Health insurance is very expensive and sometimes surgeries are not covered by even the best insurances. A lot of it is out of pocket and sometimes that’s just not possible for a lot of people to afford.
I only struggle to hear her because of MY dodgy ears 👂 😃 we would make a pair of great patient friends for sure and lots of laughs too I would bet on it.

My best friends cousin was just born and she is like this beautiful lady and I'm really worried for the baby even tho I haven't met her nor I think I ever will but she suddenly feels like a family and I'm searching on how I can help her and now when I see someone think of her as less fortunate , I feel sad .

I saw a 4 yr. old girl in 1987 or 88 when I was in residency at Children's Mercy Hospital. She had no lower jaw and thus no muscles of mastication. Her tongue was very rudimentary. Now this young lady has a similar situation and surgery was an option even if it was partially successful. Surgery was not an option for the child 34 years ago. I've often thought of her and hoped she lived.

Does anyone understand how hard it must have been for this young lady to learn to talk?? And yet she talks amazingly well💗💗 My daughter has mouth issues and drools a lot, slurrs her words, lisps and is deaf in one ear but was born deaf in both (she regained in one ear and no one knows why) and has be in speech therapy her whole life. YET my child still had it a lot easier to learn to speak than this young lady who literally has no bottom jaw to form words like we all.do. She is amazing! 💜💜💜

There has got to be a brilliant doctor out there somewhere with the technology to better help her. I can’t imagine how hard this was on the parents watching your beautiful little girl go through surgery after surgery without much improvement. I have issues with audio processing due to ADHD *and* mild hearing loss in one ear (due to a metal show lol), but I was still able to close my eyes off and on during this video and understand her! It's incredible that she's learned to speak so clearly given her physical challenges. She seems like a super cool lady. I'm really curious what she wants to do with her criminal justice degree, they should've asked about that. And I wanted to hear her sing! :D
There are some truly incredible people in this world... She is definitely one of them! I struggle with depression, when I watch these I feel really bad about that, I don't have anything to be depressed about.

I grew up on the same street as this girl, her, and her family are some of the sweetest kindest people on the planet! I still fondly remember her and her friends rollerblading down the huge hills like it was nothing, and getting to be a 'mentor's at girls camp her first year! How fun to see her all grown up!

Criminal justice, is more likely a criminology degree rather than a criminal law degree. She would be learning about how the criminal justice system impacts society with job outcomes in the justice system such as police and prison. But also jobs in the community that support people and prevent offending.

There is a clinic here in Brazil that is caller HRAC-USP that is specialized in surgical reconstruction of the face and mouth. They even treat kids with cleft palates for free. They are based in a city called Bauru, in the state of São Paulo. If someone is in need of treatment but can’t afford in the US maybe is a possibility. We have some public hospitals that offer free treatments ❤️

There are videos on this channel about two types of people: some trying to lead a normal life despite health difficulties (I always watch videos about these people, they are my motivators); other people disfigure themselves because they are bored of living their lives without the attention of everyone around (hook of the look), I don’t even open videos about these people.

Being born without a jaw would be terrible. But this girl is proud for who she really is. She can play Drums, Piano, guitar and even the xylophone. This girl got talent

There is a clinic here in Brazil that is caller HRAC-USP that is specialized in surgical reconstruction of the face and mouth. They even treat kids with cleft palates for free. They are based in a city called Bauru, in the state of São Paulo. If someone is in need of treatment but can’t afford in the US maybe is a possibility. We have some public hospitals that offer free treatments ❤️
This is different then a cleft palate. She has no joints where her jaw would be. You can't just create jaw bones, joints, muscle and veins.
I know she’s from Utah so there’s a possible giveaway but as a Mormon (from England) I can tell by those photos and how they’re dressed in them, that she was at least raised as one too. That might seem weird to say but if you’re Mormon (latter day saint) you’ll know what I mean😁
She is in my ward and played for us in sacrament this past Sunday. She is very talented.
