Wow!! You got lucky. I tried fading away. Flew under the radar for about 15 years, although my family distanced themselves from me & considered me weak. Thought after 15 years I had been successful, but NO.. As soon as I started attending a nondenominational church, the shunning started big time!! The shunning has actually been a blessing.. kept my family from pulling me back in & gave me time to deprogram!! I started over & made a great new life .. sad my JW family has missed out on sooo much!
Good to hear you are doing better. I'm sort of the opposite - my family was "worldly" and only my sister and myself were JW's. We're both out now, so WT can't play the "shunning" card on us.
Wonder how long it will be until they phase out the mags completely. The sad thing is, the mags were never needed. They could have just used the Bible and maybe some small tracts.

Really? Then why did I spend the last year reading 5 Bibles cover to cover. Do you know I read the Jerusalem Bible, the American Standard Bible (Gideon), the New World Translation 1984 and The New World Translation 2013 cover to cover and now I am in 1st Chronicles 11 in the New International Version. I also read the Book of Enoch cover to cover and listened to The Book Of Jasher on You-tube. I know that Watchtower says that "No one can understand The bible without the help of a Watchtower Magazine." C.T. Russel said that way back in 1870 and they still carry that forward until today. The sad part is that Jehovah's Witnesses don't know and are not allowed to know their own history. Just ask an Elder to show you the pyramid chart from The Finished Mystery and explain it...or to explain why they use to say "the Generation that saw 1914 come in would by no means pass away" and now they say "The OVERLAPPING generation will by no means pass away." Why is that? Oh yes...that same "New Light" that claimed 1975 was the end of this wicked system..then latter took it back! But you are right...I'm a lowly "Idiot". So, can you pity me and let me know 1 Biblical question since your Jw teachings are so superior to mine? Ok, please explain to me why in 1st Kings 13: 11-34 the True Man of God was killed, yet the prophet who tricked him was not. Hi. I’m a waking up/fading JW. Only been a JW for 5 years. Not baptised as I don’t agree with the WT baptism vows, particularly where the organisation has inserted itself into the baptismal vows. I really enjoyed this video of yours. You don’t come across as one of those pathetic bitter ex-JWs that you see so many of. You know the ones I mean: were JWs for years, supporting all the rules and regulations, gleefully partook in shunning... that is until they themselves committed a “wrong” and were punished. Suddenly the whole system is unfair. I like the way you put your evidence together in a calm, friendly way. I’m not sure you’re right about the GB saying we are in the tribulation now, or will enter it in the next few weeks. Perhaps you can show me where they actually said that. I think the term you were looking for in the video, where you are talking about JT/Lady Cee’s channel is : critical thinking. I watch their channel too and think it’s great. How do they know? Someone "elder"made a topic about this for sure. You know when you put fear in the minds of the people...they become slaves. I would like to say that many kingdom halls have several congregations in them. Some are double kingdom halls and also like at some of the halls in my area we have 3 kingdom halls and I know for a fact two of them have at least three congregations that come at different times. We have not been told that we are in the great tribulation.

As far as I am aware from JW's that I know, the emphasis now is on their JW.org website. That is why they have slimmed down hard copies of their magazines, and cut down the copies printed each year. You can access all their latest literature and video's on their website, and in a variety of different languages.

Watchtower has the money no matter what the inflation would be. Jehovah would provide the funding as He did with Solomon and the temple. - Keep in mind that all things belong to Jehovah and He has a way of keeping what He wants, if He wants to. Yes, that is it, Thank you. I use to place that book all the time back in the 70s. The Org, was so sure that peace and security was just about to happen. And right now they feel like they are in the "Great Tribulation" not because we really are in the Great Trib, but because they are reaping the consequences of their own actions. Kingdom Halls for sale isn't it logical,that if you have three separate buildings paying light bills, internet,land tax etc. And one building could be used to house a Spanish congregations,a Chinese congregation,an English congregations and a Sign language congregation,.For your enlightenment,over 30,000 new Kingdom Halls were built world wide.Durr.In 2010 there were four people working on each garbage truck three guys behind and a driver.Today only one person is required.The driver operates the mechanism from inside to pick up the garage bins and dump them in the truck.Is the population of the cities getting smaller? Absolutely not.There is no need for so many garbage trucks .One truck operated by one guy gets the Job done more efficiently than the older trucks with four guys.
The preaching work has not stopped you will see the Witnesses out in field service. There is a paper reduction act going on in the world because of the number of trees that do not need to be cut down. This is not just for the witnesses but in many businesses even the medical field. The world is more in to technology.

