Dave Smith :) I'm old school, I have tons of Exodus.That's why I want to hear what he's done.And even if he doesn't write on this slayer album he still wrote the solos he plays.
Anyone remember the song Skelton's of Society? One of the lines from that song is 'fragments of what use to be' and that perfectly sums up Slayer these days. It's a shame the two best parts of Slayer aren't in the band anymore. Side note: God Hates us All also came out on September 11. I remember watching the towers fall and then went and bought a Slayer album! The title seemed very appropriate that morning.
I'm glad Slayer is now under Nuclear Blast. American was doing Slayer no favors the past couple years. Rick Rubin had really overproduced and over compressed World Painted Blood and Christ Illusion. Terry Date is an amazing engineer and I have more respect for him than the engineers at American or Rick Rubin alone. Keep the albums coming! Fuckin Slayer!!! \,,/

Terry is a true master. His first product was Metal Church’s debut album. What a masterpiece. His legacy to metal is just phenomenal!
