improved is correct. up to scratch? getting there. She's at that part of learning a new skill where you no longer reach strides and leaps in improvement but getting to the finer points where you need to put in much more work to gain just as much progress and growth. Lots of people like to say thats good enough and plateau at this stage. I hope she keeps pushing. She has a quality in her voice that most girls in EN can't do. She'd make a great Mezzo-alto. As most of the girls are mezzo or straight up soprano.