sos, I thought when that book first came out it was inspired of god, I was mesmerized. Especially how they tied the JW history from CT Russel 1874 to 1914 to 1935 to the 2 witnesses, the woman in the wilderness, the numerology and symbology, the 7 bowels, trumpets etc., although it had been sanitized by omitting all the outlandish claims from CT Russel and his Usurper Rutherford the drunkard. The last few leaders like Knorr and Franz should have taken a page right out of the Bible by exposing the sins, faults or lack of faith that the LEADERSHIP had committed. For example look at the books of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles they detail all the selfish, drunken, adulterous, faithless, apostasy, fornicating, murderous, greedy behaviour of allegedly Anointed priests and kings of Israel. But, when you read the Proclaimers book it's sanitized and whitewashed history of the leadership exposes their desire to misrepresent the 'TRUTH' AND HISTORY of the IBSA and JWs.
Yes there was a time when I also thought that ALL magazines and books from Watchtower were inspired of God because the GB and the anonymous writing department led us fools to believe in "the John class" and "the Ezekiel class" and "the sole channel of God" and "the spirit-directed and anointed faithful and discrete slave class dispensing delicious spiritual food at the proper time. Now, the spiritual food is NOT perfect because Jesus did not tell them it would be (shifting the blame to Jesus), and the faithful slave is NOT now inspired of God because the GB discovered of late that they are subject to doctrinal and organizational errors (new light). The rabbit hole they've dug for themselves gets deeper, hard for them to catch a breath of air down there. Better for business had the 7 wizards remained hidden and camera-shy.

Found your video interesting. Love that you compare a variety of bibles. May I make a suggestion for a future presentation. One teaching that Christendom has latched on to is the rejection of common law marriage and polygamy, thus many are condemned or at least spoken against due to the moral stance Christendom (including JWs) has presented. Whats more the vast majority that are disfellowshiped from JWs are removed due to this moral stance. I recently read the book "Does the Bible condone Polygamy?" by J A Farmer, (found it on Amazon) and it knocked my socks off. This book compares around 16 different bibles and clearly shows that the moral code set is not from Jehovah or from Jesus Christ but rather due to the worship of the Queen of Heaven (Roman goddess Juno) and her consort Jupiter ( a Baal god and worshiped as the god of gods that all other gods had to obey, also known as Jove). The point being that many claim to be God's representatives on earth, but such ones cannot reject the ways of Jehovah and insist on the ways of false gods and still be of God. The subject is controversial as in the west polygamy is rejected but this book clearly shows that by this one teaching, those who reject common law marriage and polygamy on religious grounds speak against Jehovah, call Christ a sinner (Deut 13:1-18) and promote the worship of the "Queen of heaven" and a "Baal" god. This book does not promote common law marriage or polygamy but leaves it up to the reader to make their own choice in the matter. Clearly understanding this subject is the reason I walked away. Have a look, I would like to hear your thoughts on a video presentation. Don't get me wrong, I still love Jehovah, but not those who speak lies in his name.

What I am saying is that the current Jehovah's Witness doesn't realize is that the Watchtower Organization lightened the load of the current Jehovah's witness from all the hard work we had to do in the 1990's to the barely doing any work that you guys today are (or aren't) doing. How are we suppose to know if we are really following Jehovah if Jehovah constantly changes? Matthew 24:14 still says the truth will be preached in all the inhabited earth and then the end will come. 1 Tim 3:1-5 still warns us the conditions on the earth in the last days will be as they are today. The organization is run by Humans, I am not denying that, but among the only group who professes the god of the Isrealities, who lost gods favor many centuries ago, is the safest place to be when shit hits the fan, I can gaurentee you, 100% that the US government will not save you.

