Hello, i just had a carpenters baggy jeans. But i want it to make a taper jeans coz im not really comftable wearing a baggy jeans. So i decided to be make it as a taper jeans but without removing its sides pockets(it is a carpenters jeans, that is why it has a side pockets..but NOT A CARGO pants) so is it possible to retain its side pockets while trimming or turning your baggy carpenters pants? Help me please

Helpful demos 👍
Would you be doing a demo on tapering selvedge jeans? Frankly I do like the short cut of sewing only the outseam selvedge side which produces a classic wide self edge. But some say it should be done on both sides also on inseam
I wear pretty much exclusively selvedge denim and I do all my alterations from the inseam so I don't alter the selvedge ID. Normally I'll do what he did but I will open the selvedge side and run a top stitch on the inseam for strength. Then you can turn them inside out and restitch the selvedge back together.
Since stubling across your channel I've hijacked my mother's sewing machine and now have a much better fitting wardrobe. Thank you.
David Wigston sorry for your mother but I’m super happy for you!
Great video and advice as always
Andre Leverette Jr thanks!
