I think Jord hit the nail on the head immediately, change breeds anxiety. But looking deeper into the development process and the fact that the existing lore still stands means that regardless of the perceived changes from the initial trailer, this is STILL Little Nightmares, through and through
I'm definitely not worried, I have a lot of faith from the developers, and the direction they are going in is different but interesting(in a good way) in my opinion. I do like the new visuals as well.
I think it should. If they didn't want to connect them, they wouldn't have made it the third game, rather a dlc or spinoff. Similar to the outlast series, they aren't in the same settings and have completely different stories, but the second one still has many connections to the first one. @@Quoew51
All the levels in LN3 seem to have different colour palettes. The Necropolis is orange, the fun fair is blue, and the factory is green. I don’t really know why people are only focusing on the Necropolis and acting like the entire game has that setting and colour, it’s not being fair towards the game. You never saw people judge LN1 with only the prison level, or ln2 with the wilderness. The Necropolis may not be too scary, but it is the first level meant to introduce the player to what they should expect going forward with the game. Hopefully in the future people won’t be so harsh and not do slight research about the game just cause Tarsiers name isn’t on it.
The only real aspect of LN 3 I have been hesitant about is the characters being able to carry and use complicated tools for the entire game or atleast for long periods of time. i think it would have been much better if only one of them could carry around and switch out their tool to carry around for as long as they want through the game. and then the other could just pick up a tool as they find it and use it even if it’s complicated. this could be looked at as the characters special ability like how mono could carry the keys around because of his trench coat. i think this would have made the gameplay much more familiar and interesting and picking what character to be and maybe even switching between characters could have been a more thought out feature.
Dont know why a lot of people think we’re returning to the maw for the 3rd game, i don’t see how it would benefit or connect the stories together other than just for the sake of nostalgia.
I think we will come back to the maw. In the steam page, in one of the screenshots, you can see one place that is from the maw. There even is a nome next to them
The fact it's a brand new studio is really making me worried if the third game will be able to live up to the two last games, i really wish Tarsier was still in charge of the series they started
And delays are sometimes good, cause that means that game will be more finished and with no errors, bug or glitches, a rush game is no good, we don't want LN III to be the next FNAF: Security Breach, wich was a game that was rushed and well, it had bugs and glitches, and also the new Pokemon: Crimson and Violet wich also had A LOT of errors, bugs and glitches of all kinds, wich was a bummer honestly, cause pokemon's such a cool game saga that I love
@@hamakochan375kj Sorry, that comment was just me in the moment, there probably will be a delay seeing as the game isnt actually that far yet. I don't see it releasing in 2024, at least not early or in the middle of the year.
Theres just one thing that im really worried about, idk if you heard about it,but it seems like Tobias lilja isn't the one making the soundtrack for little nightmares, I've seen multiple posts about people asking him and he always replied that he only worked a little on the game that being the trailer soundtrack and the sounds of nightmares theme, that has me real worried because his music is SO iconic for this franchise
Ya it's a real bummer. The music for the games (especially the second one) is absolutely phenomenal. Hopefully whoever is involved will be able to create music that is on par with what is expected from the franchise.
From the small amounts of the music I've heard from the game, in my opinion at least, you have nothing to worry about if your concern is if the music will be as good as the last two games. A few bits of the OST I've heard are really similar to Tobias Lilja if not made by him. Especially the little jingle that plays when Low and Alone find the umbrellas in the demo gameplay, I think it's really charming and fits little nightmares perfectly IMO
@@TiredMammal I know this is very specific but I'm worried about the combat and chase music, those tracks much more faster paced,we didn't get to listen to anything like that besides the beetle fight track, which I found to be good but nothing special ik but maybe the music for the big bosses will be more unique
No no no no no no you can't be serious she gave me a big description of how he does those sounds as one of my teachers was friends with him and I got to ask the question I have always been wondering
No, Supermassive has worked on many horrorgames, and they made the enhanced edition for ln2. I think they know enough to work on it and tarsier didnt just tell them "you can work on it, super!" So I'm not concerned. Only thing I'm concerned about is if I can survive the waiting for the release lol.
I get why people are worried, and I agree with everything you said! In fact, I have already fell in love with Low and Alone. I really need a demo or new trailer!
