UPDATE - This pack is as good as any other pack I've owned and maybe even a little tougher that most as its made of less-light materials. I have I use as a saddle hunting bag for deer hunting to carry to climbing sticks platform and everything I need to hunt and it works just as good as any of my 200+ dollar hunting packs
I know this video is a year or so old. But my local Walmart store had one left of a "Slumberjack Dallas Divide" 65 liter backpack that was on clearance for $29.98. Even though it weighs around 5-1/2 pounds. I was able to trim off some of that weight. By looking over the design and removing some of the extra weight. And got it down to exactly 1 pound less. Which is pretty much like any 65 liter backpack.
I have this backpack. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Everytime I use it I find new ways in which it’s useful. The straps are super comfortable, and I love that they are adjustable. It’s also the perfect size (to the inch) to use as a carry-on for flights. 10/10 recommend.
I saw one of these sitting in Walmart about a year ago and it was not even a question of yes or no. I snap that thing up like a child snaps up a piece of candy. I haven't been disappointed with it at all. It's the most comfortable inexpensive pack I own
Amazing backpack. Ozark Trail 50 L in the beige color❤ this pack has so many similarities to high end packs! Who needs North Face or Osprey when Ozark makes a pack like this! I'm a very petite lady and I was able to adjust the shoulder framing PERFECTLY. The pockets, rain fly (in its own pocket😊), and fab zippers make this my favorite hiking pack. I use it as my body pillow when in my tent at night.👌
Update: I'm in month 6 of daily use at my forest camp. My pack : Dragged around in woodsy grime and 30+ lbs stuff packed in there 24/7 and still not one tear, broken hardware, or stitch undone.
I’ve used the hell out of this bag and honestly it’s so great especially with modifications. I am a very tiny lady and it fit me great with little discomfort
Just purchased this and so far I love it. Found two pockets on the underside that I didn’t even know was there ( one you mentioned) but you may have missed the other one ☝🏿 adjacent to it facing the back . in that pocket was a rain cover for the pack! but because I didn’t even notice it I’m taking it a lot of others wouldn’t either so that may be a good place to put any little valuables you might have with you.
I used to be a “ green gear only “ person but have come around to the fact that it doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, it just has to work, especially if you’re on a tight budget . I do love my MOLLE medium rucksack and MSS, though lol
I stumbled upon this bag after watching this video. The website says it's not available at any stores around me, but one happened to be there. I wonder if someone ordered it online, but returned it. The only defect I could find was the strap to hold the water bladder up had no velcro on it. Using it for my bug out bag. Thanks!
I just looked thru tbe whole channel baxk to this point and didn't see a follow up video.... My local wmart has these on sale for $39 and im wondering if they would be good for backpack hunting
Hey Mr. Local Prepper! Enjoyed your video. I have had my eyes on this pack for awhile. I need something just a little bigger for overnight. Kept waiting for you to pull out the rain fly in the bottom! Thanks for reviewing the pack. I’ll sub you so I can catch your next video. Mike
Looking at the pack itself, there is about 12" of adjustability. The Walmart site shows no adjustment chart either. In my opinion, which means nothing...LOL, I believe that there is enough adjustment allowable on the pack to support both tall and short hikers. Good luck and let me know how it works out.
Also was really looking forward to the follow up video to this reviewing how it stood up to a camping test, but don’t see it on your channel. Would love to hear how it did

I bought this pack on a whim. It has held up really well for about 4 plus trips. Also really nice if you don't need to carry alot of heavy things.
Thank you for this review. I just bought this backpack as someone who has never been hiking before and was nervous about it.
Appreciated. Glad I could help.

Yes! They are excellent packs for backpacking. Just remember that packs are rated in liters and you should also research the rated weight.

Wish there was some MOLLE on it for my militia load out but I guess I can just attach everything to my plate carrier i love my pack
That front pocket at 5: 36 is parasitic eh, that's not great... What does the frame consist of ?
I appreciate your time spent in responding, thanks
Its $39 as of today!
Thanks and GoodStuff™
I have this backpack but hate how it doesn’t come with a clip to hang hydration bladder
Modify w/5-50 cord.
Good stuffing review - your woobie looks like a poncho liner ... Thanks for the post - And dang man you gotta a lot of packs - sub left
Appreciated!
Where'd you find the Bergan?😮
I an army surplus store, about 20 years ago.
Do you know how short a torso this will adjust down to?
Give me some time and I'll get back to you.

How would you rate its resistance to water? Any recommendation for a waterproof cover for a bag this size? Great review btw, thanks!
It comes with a water proof cover. Its in a hidden punch at the bottom of the pack. Its as water resistant as another pack.

@@LocalPrepper awesome man, really appreciate the response and take care
