Love any quality product made in North America. I’ll pay double for anything made here vs anywhere else in the world.

I remember when my dad worked at QA1, but that was back in the 1990s when Jim was just starting out.

Nice video to get a peek inside. I can't see why 2 out of three shocks leak. I kinda expected more. 😕 kit that qa1 rep suggested came with springs that are too light 450 when it should have 600-700. Customer service is quick to respond but I'm still stuck with two shocks that leak right after instal and still to this day months later. 😪

We are sorry to hear this happened. It is not uncommon for the shocks to have a little excess oil out of the box. But if they are still leaking after some miles being put on, they may need to be looked at. Please call our tech team and they will be happy to assist you. We also have authorized rebuilders throughout the country. www.QA1.net/find-a-dealer Our tech team can be reached at 952-985-5675 M-F 8am-5pm CST.

I asked them to make me a custom length strut. Said they couldn’t do it. Recommended me to companies that wouldn’t do it either.

While we are able to make custom length shocks depending on specs and application, we are unable to make a custom length strut at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and hopefully we can offer something like this in the future.

Sorry if you misunderstood the title. The title of the video is How It's Made meaning we walked you through our CNC machining processes for building our shocks, not going into full detail of how we make our shocks. Can't give away all of our trade secrets. 😊
