Damn this Denver squad was good. If their big men could've found a way to out-play LA's twin towers I think they'd have won this series. Even with Kobe getting his way. That and the bench play.
Nuggets were really really good after moving away from Allen Iverson they unlock them true selves low-key had a chance to win the title. Great defensive awareness ball movement great and an incredible star. If it wasn’t for Kobe we will be talking more mello very differently
Back then they were telling us that Jones was a very good defender, Billups is a big guard who knows how to defend, Martn and Anderson can double team fast. nothing worked.
In this game, Kobe's slow paced down the wire half court style didn't work against the energetic fairly young and talented Nuggets team and got blown-out. The bench with their ball movement got the Lakers back in the game. Denver not letting LA get away with it and Melo's hustle and hot shooting kept them on top until the 4th quarter, where nerves kick in, experience comes into play. Kobe's slow pace game starts to work and Denver's happy-go-lucky style kept turning the ball over. Lakers sealed the deal.
Nuggets being a much smaller team with a two 6'10 bigs had to play a faster pace game inorder to win. Lakers had a 7'1 pf and a 7'2 center with a 6'11 sf/pf. As the game got closed the bigger team (lakers ) won.
Your editing is fantastic!!!! Also, I believe that if the Rockets would have beat the Lakes this year in game 7, the Nuggets would have beaten the Rockets and went to the finals.
DAMN the difference between now and 10 years ago is almost as apparent as then to 10 years before that. Way less physical these days than 09, especially in the playoffs. Up until 5 years ago or so, certain plays that were fouls in the regular season wouldn’t be called in the playoffs, and seemed to be greater with each round. Nowadays every time someone falls there’s a foul. No matter what. Bodies could clash and no call. Not today. Damn
You dont really believe that do you? Alot of fouls got uncalled in the finals the last 3 years espically in the 4th. 09 was not a much physical era, lmfao thats sad
I come back and watch these playoffs all the time because of the mental nd physical play! And Kobe..come on..Carmelo..maan! Barely watch anymore! Today's game for soft prima donnas!
This was my favorite nugget teams bad boys 2.0! Sorry but this year Kobe was on a mission. The western conference was the real finals for me! Phil knows how to assemble and balanced team! Phil the goat coach.
@@TheIvoryKeys the Celtics were not a super team they won one nba title. They underachieved big time. They couldn't get past the magic in 09 & the lakers in 10. and they got swept by the heat in 2011 and lost to the heat again 2012. Allen, pierce, Garnett should have more then one ring.
Sumo Leonard Sure they underachieved (09 was injury) but 2008 was the first recent super team I can think of... when 3+ superstars decided to join a franchise. They werent a dynasty though they should have been, but I think they were a "super team".
THIS is the perfect example of how gritty and tough the Kobe led Lakers were, during that back to back run…..Denver outplayed the Lakers all game…but in crunch time, Kobe and the entire team made clutch plays….I miss this era and this Lakers squad….RIP KOBE
That 2009 Denver squad was a championship level team with the addition of Chauncy Billups to go with prime Melo. Kobe and the Lakers won this series and subsequently the title afterwards, but this WCF was a DOG FIGHT. Even tho the Lakers went 7 with Houston the previous round, I believe THIS was there toughest series.
Man the NBA has become super SAWFT in the last decade....forget about comparison of the players today with the 80's and the 90's era...the games were so chippy and scrappy then. Let's just give GOAT award the decade wise...LOL..ESPN won't have anything to discuss then.
By This moment JR were already flopped before Bron Bron’s Game 1 in 2018 Finals between Cavs and GSW Lol.😁😁 . Good job Kobe, Deserved for a FMVP for 2009
@9:46 Did Fisher just killed his teammate there by cutting him mid jump? Who is that? The thud his fall made was loud. I swear i thought he died. Thats an awkward fall. Even the fans sideline reaction was on point
please do more of the 2009 & 2010 lakers playoff runs, i really wanna reminisce and your quality is unparalleled
Wizard101 is better than FortNite fuck outta here
Rip Kobe Bryant 💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💔😢🕊️👼🏽🙏🏽
Hf
One the most hard fought game i ever witnessed
Best editor on youtube hands down

Chauncey really went 0-5 from 3 then hit 2 big ones in the clutch lmaoo mr.big shot for a reason
Oo is not the same way of

That Nugget squad was legit. Shame they didn't have any defender against Kobe
Back then they were telling us that Jones was a very good defender, Billups is a big guard who knows how to defend, Martn and Anderson can double team fast. nothing worked.
I miss you KOBE😢
This series was the finals that year.
Billups underrated
One of the best team ever assembled by nuggets

Welcome back King gearmast3r! :)