But you might think "No one can talk about The Bible but Jehovah's Witnesses"...well, that's not true. When I "talk Bible" with people, I have a great time. Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, United Churchers and others really like to talk about Jesus and we quote scriptures and talk about what it's all about.

I also worked Magazine Counter for a few years and commented every meeting. - you do realize that none of that "Service" actually served God, right? Wow!! You got lucky. I tried fading away. Flew under the radar for about 15 years, although my family distanced themselves from me & considered me weak. Thought after 15 years I had been successful, but NO.. As soon as I started attending a nondenominational church, the shunning started big time!! The shunning has actually been a blessing.. kept my family from pulling me back in & gave me time to deprogram!! I started over & made a great new life .. sad my JW family has missed out on sooo much!

I really enjoyed this video of yours. You don’t come across as one of those pathetic bitter ex-JWs that you see so many of. You know the ones I mean: were JWs for years, supporting all the rules and regulations, gleefully partook in shunning... that is until they themselves committed a “wrong” and were punished. I would like to say that many kingdom halls have several congregations in them. Some are double kingdom halls and also like at some of the halls in my area we have 3 kingdom halls and I know for a fact two of them have at least three congregations that come at different times. We have not been told that we are in the great tribulation.

Just for you! - although I think I lost some of my "Biblical Mojo" over the summer. I feel a little like i can't get my thoughts out as well as i once did.
As far as I am aware from JW's that I know, the emphasis now is on their JW.org website. That is why they have slimmed down hard copies of their magazines, and cut down the copies printed each year. You can access all their latest literature and video's on their website, and in a variety of different languages.
True...the second reason is so that they can change what they wrote if doctrine changes. No hard copies means no hard evidence.

Interesting that you say that. The Bible Writers of the new Testament often quote the Book of Enoch. If WT uses it, that's another question.

Kingdom Halls for sale isn't it logical,that if you have three separate buildings paying light bills, internet,land tax etc. And one building could be used to house a Spanish congregations,a Chinese congregation,an English congregations and a Sign language congregation,.For your enlightenment,over 30,000 new Kingdom Halls were built world wide.Durr.In 2010 there were four people working on each garbage truck three guys behind and a driver.Today only one person is required.The driver operates the mechanism from inside to pick up the garage bins and dump them in the truck.Is the population of the cities getting smaller? Absolutely not.There is no need for so many garbage trucks .One truck operated by one guy gets the Job done more efficiently than the older trucks with four guys.

The preaching work has not stopped you will see the Witnesses out in field service. There is a paper reduction act going on in the world because of the number of trees that do not need to be cut down. This is not just for the witnesses but in many businesses even the medical field. The world is more in to technology.

