Been listening to this jam nonstop and it got me thinking...Jose Chamleone deserves a medal...if Afrigo Band can be awarded medals by the President...and the Kabaka too recognized their services in the area of entertainment...then it's baffling why Chamleone has never been accorded the same treatment. This is someone who literally gave "birth" to today's secular music!! If it wasn't for Jose then there wldnt be the likes of Geo Steady, Shebba, Yk benda, Fik Farmacia, Gdlyfe Crew, etc etc. And here is his legendary status: Despite the emergence of "new blood" onto the music scene, Geo Steady and all, Chamilli is still around churning out songs and holding huge concerts. He is still relevant 20yrs and counting. Now that is amazing. That is legendary. Yes Chamili has his demons...he's a very infuriating character if you don't know him... But that's how legends be my dear! God can't give you everything. Look at Mariah, Diddy, 2face, Koko Master, Koffi Olomide...legends but with deeply flawed characters. Loveable but complicated. Sooo when I read that Jose beat up a journalist at a singer's wedding...that doesn't surprise me at all. That's how legends roll...start a fight in the club cause the waiter was "disrespectful"...shoot up the whole club causing a death...next day they have a hit accompanied with an apology for starting a fight. Flawed genius. I think I should end here. Had lots to say but I gat to replay the mateeka jam again...and again....and agaaaa...
