Zahir Abbas ! was shining 🌟 batsman in 70's in world Cricket and use to dominate on opposition bowling attack, and a very decent person too. One thing is very unique about him, he use to talk less and perform great !

I respectfully disagree with this choice. A gem is someone who plays when the country needs him and Zaheer Abbas never did that (may be when he was a captain) and knew he will be retired soon.
@@shamslot no squabbles Sir just being inquisitive was he treated appreciatively enough in his last days of playing by co players and management . Also think those days there're not too much earning propositions like today's league cricket so options were left likes of County Cricket . Just my deductions.... Stay well Sir 🙏 from India
I agree that he may have been treated badly and that is so sad. I wish we learn to respect our achievers. Zhaeer is a wonderful soft spoken person but I just do not recall that he was consistent in playing. Had he tried to stay at the wicket witjh Javed and Imran the percentage ratio of Pak winning test matches would have been much higher. Often Zaheer was impatient and continue to play unneeeded shots and got out. This Style continues in our today young batsman. So I do think the legend has set-up bad cricket rules for yournger generation to folow. On the other hand, Sunil is always rememeber for his wisdoem on the crease and played his game according to the situation. They say," like father like son" and that is what we are currently facing-a bad tradition set by players to play only for themselfves

Bhaktiyar khan gave his name to his 1st son who later became one of the great fast bowler played for India ( Zaheer Khan)
As a kid I saw him terrorising Indian bowling.
A batsman who scored 50,100 or double hundred in 2nd inning,in tense situation like to win the match or to avoid defeat is called Good batsman like Hanif MuhammadJ.Miandad & Inzemam.Zaheer is not among them, you can check records when & in which situation he scored double century.

Great batsman from the golden era of cricket. Paxtan was a very strong team then. The credit goes to the fact that most of their players played county cricket in England. I don't remember any Indian player to have played in English county cricket. Our players came from Ranji Trophy and other local leagues.