Hey jord long time no chat 😂 , love too see little Nightmares content, I can’t wait for it 😊 I didn’t know you ran the ln Reddit good to know it’s in safe secure hands
This video made me really happy and made me very reassured about LN3 I am one of the people who was concerned about it but I just wanna say thanks Jord!!!!!! :)
I also think people are more worried LN3 will feel like a complete reboot. Heavily doubt it. If it were to just be completely following a new arc, they wouldn’t reference the first games, imply it as a sequel and let’s be honest, LN2 felt like less of an end point and more of a launching point to a bigger picture, leaving the idea of LN being less of a vague story telling like Limbo and Inside and more of its own on going story. Mcu had Ironman, Captain America and Thor, but eventually told the story of a completely different set of characters that’ll lead up meeting the ogs
glad you made this video cause i was a little concerned but you making this video has put all my concerns away and i am currently waiting on a release date, also how long do you think its gonna be? i would like it to be a longer game but i put all my faith in the developers and i agree with you, if we fell in love with the runaway kid and mono, then we will definitely fall in love with low and alone and we will probably cry when alone is left "alone" lol
Yea same thoughts. and i think even the necropolis has a lot of that dark feeling of the first 2 games its not a bright yellow but a dark dusty filled environment, like in the trailer when low and alone are using the umbrella it looks like a really lukewarm light dusty dark yellow reminding you you're still progressing through that dark twisted tragic world that little nightmares is known for. You can always visually see its the same dark messed up world. And fortunately the majority knows that the game isn't just going to be based off on the necropolis but with many different chapters & places which are much darker have those vibes of the first 2 games as we know from some scenes in the trailer and screenshots.
I'm not worried. I've played every possible installment, and I always said I don't care how they do LN3. As long as it's little nightmares, I'm totally happy. I think the Necropolis is a cool idea. The screen shots show that we still have dark areas like 1 and 2. I'm also not worried about Supermassive cause they were involved in Little nightmares 2. Can't wait to hear the new soundtrack and see new residents (monsters)
I think the problematic thing feels same as was, and is, when comparing *Amnesia 1* and *2* . I purchased *Amnesia 2* as a pre-order, thinking that it was just a "color palette change". The change was much much more. *The Bunker* returned to the previous style a bit and it was good.
I’m not worried at all, I LOVE the change in the color palette, don’t get me wrong, I love the cold blues and all that, but I love the change of tones. I also like the change of characters, The style, etc etc. I’m still glad they kept the fighting mechanic (Idk if they’re still keeping it, but I think they might?). But overall, looking at the gameplay looks SPECTACULAR! One thing I find off is how it looks stop motion-y like at some parts? But then again, It’s a gameplay video, so nothings gonna be perfect until the game releases. But overall, REALLY excited for this game!
Personally from the trailer game looks great stages looked really different and vast so i thought its a great turn for the series. New studio is doing an amazing job in carrying on this franchise
Just looking at the trailer and demo for Little Nightmares 3, I’m fully confident in saying it feels no different from the first two games! I can’t sing the praises of Supermassive Games enough for how faithful they’re being to Tarsier’s IP. I can’t wait to play this!
As much as I miss Mono and Six and I'm sure everyone else does too, Alone and Low remind me a lot of them and I wonder where these children keep coming from 😂. Jokes aside my excitement for this game will never be stop and I hope it will be as scary and amazing as all the other Little nightmares games were before it. I should go and watch the sounds of littlle nightmares now because I keep forgetting to😅 Thanks you for making this video Jord! I enjoyed it
when the last devs made LN2 and said thats their last i was so sad but when i got a notification from YT about LN3 i was shocked and the game looks so amazing and they are a good dev company but i am more than excited for this new game!!!!!
People who care about the color 1: that’s bizarre who cares? 2: little nightmares has used warm tone often. A lot of the kitchen and guest areas of the first game were yellow or orange, the school had a fairly warm tint in a lot of places. Grow up and enjoy the new world that is being generously created for us.
Ikr? Like people barely look into the game and ignore that the Necropolis is just the first chapter. They just assume that the entire game is like that, probably cause the cover art is also mostly orange. It doesn't even look bad in game, the Necropolis actually looks fantastic!
The yellow suits the hole theme I think Since we start off in an desert! Which sandstorms can blur version in a “yellowish way” Maybe the lighting will change as we explore different area! Also blue is an gloomy colour and I can understand people stress but… Yellow represents hope. There’s hope for the new characters as it seems like they have an good relationship! (They where holding hands in the realise trailer poster) Unlike mono and six- (R.I.P what happened there) Off topic but I hope that one of them DOESNT ends up dying or the other one stays by the one that is dead for ETERNITY BECAUSE I HAVE AN BAD FEELING THAT THIS RELATIONSHIP IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
first of all, the color of a horror game can completely change the atmosphere and setting of it.. thats why people care.. and secondly, the school and the kitchen from the 1st and 2nd games are only "warm" because the lights are on, whereas in this game it's bright because theyre literally outside and the suns about to set. im not that worried at all because in the trailer its mostly dark, and they clearly show them running around at night time in the rain. but those are definitely genuine concerns. the only thing im slightly concerned about is the giant baby, but im pretty sure the baby is not the main villain.
@@Rockyoshii of course the color Can change the atmosphere. That wasn’t my point. My point was Who cares if they want to play with a different atmosphere? Variety is important and this game’s atmosphere looks just as good. Also you need not worry about the baby, I’m fairly certain it is the very first main boss. Also the orange location is also the first chapter.
