Sardar Patel was very much in Gandhi's camp. He was more focused on farmers and Satyagraha. It was only after independence that he took a completely different avatar for good. But yeah Gandhi not only agreed of Indian participation in World wars but he also facilitated the recruitment of Indians to fight in the wars. He was also of the opinion that Indians should not attack the British when they were fighting World wars.
In hindsight one can say whatever one feels like..

Guys I noticed that a few Pak reaction channels doing reaction to this video on Haifa are giving the same explanation at the end of the video - that "British soldiers used India to fight and capture Haifa" to form a sort of perception. But be proud of what our soldiers accomplished as this battle is under our name more than the British and don't let any Pakistanis tell you otherwise.