I thought when that book first came out it was inspired of god, I was mesmerized. Especially how they tied the JW history from CT Russel 1874 to 1914 to 1935 to the 2 witnesses, the woman in the wilderness, the numerology and symbology, the 7 bowels, trumpets etc., although it had been sanitized by omitting all the outlandish claims from CT Russel and his Usurper Rutherford the drunkard.
The last few leaders like Knorr and Franz should have taken a page right out of the Bible by exposing the sins, faults or lack of faith that the LEADERSHIP had committed. For example look at the books of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles they detail all the selfish, drunken, adulterous, faithless, apostasy, fornicating, murderous, greedy behaviour of allegedly Anointed priests and kings of Israel.
But, when you read the Proclaimers book it's sanitized and whitewashed history of the leadership exposes their desire to misrepresent the 'TRUTH' AND HISTORY of the IBSA and JWs.
Yes there was a time when I also thought that ALL magazines and books from Watchtower were inspired of God because the GB and the anonymous writing department led us fools to believe in "the John class" and "the Ezekiel class" and "the sole channel of God" and "the spirit-directed and anointed faithful and discrete slave class dispensing delicious spiritual food at the proper time. Now, the spiritual food is NOT perfect because Jesus did not tell them it would be (shifting the blame to Jesus), and the faithful slave is NOT now inspired of God because the GB discovered of late that they are subject to doctrinal and organizational errors (new light). One teaching that Christendom has latched on to is the rejection of common law marriage and polygamy, thus many are condemned or at least spoken against due to the moral stance Christendom (including JWs) has presented. Whats more the vast majority that are disfellowshiped from JWs are removed due to this moral stance. I recently read the book "Does the Bible condone Polygamy?" by J A Farmer, (found it on Amazon) and it knocked my socks off. This book compares around 16 different bibles and clearly shows that the moral code set is not from Jehovah or from Jesus Christ but rather due to the worship of the Queen of Heaven (Roman goddess Juno) and her consort Jupiter ( a Baal god and worshiped as the god of gods that all other gods had to obey, also known as Jove). The point being that many claim to be God's representatives on earth, but such ones cannot reject the ways of Jehovah and insist on the ways of false gods and still be of God.
The subject is controversial as in the west polygamy is rejected but this book clearly shows that by this one teaching, those who reject common law marriage and polygamy on religious grounds speak against Jehovah, call Christ a sinner (Deut 13:1-18) and promote the worship of the "Queen of heaven" and a "Baal" god. This book does not promote common law marriage or polygamy but leaves it up to the reader to make their own choice in the matter. Clearly understanding this subject is the reason I walked away. Have a look, I would like to hear your thoughts on a video presentation.

Jesus gave his life so that we might live forever

Jehovah God arranged a means for overcoming the effects of sin and freeing us from the penalty of eternal death. How? He sent his beloved Son from heaven to be born as a perfect human like Adam. There, Jesus presented to God the value of his perfect human life to redeem what Adam had lost for himself and his offspring. Jehovah accepted that sacrifice, making it possible for those who exercise faith in Jesus to receive everlasting life.-Romans 3:23, 24; 1 John 2:2.
Jesus thus bought back what Adam had forfeited. He suffered death for us so that we could live forever. The Bible says: “Jesus . . . suffered death, so that by God’s undeserved kindness he might taste death for everyone.”-Hebrews 2:9.
This provision reveals much about Jehovah. His high standard of justice made it impossible for imperfect humans to redeem themselves. However, his love and mercy moved him to meet his own requirements at an enormous cost to himself-the giving of his own Son to provide the redemption price.-Romans 5:6-8.
To live forever, we must exercise faith in Jesus
“God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”-John 3:16.
The first pages of the Bible tell of the time when death came to be and Paradise was lost. The final pages tell of the time when death will be brought to nothing and God will restore Paradise to the earth. People will then be able to live happy, productive lives forever. Revelation 21:4 says: “Death will be no more.” To underscore the reliability of that promise, verse 5 states: “These words are faithful and true.” What Jehovah promises, he is fully able to do.
Do you believe that “these words are faithful and true”? Then, learn more about Jesus Christ, and exercise faith in him. If you do, you will gain Jehovah’s approval. Not only will you experience his rich blessing now but you will gain the hope of life eternal in the earthly Paradise, where “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”
Jesus is Jehovah.
(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
THE FATHER IS CHRIST’S GOD
If the “Word” were indeed the “second person” of a triune God, should we not expect the Bible to say this in clear terms? If Jesus of the “New Testament” is Jehovah of the “Old Testament,” as many claim, should there not at least be one Biblical reference definitely saying that Jesus is Jehovah? Yet there is not one. In fact, Jesus himself recognized his Father as his God, saying to Mary Magdalene: “I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.”-John 20:17.
Thus the Father alone is THE God, the Supreme One, to whom all owe worship and to whom all, including the Son, are rightly subject. Our God is therefore the same One who is the God of Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul pointed out to fellow believers: “There is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.” (1 Cor. 8:6) Does this not reveal a clear distinction between the Father and the Son as to their position, power and authority?
The Father and the Son are not equal, as Trinitarians claim. “The head of the Christ is God.” (1 Cor. 11:3) As Christians are the property of Christ, so Christ is God’s property. Wrote the inspired apostle Paul: “You belong to Christ; Christ, in turn, belongs to God.” (1 Cor. 3:23) Does this not perhaps refer to Christ only while a human on earth? Though himself a Trinitarian, theologian C. F. Kling makes this comment about the apostle’s words: “By belonging to Christ we indirectly belong to God . . . And so, on the one hand, we see our union to God to be mediated by Christ, and, on the other, that Christ is subordinated to the Father, as shown in xi. 3. To consider this subordination however as belonging solely to His human nature, would not accord with a correct view of the whole subject. It is the whole Christ that is here spoken of, and that too not simply as in His state of humiliation, but also in His state of glory.”-A Commentary on the Holy Scriptures, by J. P. Actually, everything that the Son has he has received from the Father. Note Jesus’ own statements: “The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. . . . For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the Son . . . And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is.” (John 5:19-27) “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.” (Matt. 28:18) That includes kingly authority, as is evident from Daniel 7:13, 14, which reads: “With the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him.”
After accomplishing his millennial work as king toward humankind, Jesus Christ will ‘hand over the kingdom to his God and Father.’ As the Bible clearly states, he “will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.” (1 Cor. 15:24-28) Obviously, then, the Son owes everything to his Father and rightly acknowledges that fact. He is not his Father’s equal.

