At that time she obviously wasn't as experienced as Mr. B even though she was a folk singer in the beginning of her career. You could see he was helping her out throughout the number.
He was great but she didn't need singing lessons. Notice how usually when she would do duets she would look at the other singer to be in sync with them?
Much has been said about her love of duets. I would freak out if she did that eye locking harmony technique thing on me. Emmy lou does that too. Did Billy Eckstine freak out? Because there are moments where he kinda stops projecting.
Both have their individual style of singing. Linda was just starting out. I bet he was more than happy to sing with her. God bless Linda and Greetings from Ireland.
Eckstine is the very definition of a cool cat. Sublime.
Great performers indeed! Billy's rich, velvety baritone is truly outstanding!!
Had no idea that Lovely Linda appeared with the smooth Billy Eckstine--what a great combo
Linda sang with many greats.
I'd say the teacher is teaching the student and the student is teaching the teacher. Both amazing singers!
@ Flemingcourt , Totally agree 👍
My favorite male singer alongside my favorite female everything - it doesn’t get better than that 😍
WOW THE GREAT YOUNG LINDA RONSTADT WITH THE GREAT MR B, BILLY ECKSTINE.
What a treat! Two of the all-time great voices in pop music together, and making beautiful music no doubt!
Divine young Linda. She grew up in front of our eyes and ears. Very special singer.
Phew! Powerful! Eckstine - Fantastic - Ronstadt - always stretching and learning -beautiful!
What a find! Linda is so young but already has that tear in her voice. Her sound really is all her own. Sing it Baby girl indeed.
And what could Ms. Ronstadt not sing?! Here she even does a fine Billie Holliday, with a Linda Ronstadt flair.
Mr. B was one of the greats..........
Precious young thing. Linda is in a league of her own. Even here, so youthful she sings like a dreamer, lover and star. Bless her heart.
Thank you for uploading this. You are a musical archaeologist!
This stuff is SO priceless. Lovely.
2024 anyone?
Oh god I love this! :)
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From a mad keen 76yo Aussie fan.

She sounds so different with this duet. Lucky Linda to sing with Mr. Eckstine.
happy Birthday to a singer who was born to SING!
Young Linda! Gorgeous voice and cool vibe. Just getting started.
Even at that advanced aged, "B" still had it...No wonder the ladies loved him...
great Danny, thanx a lot!
Vozes maravilhosas!!!
wow!
Did it, jammin at the Playboy Club
How can we ever forget BILLY ECKSTEIN? Linda wasn't bad, either.
WOW,,
Hooda Thunk

@renats29 Yes, you are right.
somehow, very moving together...
He was great but she didn't need singing lessons. Notice how usually when she would do duets she would look at the other singer to be in sync with them?
Can anyone tell me what this girl couldn't sing.
Where was this?
Playboy Penthouse.
Much has been said about her love of duets. I would freak out if she did that eye locking harmony technique thing on me. Emmy lou does that too. Did Billy Eckstine freak out? Because there are moments where he kinda stops projecting.
For ME while I can enjoy each individually, these two talents just do not mix well. He's naturally bluesy; she's out of her element.
Her voice sounds a bit thin next to his
Quite!
Both have their individual style of singing. Linda was just starting out. I bet he was more than happy to sing with her. God bless Linda and Greetings from Ireland.
Linda was never out of her element.
Linda way out of her league
She is totally keeping up, and at some moments shining brighter.
Playboy Mansion, sorry
.LINDA RONDSTADT voice not suited to that song. She a good singer. But here she out of her league.
She was very young here. For her age I say she's OK. Not great but OK.
She must be feeling a little overwhelmed. I know I would be (assuming I could sing, which I can't).
Hey, watch it!
Im sure it was mr. Eckstein who requested to sing with this amazingly gifted girl.
