Just got one recently. I think It’s a classy looking watch for the price. I learned that the wheel has two clicks, one for the date and one for the time. First click is for the date, second for time. It’s not easy to feel the first click, so you have to pull it slowly. Love the review!

And I was looking at the manual online and it said the middle click does the date…I am so excited to receive it. Did you get the cream-colored one just like this? They're saying it's loud clicking which I kinda hope it is I love the sound of machinery like a ticking clock… I'm so excited

I have expensive watches, Smart watches, amazfit bip - pebbles -, rare watches etc. I picked up this one when I forgot to grab one at home and I was out and oddly enough, I REALLY like this watch. It's my only Timex and it's just a good watch to knock around and not care about messing it up. It's push button light at night is bright and against say my Citizen Navigator, I just matched it up after a month and it's holding it's time to the exact minute as my cit or Seiko's. Solid good watch with a good band. Good solid weekender or even a daily driver.
Wore this one today, damn if the time is just SOLID still after sitting on my desk, Switched out to a nato velcro band and I just really do like this watch. One of my daily WOTD goto. I can't recommend it enough. I work and garden and shower with this and the velcro band and it really is nice!
You have probably figured this out already, but the first position is the date, and second position is the time. When you were adjusting the time in this video, you were in the second position. Nice watch.
I just bought one of these from walmart. I was looking for the black face version. But this is what they had. The cream colour has grown on me after a few hours. It looks good on your wrist and plenty of strap left over. On my wrist it looks smaller and I am on the last hole. 8.5 inch wrist. I'm going to have to get a new band soon but this leather feels good for now. My second hand doesn't line up at all. However I'm not OCD on this. It looks good and hopefully works well for some time to come. Good review BTW.
I've always been concerned about the infamously loud ticking. I love the field watch aesthetic but have been told by many people the ticking is quite loud. For those of you own a model, including you, of course, Peter, how loud is the ticking? Can it be heard when you put your arm down to your side when standing up?
I bought this exact same watch about a month ago. A fun watch! I put it on a German military style BUND strap. It looks very cool. I own a few fancier timepieces, like a Tissot PRX and a Seiko Presage. But I also own more affordable watches like the Casio Duro, and now, the Timex Expedition. And I love wearing them ALL equally. It just depends on my mood and how I’m dressed that particular day.
Looks really good! Just something casual! Vintage looking! Makes me think of something that Indiana Jones would wear! I ordered this same model on Amazon! Can’t wait to get it!
i just googled and the band itself costs around 30 bucks here. i got myself the black face with yellow second hand in a light gunmetal color, ive been looking at it nonstop

One see them with a dead Indiglo light. Sometime the contacts need adjustment Sometime the light is blown out... A have one for parts, now... TRIEdD to fix the light.... Camer repairman, so I have the tools.. Look at the used one one's eBay
If you get this scout and the silver case and black dial scout, you can swap out the dials and you get 2 nice watches. Just switch out the straps for some nicer ones.
if you have to roll the date many days at the first, if you get it past midnight and let it roll over, then to back to 8:00 and then forward, it'll roll another day. you don't have to go 24 hrs forward to get to the next day - 4 back, and then 4 forward will do it.
$14 to $17 on eBay NOS CN need new batteries... I have three runners SS, Gun Metal,and Black Two Hanger Queens for parts. One was only $12.50 at a thrift store. GOOD to have spare parts! IF you have a few tools...
I have both and just dont want to knock my Seiko, If its one I know I am going to be really having a busy day, even a weekend camp, take the Timex with you. Knock it around, work with it and just dont worry what happens to it. Save the Seiko for something nicer like a date night or office daywear.

Bought mine 2 weeks ago. I noticed a black line at the bottom when you turn on the INDIGLO™ which is the same as your video showed. Is this a feature or defect? Coz this is my first legit watch. I'm not 30 and I did not use any watch since I was a kid.
now that I've had my watch for about eight months that's it the watch strap is trash. I hate the way companies nowadays cheat us… Brand-new the watchband looks nice but suspicious because it's not leather though it says genuine leather. It has one 1/1000 of an inch of veneer possibly leather the inside is just paper. My watch strap separated split apart fragment aided just rotted away. Whatever I just feel cheated that they fake the watchband is not genuine leather there's probably not enough leather to constitute even naming it genuine leather. So now I gotta find another one and hope I don't get ripped off again in this world of everything is fake
There are 20mm Black Stainless Steel Mesh Clasp bands on eBay for only $6.28 ppd. Chinese, but well made. Silver ones are about $2 less.. I have them for my Timex Expedition Scout and Acadia watches...
I just found one on eBay for $15 ppd.! Seller accepted my first offer! I ruined one by trying to fix the Indiglo light contacts.. It had been only $12.50 at my local thrift store.. That one has the black dial.... I once was a camera repairman, so I have the tools. But the broken gold wire is beyond my abilities...
observer eye just do what he did to change it. You can’t simply change the date it’ll mess it up changing past midnight. You have to go to a past date turn it twice or once to next day then set to correct time. Worked for me when I followed what he did.

William Lopez It would seem to be an easy thing to fix for a company that's been in the watch business for countless decades. I ended up buying a cheaper version of Casio's G-Shock, basically a cheaper Casio watch. LCD, and it does all I need. Looks just like the G-Shock. I would have preferred the stylishness of the Timex, but, well.... A wristwatch should be seen, and never heard.

Very nice, easy to read at night... I own one. $15 ppd. NOS on eBay My offer was accepted. Avoid grey numerals on grey faces! I also have one of THOSE.... Their TW4B01800 has white numerals on a dark blue face. Perhaps best at night I have their Acadia with that set up.

Indiglo is the best thing about Timex watches. I love it.
I would rather like to have propper luminescient paint applied. Saves battery live.

In all honesty I only hear it if I put my wrist near my head. Even typing this comment I don't hear it. It isn't all that loud.