Also, using "Jehovah" as "God's Name" is so faulty. You do realize that God was named "Elohim", "El Shaddai", Yahweh, and many others. Do you know what those names mean and how they were used in The Bible? What they meant to the Hebrews?

Actually, no. What I am saying is that the current Jehovah's Witness doesn't realize is that the Watchtower Organization lightened the load of the current Jehovah's witness from all the hard work we had to do in the 1990's to the barely doing any work that you guys today are (or aren't) doing.
Do you know that the Jehovah's Witnesses are the only "religion" today that constantly upgrades their own doctrines? How are we suppose to know if we are really following Jehovah if Jehovah constantly changes? That thought is actually "counter-scripture" since the Bible says that Jehovah never changes, but remains constant to times indefinite.

I understand that theyve got it wrong multiple times. That has happened all throughout history to many groups. That fact alone does not immediately discredit the whole Bible. Matthew 24:14 still says the truth will be preached in all the inhabited earth and then the end will come. 1 Tim 3:1-5 still warns us the conditions on the earth in the last days will be as they are today. The organization is run by Humans, I am not denying that, but among the only group who professes the god of the Isrealities, who lost gods favor many centuries ago, is the safest place to be when shit hits the fan, I can gaurentee you, 100% that the US government will not save you.

Gee, I am truly sorry to hear that your life went that way. When I left the JW's, I had a rough spell for a bit, but I went to school, I got a few educations, had a few good jobs, found a great wife, married and had 2 kids. I never got addicted to drugs or alcohol and I never ended up in jail. I could see at the time that that was a bad way of life and it just didn't interest me.

Wow man, I am sorry to hear life treated you so badly. Yes, there are some people out there that you can't trust, I will agree with that, - and that can also include Jehovah's Witnesses - but you and I have been out of The Truth for the same period of time, so I left in 1997....but I had a totally different experience. I met some really great people who have given me free stuff because they want to see me succeed in life. I have some friends helping me fix up an old car that I had parked for 13 years because they don't want to see me and my kids walking in winter weather. I have also met some pretty forgiving people as well who have remained true friends because we can both overlook our differences. Those are "worldly People" I am talking about.
But you might think "No one can talk about The Bible but Jehovah's Witnesses"...well, that's not true. When I "talk Bible" with people, I have a great time. Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, United Churchers and others really like to talk about Jesus and we quote scriptures and talk about what it's all about.
