Well I know this is 2021 and I'm a New Yorker. But I ain't leaving my kids alone in Alabama out in the boonies. And it ain't got nothing to do with if they talk or not. My Grandmother is from Birmingham, and she knew better not to take me there, when she would go down there. In New York, strangers rarely talk, but in the South and Midwest, I found people very receptive and most said hello in small towns. Ain't that what they do down yonder?
