Have skied in Austria once as a child. Always assumed it was covered with snow, or people would only go there to ski. You made me realise a new world of hiking in the Alps exists.
Abbie you take things to a whole new level. Thank you ❤

I have skied in Austria for over 20 years, and love the mountains. I watch all your videos of Lake District walks. I'm fortunate to be able to get to the lakes every month for a few days. I'm a sole walker too, but not sure I would have the confidence to walk in the Alps . Keep walking and making more videos I love them all you're an inspiration to all sole women walkers tha k you.. xxxx

I was once told by Austrians that the times on the signs are those of an Austrian pensioner/senior citizen walking the route in a normal tempo. I always walk the routes faster then the times given on the signs. Looks good tho, was supposed to do the Otztal valley this year but changed it to the HRP, in the Pyrenees.

Thanks so much for taking us through the Austrian Alps, Abbie. Never seen them before. So beautiful.

Wow Abbie that looked so beautiful 🌼 I love forests and mountains but I get too scared alone. I grew up beside a forest but would never go there alone. I tried once with my dog and sprinted back after I got scared not far in 🙈 I really admire the fact you just go do it 🌼 I do get to go with family but it must be fab to enjoy it alone 🌼 thanks so much for sharing your journey 🌼💗🌼

My goodness you can walk some! Well done doing it solo too. Breathtaking views and a beautiful experience all round. So nice to see the detail and hear the sounds. Great to have your after thoughts edited on . I wondered how long unexpected museum would survive in the UK. Bilberries are a bonus yet I know some shun the idea of taking advantage of Nature’s bounty due to fear. Gorgeous hike you took us all on Abbie. Thanks. Happy travels!

I was in this area in 2019, I go from city kuhtai to Sulzkogel 3016m peak, and one year later I go again from Kuhtai to Pirchkogel 2828m peak. Very nice area. ;) Chears

11:58 those would have been used for shifting through what was mined to separate the ore from ordinary rock

Interesting to see, thanks Abbie 👌 I completely understand why you're being drawn to European walking - it's a larger playground in just about every way! (the thought of bears scares me tho 😱). Just loved your and Anna's Malerweg journey.
I'm wondering how natural or unnatural this environment is ?
I've come to realise just how desolate many landscapes have become when intensive farming kills most of the vegetation and trees and erosion does the rest. (Duncan Halley and Alan Watson Featherstone have made some enlightening presentations about it)

Wetterkreuz - your pronunciation is totally wrong, it should be Wetterkroits (eu=oi, z=ts); you should learn some Deutsch for hiking in German-speaking countries and in the Alps (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and so on) 😁
