I want to fly for at least 10 minutes, what size quads should I be looking at? Is it possible to "rip" drones for that length of time? Or do you need to fly more smoothly to achieve that? Sorry, total newbie here with newbie questions.
"ripping" for 10 minutes is very very unlikely in fpv drones. In traditional fpv we have multiple batteries and we change them out. Most drones that fly for 10 or more minutes are long range or cruising flights or they are camera drones that don't have the same flight capabilities of fpv drones.
"It's all about weight" with whoops of this size and even larger drones too. If you're going for long flight time, a mistake often made with "newbies", you're adding much more weight and almost eliminating the "ripping" part of owning these light weight drones. More weight means less performance and more damage in crashes when ripping it. Minimum weight equates to best performance and best ripping by far!!! Ultra light is the key to great ripping, and less damage when crashing. When I built this size of quad for myself, I decided I didn't need the superb video performance of the 03 so I chose to go ultralight and use the Naked Vista with the Nebula Pro Nano top performance camera. My 85mm build weighs in at exactly 60 grams, far lighter than any of these quads, by a mile. Since I also am looking for best ripping experience, I use the smallest, lightest lipo I can find to keep weight low and performance up. It's all about Power to Weight Ratio. Low weight with great power gives best RIP! Bottom Line: I'd adjust your priorities to low weight and great power to weight ratio, not flight time. We've learned over the years that long flight time equates to lowest performance. Think lightweight!!! Switch lipos often...it only takes seconds, and enjoy the performance more than the "cruising slow" flights that last a long time.
Great job, I like your reviews, as always very precise and detailed ❤ Any comparison YMZFPV Starship X1 vs Flylens 85? X1 looks very fast, please what is your opinion which one is more agile?
Please , first of all what is quiter normal cinewhoop or pusher , assume it is all same specs, and I’m in between newbeedrone acrobee75 O3 OR FlYLens 75 O3 , what are you suggesting? 🌹
I think to start the pavo20 would be good. Start on 2s and as the skill builds could switch over to 3s. Start outside though. inside flight is much more challenging and unforgiving.
Thanks for your recommendation. Before I can actually take off I still have to spend a lot of time with the simulator, but it's an advantage if you already have a product in mind and know that it's recommendable
Nice 👍🏻 that’ll be fun. My favourite builds on that frame are: 1002 300mAh 2S on 2015 props OR 3 gram Skystars 1103 on 300mAh 3S with a different AIO for huge power and freestyle ability.
@@TorontoFPV it’s an old motor. But I got a whole batch because they are about half the weight of the more recent 1103s. I still see them occasionally in stores in the US, Canada and China.
I also really like my Flylens 85!!! It will be added to my collection. I often need it for commercial shoots. Flywoo has been very helpful to me.
Great video, great info. Thanks for putting in the effort on this. i want to see 2.5 next

Thanks for breaking it down for us Nick! Glad to see you enjoying these guys.
So excellent thank you for putting this all in one place: just in time for the holiday shopping
very helpful. im glad you like the flylens as i ordered one yesterday!
thank you

Thanks for the comparison video.
Love my pavo 20 so far
I love the oddityrc25..... Nice round up nick

What a great review, I really like spreadsheets with links, allows use to do so easy research, great video thank you.
Darkstar20 O3 under $300 now and much more durable than it seems. Whole spare frame is $15. Only wish the flight time was minute or so longer.
wow I like the pavo 20
Great spreadsheet.
Great video, I wish you had the timestamps for easy navigation! Gold info!
Very helpful information

I've built 2 oddcity rc 2" cinewhoops and I think they are pretty good.1 is naked vista and the other is hdzero I prefer the hdzero most.
Why do you prefer the hdz?
I'm also building the xi20 now with 1303.5 motors on 4s... and with a naked vista too.
It's a lighter vtx and you can feel it when flying. But the vista looks better in the goggles and better range.Thats why I built both.@@nikotttin
Fantastic review perfect!!!
I love your videos , i was waiting for the notyfication from youtube hahahah

X1 looks very fast, please what is your opinion which one is more agile?
I think the starship didn't fly as well as the flylens85. I would rather have the flylens85 than the starship x1.

Excellent
could add kt20 , cinerace 20 and betafpv 85x v2
those fit the category, but are older and its been a while since I have flown or looked at them
Thanks Nick.
Very much appreciate your review on these quads.
Btw, I just received the GEPRC Cinelog 20. 😂
No flywoo cinerace 20? Theyve got an 03 version now.
Sorry no. I had the original, but its been to long ago to bring into recent comparisons.
Wow, up to nearly $500 for a 2in whoop 😳
Sounds about right.
$100 for a cheapie
$200 for very good parts
+100-250 for digital
A TBS RX and O3 is about $300 itself.
What position would the oddity rc xi20 be in?
close to the top in all categories....Its hard to be more specific as it has been longer and longer since I have flown these.
@@NickBurnsFPV I just ordered one after watching your video. I couldn't pass it up with the discount code you provided.
@@rockfordian23 oh great. I really hope you enjoy it.
What about RUSHFPV IKUN20?
That is one I haven't flown, and I haven't flown any quad made by Rush, so its a big leap to discuss in this video.
Top honors go to the quad you won't give away.
lol for me as well.
Lil punk build coming soon! 59gram mob8
