    That table stuck moment is the perfect example of how no troubleshooting is enough, the user will eventually find a glitch. hahaha. You probably figured this out by now, but you could've just jumped off it.

    Not sure if someone pointed thid out somewhere (didn't notice it at a glance in comments), but the reason the game has so limited facial structufe modification options is due to the massive amount of motion captured facial animations that is used in the game, that allowing a full customization for so many races, could lead to massive amount of animation problems. So I think they decided to allow only a limited set of preset facial structure options to allow them to run and tweak the animations to work exactly as intended on these ones
    That being said, can't wait to get into watching this LP, I hope it will be a good one 😊

    GOAT of a game, great choice! Down down down by the river and the rest of the music from this game is amazing. Well played Bard!
    Keep an eye out for musical instruments as you play through since you can play them as a bard.

    A bard isn't a bad choice for your main character. They're a charisma based class, which means that you'll have an easier time convincing, deceiving, or intimidating people in dialogue. If you had set the brain free instead of destroying it, you would have had a temporary ally to aid you in combat.

    • @joshcopley9039

    It'll take a while to get used to everything. There's just so much to look at/read & understand what's best for every situation. So take it slow.
    Def pay attn to where you're walking. Obv the fire was a problem. But the grounds are constantly covered w things that can hurt/impede your movement (you were all standing in grease during that last battle, which is why your movements were slowed). The cursor will always tell you what's ahead so you can go around or jump!
    For those skill checks/die rolls, you now have a bonus to add! Check the bottom before you roll!

    Don’t worry about it you will get the handle of it as you play. Now each mode you choose in the beginning is easy at first it does get hard but you learn different ways to approach the fights. It what Balders gate 3 does well. Enjoy the game you will fun with it.

    Just found your channel and this playthrough cause I have just started the game too. Having a little too much fun with the character creation 😂, so I haven't gotten very far. Bard is my first character too, though her race is Drow which is essentially dark elf in DnD. Anyway I hope you're enjoying the game like I am. Right now I'm struggling to find people to co-op with in at least 1 co-op campaign. Part of the problem is my friends have already played it enough from day 1 and I only got the game recently towards the end of the winter sale on Steam. Hopefully I'll be able to get it on PS5 to play with my friends. I didn't get it on PS5 cause it's cheaper on Steam and my friends had moved on to other games

    The create a character scene for console UI looks so awkward compared to the pc version omg
    I never thought of mindflayer ships as being a 'space ship' or sci-fi, esp since it seems to be made out of flesh. Interesting read

    larian studios is my favorite studio, i love all the other games like divinity original sin 1 and 2, after u beat this one maybe u enjoy the otheres, hope u can enjoy this game =) as everyone have they own different taste.
    to understand the combat easier
    think about it like this
    you can do movment and one Action (dashing count as a action), and a bonuse action so is movment + one action + a bonus action.
    the distance you can move depends on the character skill/item stuff.

    Rip the no character creation.. was really looking foward to that.. is there a way to upload the character creation separately or were you not recording??
    Character creator is the best parts of rpgs and so many people cut it out the video even though 99.9% of people want to see that 😭

    I remember you from back in the day.Hope things have been ok for you.
    I had seen a little about Dand D . Never played it. Never know anyone who did . This game may be the best game of all time.Larian will have a hard time topping it.
    I use a mod that allows you to have all the party members in one party so you don't have to leave anyone in camp. Makes your team overpowered in some respects so I added a mod that clones all the enemies to try to even things out. I like having everyone participate and hear their banter.

    You can really only be truly blind to this game if you never ever played any RPG at all in your life. There is so many games that has it's origin in DnD that you can't be 100% a novice to it. Dragon Age for an example started out as a DnD module before BioWare made a game of it. Eye of the Beholder, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, to name a few games that are based on the DnD ruleset. DnD is after all the grandfather of all RPGs as it's been around for over 50 years now.

    How come you never add bonuses and why do you keep on going on the fire??

  • @michaelgrabner8977
    @michaelgrabner8977 ปีที่แล้ว

    Choosing "Noble" as background means that you will have a bonus added for History + Persuasion skill check dice rolls.
    Another thing I observed is that your stats aren´t optimal for a Bard...his mainstat is Charisma which should be maxed, but you didn´t. Instead you have put points into Intelligence + Wisdom which a pure Bard does not need at all to be powerful because his spell power + damage power comes solely from Charisma.
    Now because you got only 15 points in Charisma instead of the possible max of 17 points at the beginning means that you have one spell less to put in your inventory for usage + your Charisma modifier is just 2 points instead of 3 points (that 1 modifier point less + one spell less might be now the difference for dying instead of surviving in combat)...the modifier is the bonus which got added to your D20 dice rolls which are happening behind the scenes, because everything you do in the game during combat and outside of combat is based on dice rolls happening behind the scenes...just the skill checks are done with a manual click.
    The stats a good functioning Bard needs are:
    high DEX (= for high armour class + high Initiative + for the powerful usage of Finesse weapons or ranged weapons which is the Bard´s default weapon proficiency) +
    high CONSTITUTION (=for healthpoints + but foremost for Concentration spells which he has a lot for supporting his allies = is the Bard´s role "Support Class" buffing allies or debuffing enemies with concentration spells and the higher the constitution the lower is the chance to loose the concentration for such spells when taking a hit from the enemy) +
    maxed CHARISMA (=for high number of spells + for high damage bonus for attack spells and weapon attack hits + for verbal interaction with other NPCs)
    The rest = Strength + Intelligence + Wisdom don´t need to be increased at all when you play a pure Bard. You will have party members covering those stats anyway. To play the game is basically a "team effort" out of "specialists in certain stats" with certain roles to fulfill..
    Actually the predefined default settings are more than just totally fine for playing the game till "Balanced Difficulty"..just for playing "Tactition" + "Honour" you have to "min - max" the stats manually or for multiclassing which I don´t suggest to do anyway when you aren´t familiar with the game mechanics.
    Very early in the game a certain NPC will join your camp who gives you the opportunity to respec your character at any time and I highly suggest to do that in order to have a good functioning Bard for your playthrough..and then have fun.

    • @HH-hd7nd
      @HH-hd7nd ปีที่แล้ว

      Min-maxing is not necessary unless you play honor mode.
      Besides - characters can be build in different ways. It is for example perfectly viable to completely ignore dex and go for strength instead as a bard. Her stats are perfectly fine as is.
      Not to mention that the overall ability scores are lower if you max out stats in the beginning because of the increased point-buy costs.
      Ignoring int and wis is also a huge mistake in BG3 because you never know which checks may come up in conversations and it is rare that you'll have the perfect character leading the conversation. And since switching characters in conversations is not possible it puts you at a huge disadvantage if you ignore the mental stats.

    • @michaelgrabner8977
      @michaelgrabner8977 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HH-hd7nd For playing a pure bard as High Elf your argumentation is nonsense.
      Especially for a beginner who has no clue how the game mechanics actually work, and what the Bard as a High Elf naturally provides = simple weapons proficiency like Rapier which is a Finesse weapon Dex based and the default weapon for a reason... or Short swords + Bows + Handcrossbows all Dex based as well ...and being just able to wear only light armour = To ignore Dex and use Strength instead is then under such circumstances not beneficial at all (unless for multiclassing) but actually utter nonsense..
      And for skillchecks in conversations you´ll get buff bonuses from allies like Shadowheart which can give you + 2 buff for all skills which even also provides an extra second dice for the dice roll as well ...or you can just end the conversation before choosing the skill check option and let the one with the right skills do that conversation for you.
