Loved the fact that Nate worked with the character and bones of the house instead of making it something it was not inted the to be when it was built! The favorite part for me was the fact that you can open the doors to the garden and make it an inside-outside place while getting ready in the boudoir! Would love that for my own place!

I absolutely love the black bedroom!! -- seriously the contrast with the white bedding is so awesome and I don't think it would be too masculine or feminine...I will be having that in the future! Also, the gold vase in his bathroom was so pretty--I'm pretty sure that's part of his target collection and I've been eyeing it at Target for a while haha

I really loved the black windowsills. That's a touch that most would skip, but it frames the outside so fabulously. Love everything really. The bathroom floor is gorgeous too.
Have always loved Nate! I liked the vignettes on the bedside tables with personal photos framed and a vintage clock. The lamps were great and there was a beautiful matching vase in the bathroom to bring it all together. Luv it all! Happy Holidays!

I love Nate first off and would of never thought of black for bedroom but it works. I was only brave enough for grey ;) I love the angel wings they are perfection
My favorite was the black bedroom because it was original, modern and chic all at once. You don't see too many black bedrooms today. And all of the decor makes it even that much appealing to the eye because you mix in new decor (perhaps some of Nate Berkus' collection from Target) with old antiques you already have acquired. You spend a lot of time in your bedroom, so it's really important to make it your own and feel confident in there.
Everyone withdraws from the idea of painting walls black, but it is done so well here! And with the predominately white and black theme of the bedroom, I expected the rest of the furniture to be silver. But they weren't! I love how Nate combined avant garde designs (Black walls) with traditional decor and it all somehow seems to blend smoothly.
Nate, you are my mentor for designing... I absolutely adore the countertop in the bathroom with the door going out to the garden! Fascinating! I have buying your products at Target, the bed linens and duvet covers, all rattan items that I love so much. I truly wish I could win a prize from you. But the golden angel wing bowls on the dining room table with the flowers is what I have to have because I just lost my mom and grandma a few years ago and It would be a great way to honor and remember them both in the same place. I simply cannot just choose one favorite so I narrowed it down to these two 1. That bench in the bedroom look so amazing. 2. The two black fishes hanging on the walls of the bathroom adds so much personality. It makes me wish that the closet doors opened up to a zen garden with a koi pond.

I live in a very old house. It was a log house many years ago. Most of the logs are now hidden but I have able to show a few, I am looking forward to pulling a wall down to expose a walk in fireplace. I enjoy mixing the new with the old. And I agree a house should reflect the people who live there, not a showcase. I'd like to have angel wings and dangling fish because they are unique.And what I wouldn't give to have double doors from the bathroom to the garden, what a great idea. I do have cortisone cream but I've never used it on my face but I will give it a try. We once had a black bedroom because my daughter said it helped her sleep. Never thought anyone else thought of it. At least now I know she isn't weird or anything!
I love anything Nate Berkus I'm a big fan. The black bedroom is a really neat idea I think it would make a great kids room if you used the chalkboard paint. In my sons room the back of his door we did with chalkboard paint and he loves it. I also love the pattern flooring in the bathroom its really pretty with thew darker and lighter wood.

It resembles an unwrapped piece of mouth-watering candy from my childhood and I want to believe it is really blue and translucent under that metallic finish. But Nate's choice for a slick, subtle silver finish offers just a taste of a delicious complement to colorful flowers, which helps the vase achieve its purpose, and makes it a versatile vase for any room in the home. Genius.
