Great video, HOw did you get the footage off to a laptop or mac, just got one and am struggling to fathom how to gete onto a macbook, any advice welcome. thanks
@@kirakeynow Depends if the camera has an S-Video/AV output, if it does, then you can record it onto a USB capture card directly from the camera and use software like AMCap to record it. If recording from a VCR you can use Scart to AV or just AV output to record aswell.
@@recreview3835 I have been told that those cheap accessories to go from usb to the computer lower the quality of the original outlet... firewire is better... is this true?
Hello. Nice memories. I have M5 too. But the cassette is stuck inside the video and it's not coming out. Do you know how to get it out without damaging it? Thanks
@@miguelpelayo3052 I unscrewed the whole video from behind and turned a few pulleys by hand and it opened. After that, of course, the video didn't work. I just wanted to save only the tape. Αnyway the video was damaged before. Only for the shop window. Antique
So much memories. I had a brand new onM5 back in 89. Used to film weddings and made some good money with it.
I own this one too. How did you make it digital? its an odd setup for video out.

You can use a USB capture card or a VHS to DVD recorder
@@aidans9010 but with an vcr or directly from the camera?

Great review and awesome shots! How did you transfer the video from the tape to your PC? Looks brilliant!
Greetings from Germany
Thank you! I used EasyCap video capture adapter for transfering. It's a cheap device. :)
Thanks mate, helps a lot! :)
