    What a fancy set of mind and fingers which bring down whole imagination to a live, rather lively capture on paper...

    Great videos for practicing a loose method of painting. Which type of brushes do you use.

    • @VanidasMangathilArt

      I usually use synthetic (imitation synthetics with soft brissles) mop/round brushes and a synthetic liner/rigger brush

    Thank you. Your commentary is appreciated. Great tutorial. Do you mostly use straight pigments, or do you do much mixing of colours?

      You are so welcome! Thanks for your words of appreciation!
      For the bright colours, I usually use the colours straight away, but tone variations within those bright colours, for the shadows, for the far away buildings (the greys) etc., I usually mix colours. Hope this answers your question. 😊🙏

    Hello Sir, First of all, I appreciate your work n passion for paintings.. I have one question, what is difference between Gallery price and artist price of painting? Plz answer, thanku

    • @VanidasMangathilArt
      @VanidasMangathilArt  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much! I don't know much details about it - my understanding is that the artist price is what the artist asks for his/her artworks, but gallery price is the price gallery sets which includes gallery's commission.

    I really like the painting Vanish, but didn't really like the dark blue streak on the building in the background, just my own opinion 😊

      Thank you so much for sharing your sincere feedback - I appreciate that! I prefer to experiment while practicing and some decisions turns out to be good while some are not! This helps in bettering my decisions going forward. This is particularly true when I don't keep any references while painting.😊

    I am a beginner sir...with no background in drawing/sketching...can you pl advise how to start...if you can refer videos from your channel...or if you could make a playlist - for absolute beginners like me...thanks and regards

    • @VanidasMangathilArt
      @VanidasMangathilArt  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for the feedback. I have some playlists based on the category of subjects, but don't have one for what you have asked. I will try to create one - maybe I will have to create some basic videos as well to make such a playlist.

    Why do you video your work in this way?
    2/3 of my screen is black. Hold your camera in the landscape format for better viewing.

      Thank you very much for suggestion. I understand the point and personally I prefer horizontal videos. All of my starting videos were horizontal. I have received suggestions to create vertical videos as vertical videos are convenient to be watched on mobile devices (People watch short videos and reels on mobile devices and many are so used to that format).
      My statistics show that around 70% of viewers are on mobile devices and hence I had to decide to go for a mix of vertical and horizontal formats. Finally, some viewers prefer watching the short versions (fast forwarded, very short videos) and vertical format allows me to re-purpose these long videos into short videos to satisfy such viewers. My effort is same for both vertical and horizontal videos - both takes similar amount of my time and effort - which is very significant.
      I will try to ensure a good balance of vertical & horizontal videos going forward. Hope you understand the situations will continue your support.
      Thank you very much !🙏🙏

      @@VanidasMangathilArt Landscape format means that everyone benefits....if you watch on mobile device, you have the option of holding it landscape. (If you watch on computer, you don't.) For me, I would prefer the landscape format. Thank you.