5:22 Melos shooting form is just pure porn. Wow.
Back when Melo was beast!
Kobe is a g. Damn
R. I. P kobe. 🐐
U feel the Intensity even after 13 years...
im a laker fan and said damn chauncey billups was ballin
Mr. Big shot
I miss you kobe😢
23:17 that shot from billups was cold rather he stepped out of bounds or not.
Lebron woulda missed those free throws
2024 anyone?
I just have a feeling that old NBA was better than now. Game feels totally different
both teams play tough defense and great offense.
That block by Kenyon Martin!
damn bro nene was really athletic back in the day
how come EVERYBODY use to get busy when they played Kobe !? 😂😂😂
RIP Kobe man !!!!!! 💜💛
Whoa Kobe.
HOPE TOU ARE HERE
9:27 Marting block!
This melo we want
way back when nobody could guard Antony
Thank you !
#STAYME7O
Was worried this channel had died
I just want to share, in this time, Steph Curry is not drafted yet.
Kobe's dominant..especially when you don't see all the shots he missed.
Very dominant. Its actually a little disturbing how good he was in this game.
kobe doesnt care about his fg% hes all about attacking them, hes letting them know what hes all about, and thats the WIN.
6 clutch free throws to seal the game and the winning rebound. You OCD stat nerds can go cry about fg% elsewhere
Someone needs to score 70 this season
Kobe 4 ever lodi
when melo at his prime
Thanks~~
mamba😭
31,10,8
Man i missed this prime melo.
❤️❤️
): ending calls were bogus
another good example that its always rigged to favor the big market teams. Lakers vs. Kings, Lakers vs. Trailblazers
Anjn na pla si jokic

Was so happy to see Kobe absolutely destroy that dirty player Dante Jones in this series. Also took JR Smith to school.
Itzel Dhantay was fucking dirty and should have flagrant in many occasions but kobe destroyed him anyways.
This was my favorite nugget teams bad boys 2.0!
Sorry but this year Kobe was on a mission. The western conference was the real finals for me! Phil knows how to assemble and balanced team! Phil the goat coach.
Melo was a beast back then. Defenitely one of the greatest pure scorer to ever play the game. #StayMe7o
But he's talent not for championship caliber
2006-2013 melo was a great player but not a top 5 player
@@Liam-ex4mf he definitely was top 5 in the 12-13 season and 13-14 season
The NBA was so much better back then. No superteam bs. The talent was well spread out
minus the Celtics I guess
Celtics was Super Team that time
Ian McGregor celtics built it through trades, Kevin McHale gave kg away to the celtics.

This Laker team win 65 games that year. A well balanced team.
6 big time clutch free throws from kobe to seal the deal. Then gets the rebound at the end. Such a winner
Got payback on Chauncey that series. Go Lakers :)
R.I.P KOBE 😓
D Fish was always a hidden gem. Derek "the 0.4" Fisher
Who’s here after the clippers choked lol
Only you
Melo and Kobe just having fun the whole game, pure bucket for bucket show
After 10 yrs 💜💛 Lakers to finals
Man, your highlights is always a joy to watch. Even more when it comes to this Lakers team! Props to you!
I miss Kobe so much 🐍🖤💔😢 best team Lakers 4Life.......💜🐍💛
prime melo was fucking MONEY prettiest jumper i ever seen him or curry
lakers vs denver 2009 now 2020 wowowo
I'm really not trying to be biased here. But I just feel this era's basketball is more aesthetically enjoyable than nowadays.
how come EVERYBODY use to get busy when they played Kobe !? 😂😂😂
RIP Kobe man !!!!!! 💜💛
Any of this team would’ve beaten any team that came out the east. The way this guys competed
That 09 Laker team is so fun to watch, arguably the best Kobe ever
Who knew they’d face each other again this year
Back when JR knew the score
Shit makes me feel old (29)
me too (29)
cool 38 points just the goat
Another match up in 2020
And it is the fourth meeting in the matchup now. Also, now it will be Wise King James took it.
Melo had 39 on 14-20. He should shot more. Hate when players end games shooting a super high % but lose.
These playoff games had u constantly on the edge of your seat, such great moments/games . rip mamba
So sorry for melo as he lost the chance to win a ring that year and yet thankful as kobe got his 4th
See,Jr Smith should have been at the line instead of hill,oh what am I saying, they're doomed either way.lol
Jr should retire at that time
At 25?

Brooks Hackney YES!
beautiful shot Anthony

6:18 farmer should be in travel violation
He is not a farmer he is basketball Player.
bynum was a beast
@9:46 Did Fisher just killed his teammate there by cutting him mid jump? Who is that? The thud his fall made was loud. I swear i thought he died. Thats an awkward fall. Even the fans sideline reaction was on point
They did all that for nothing
Really hope MPJ will be the next Nuggets superstar. I how he will surpass Gallinari & Melo at one point.
Good video
Jr smith haha he is trying to not shoot the ball to het points but kobe is there haha
History repeat again, if Denver won in Tuesday night.
i dont know how denver lost that game,21:12 was not foul..
Kobe :-(
Damn denver melo so smooth!
2:49 is that Jokic? LMAO
Prime Me7o
Nene is still in the league
