Anne, that was lovely. A great tribute to see so much of David's work in one place. I am sure he was watching from the heavens. Thanks for sharing with us.
Anne, we really appreciate this tribute to David Short, his life was simple yet he touched so many and we thank him everyday for his superlative accomplishments.
Reading this means so much to me, thank you so much for this note. He was truly a very special person. Talented, yes, but I've had texts from people who learned from and worked with him and his reach was truly impressive and impactful. Cheers to you!
“Proof of life” indeed. You shine a warm glow on why these schooners are worthwhile. And as is typical your videography, narration, captioning are all done with excellence. ⛵️🤩
Well said. I agree completely! Could I ask one favor, to keep your captions on the screen longer. I’m not the fastest reader and the detail that you share is so good that I want to take a second and think about it.
Gurl. I can’t even. This is the balm my soul needed. And Andrew saying that the culture of imperfect things being cast out really got to me. Thank you my friend, for sharing your many gifts.
Seems as though a ship that is greater than the sum of its parts can truly still be a part of something great. When form gets in the way of function a museum piece gets burned as scrap. Raised and rooted Midwest nice to see cultural life of those blessed by the sea.
Nice music. You might consider making the text a little larger and the onscreen time a tiny bit longer for those of us that are having difficulty. I had to go back and pause a number of times to finish reading stuff. I really enjoyed the details about what we were looking at. Thanks. Referred to you by Acorn to Arabella.
Hi Anne just so you know people that are hard of hearing only hear what is loudest. Great job/start looking forward for many more. Hope to see you this summer.
I was in the crew that sailed the Ernestina/Morrissey from the Cape Verde Islands to New Bedford in 1984. I am so glad that she is again ready to sail for another generation. TM retired but still likes Fredonia Schooners.
Good morning Anne 😸, congratulations on the launch of your new You Tube channel 🎉💥👍👏😻 . Lovely first episode , beautiful Ships and music to go along with the video ( saw Ben's name in the credits 😸) , looking forward to more from you ❤🙏😸😺
A very special presentation of the dedication of the shipwrights to their craft and the living works from their hands. I so enjoyed this and look forward to what is to come. Just beautiful!
As a follower of both Arabella and Rosalind I'm very pleased to see more from you. I really like the gentle appreciation of these fine boats that you share with us. Ben's music is always a treat as well.
💙 Beautiful scenes Anne. Your voice is so deep, I struggle to make out the words. Possibly a little treble uptick could help. Amazing history is being told here. The people of the sailing community are lovely. Thank you for recording these stories. 💜
Beautiful work. Living boats should be celebrated and you and Ben have made something very nice and sensitive. To me it's just an easy tempo of a life imagined but I'm sure there are some this will mean so much more.
As always Anne...Well done, Well done! Now a new goal in my life will be to be here for your 300th episode. I look forward to each one. Thank you for a fantastic experience.
Anne, thanks so much for your special involvement with these floating works of art and history. I look forward to many more episodes. Be well, be safe!
Well Annie, this is wonderful! Very heartfelt. And I appreciate the comments by Andrew about practicality. Great work. Hope to see you again some day. Cheers and congratulations, Toby
Good Morning Anne. Kim and I met you at Granby at the open house for Arabella. Such a delight to meet you and talk about all things wooden boat. We are so happy to see you using your talents in these fine videos. We subscribed (of course) and will follow along.
I cannot be the only one who thinks Harold Burnham looks exactly like Alan Hale Jr. Someone get him a black captain's hat, some tan cargo pants, and a royal blue polo shirt!! Congrats Anne!!!
Wow, what a great splash for this channel! I love it. It felt real, not like a big production. Whenever either (or both) of you two are involved in some boaty youtube thing, it puts a smile on my face. The discussion of a workboat characteristic is interesting. Maybe something to dive more into. I think when you're building your own boat that's not a business, it's easy to get caught up on details that don't matter. Not only that... once launched pretty much every boat looks like a workboat after a couple months in the elements. So it's an interesting question of how to hold back and be real. Conserving wood is a value that can help, as you pointed out. Anyway, I look forward to more from this channel! (but take your time...)
Enjoyed seeing your channel for the first time. Enjoyed watching you on the Arabella too. My only comment is it is difficult to understand what you’re saying. You’re a very nice, soft spoken lady, too soft spoken during some of your video. Good luck on your future productions. Looking forward to following you. From Missouri
Oh Anne, you showed so much compassion for Arabella, it's a pleasure to see you sharing your passion with these other fine working sculptures.
Anne, that was lovely. A great tribute to see so much of David's work in one place. I am sure he was watching from the heavens.
Thanks for sharing with us.
This ship has nothing to hide, Its perfection
Thank you Anne.

We are truly lucky to live so close to these amazing boats. There are many still on the Great Lakes and bigger rivers, too!

Thanks for that feedback! I appreciate it!
Hi Anne just so you know people that are hard of hearing only hear what is loudest.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for your support, John! Cheers!
The boats are beautiful but so is the love that you have for the boats that shines through in your video. This is my new favorite channel.
Oh my goodness, thank you so very much.

Thank you so very much for all the ways you support and encourage, Bob!! Look forward to filming something with you at your shop!
Bravo! My new favorite channel. Btw, I sail my Ingrid gaffer out of Ventura, (SoCal) out and about the Channel Islands.
Sounds dreamy!
Zoom Out, good stuff.
