- In this video: I travel to Venice for the Venice Film Festival. I take you with me through the streets of Venice to select my best friend's birthday present and show you how mesmerising this place is. As much as I adoreee Tamara’s everyday style, I think she can do a lot more for the red carpet. It is basically always pretty much same style and doing her own makeup and hair does not contribute as well. She is incredible human being who I adore to watch. All the best 💜

Lol as much as influencer industry is a cool job and offers amazing opportunities and is nice to have as part of the fashion industry these days, famous red carpets have become just a show off for any b-lister when before and it's essence is about the movies and the stars and professionals related to them and the fashion becomes with them. So the differrence at Cannes for "anybody" buying a ticket vs an influencer is not that differrent.

I mean I get that being an influencer has some work to it but what does an influence have to do with the film industry anyway?? so the exclusivity she’s trying to portray for the venice film festival makes no sense tbh

@@carmengrauwels of course working with brands is an achievement. But it is not a film industry achievement. It used to be about people involved in a movie having a special entrance and publicity. I think it should be the small role actor who is up and coming that is presented to press - it should be the Make-up artist and lighting person doing interviews.
I don’t think it should be brands that buy slots and fill it with people promoting them .. but that s the movie industry decision makers and the brands that created this system .. so of course whoever fits the agenda has any right to compete there and is of course personally successful doing so.
I personally don’t like this marketing machinery taking advantage of movies and attention for movies because there isn’t enough spotlight on young artists In the acting business and related trades ..
Actually you are right in terms that for somebody looking from the outside it doesnt really matter if its an influencer or something else. People often like to say we dont deserve to be at these events and you have full right to you opinion. Equally so i have my opinion and im not afraid to share it even when its a little bit tricky. That is how my personality is, i believe that there is a difference between things that can and cannot be bought with money❤

Why? Because more people who couldn’t afford them before their job wear these clothes ? First that s A very ugly viewpoint because you suggest people working for affording these items aren’t worth them .. also Tamara wore Designer Fashion before she was an influencer because her family did amazingly well in business
I have pre ordered a few Pink PP collection items. After seeing so much of it everywhere before the pieces even arrive, I will have to pass. The shoes are already in boutique, the collection will arrive in shops this month but I’m over it. 🙈The same thing happened with the Rendez-vous collection. It’s over saturated before it’s even launched to the paying clients.

I usually love your videos, but couldn't help but feel sad, the way you spoke about liking Venice film festival, because it's more exclusive, 😐 most everyone works hard, that situation is more about being lucky and privileged, wanting even more special treatment than you already have😫
Wow. What I heard and understood her to say is that the Venice film festival gives her more of a sense of achievement from her work because she has to be invited to it, as opposed to Cannes where tickets can be bought. Also because the invitations she gets are from huge/major brands that were - growing up and in the early years of her career - her dream, who want to work with her. Who, even if she's not the only influencer they work with, the fact that they choose her, when there are so many others they could have their pick of, from all around the world, at the top of their game, is a blessing; and tells her she must be doing something right and that her hard work and work ethic is paying off. That gives a sense of achievement. She's achieving HER dreams. What she's living now, the brands she's working with now, some years ago were only a dream, and a seemingly unattainable one at that; and are still her dream, or, rather, dreamlike; because quite a few other influencers in a similar position, remain very grateful and in a somewhat still pinch-me-I'm-dreaming mode, even after multiple occasions and opportunities with major brands they had always loved and admired. She didn't say or mean anything negative. Tamara is not a mean person. Neither arrogant nor insensitive.