When the original creators are no longer a part of their project, I am always nervous. Feel like the vision gets lost and its just replaced by things that somewhat look like the first 2 games
Can't believe you didn't mention the MASSIVE retcon of the entire Little Nightmares universe taking place in some dream dimension. That is something I genuinely despise, with how much I loved the worldbuilding of Little Nightmares. I think I know why they did it, probably cause its a new company, and they don't exactly know the lore so their doing this to have more control over it. I'm glad they have made it clear that this is an actual place, and not just a dream, but I still hate it, it cheapens so much of the worldbuilding that has come before if its just some weird alternate reality dreamscape.
this isn't a retcom lmfao, if you look at interviews from LN1 they always stated this, even with the whole description from six in LN1: "Six wakes up in a world she can't recognize" It was always there 🤷♂
The concept of The Nowhere has existed for most of Little Nightmares' existence. It has been hinted at multiple times through descriptions and interviews from the first and second. It just never made sense until now. The only difference with the 3rd game is that it gave the world of Little Nightmares a name, nothing else about the story has changed from what we know of currently. The games taking place in a world that transports your physical body into another one through dreams does not break the atmosphere or story telling of the games in my opinion. It feels different yes, but it is logical that more of the lore would get revealed as the series went on, it was just a matter of when that would happen. Also Tarsier did leave their "lore bible" with Bandi Namco incase they wanted to continue making Little Nightmares games, so it is most likely that Supermassive is using that to help develop the 3rd game. I can see where you are coming from and can agree to an extent, but I think it's best to wait until the game comes out to see how this is all handled.
@@cookies_and_mustard6414 I disagree that it has it been hinted at, the only thing that slightly resembles it in my opinion is the waking up animation when you die in the previous games (which could just be a cute wake up animation) and the title of the game, bit it originally was not supposed to be called Little Nightmares. I also disagree it was planned from the start, if it was, it probaly would have been more clearly mentioned in the first game, (since there was only supposed to be one game) or tasier would have cleared it up like they have done with other lore misconceptions. (If they cleared up Six not being related to the Lady, they would have cleared up something as big at this.) Still, it's not the worst change, and a majority of the Little Nightmares fans seem happy with it, and I'm happy for them, I know I'm in the minority here. Still exited for the game though.
I mean I'm more enthusiastic yet cautious, people who say supermassive games develop the enhanced version. They didn't design the game from ground up h, just made it look better with the the performanc/, if they handle the dlc than yeah but. Lil nightmare 3 is all them & there interpretation even when they that the lore Bible, they decide what to add and cut. I'm giving it an chance however this is an new slate. Of course I ma compare it with the others. . . I don't need it to look the same of course that's an given, It's thee story and how obsessed I can become with theories, how chilling the atmosphere makes me feels. Change is welcome I'm not afraid of that, however it opend the door to that object being less grasping than the original or surpassing the original or even alright. . I'll just have to see for myself. But I'm not worried just cautious just like not all changes are bad, not all of em are good, this is simply all things In Life
people are worried because Supermassive Games have a poor track record. they only have one standout hit to their name, Until Dawn, and everything else has been either mediocre or outright bad. their Dark Pictures anthology is enjoyable schlock, but that's all it is, it hardly even comes close to Little Nightmares. Supermassive Games are bad at writing in general, but they're especially incompetent at nuance and subtlety - two things that set Little Nightmares apart from other horror franchises. then there's the fact that LN3 is supposed to be a co-op game, which is antithetical to horror. so, yeah… I'm worried.
I do have concerns about the new look but it’s because in one of my favorite games (ShadowHearts for the Ps2), the sequels completely changed the look and the feel of the game. The gritty occult feel was tossed and everything was smooth and less….im not sure of the word but it just felt like something was missing.
I think it looks amazing It may not be colorful dark, like the otber games, but its still very grim. This grimness still holds the heart of the Little Nightmares universe
For some reason even if its not a blue environement, it still has the same vibes. I think they wanted to make it different by making each chapter a fully different land, a blue one like LN1 and 2, a desert like level like the necropolis, a glacial level? A greenish level? Oh and six does come back in this game, not as a friendly character tho, maybe 10:10 Maybe they could fix the comic issue with that? Even if coop extinguish the fear. Many horror games with coop are fun to play togheter, The only thing is, a monster like the janitor would take more than 20 tiny man arrows to defeat, soo you can just fight back to tiny ennemies, and tiny ennemies are not that comon in little nightmares
i feel like the new team wants us to understand that the worlds behind these awesome games are just that diverse. In the Sounds of Nightmares, quite a lot of situations and places (like the mall in the middle of the desert) seem to be out of place when you compare it to what we know the universe for, that being gloomy and menacing. The ambiance will be different if the kids reappear in another world, and having several worlds to explore in an adventure-puzzle game is a good thing to me. I think that the new team knows what they are doing and wants to us to understand that the world of the games is not limited at what we already know. They keep it similar but different enough to make it interesting.
Could Otto be a version of the Thin Man, using frequency to reach people and places? Could Noone, patient Six, become Six and know that Otto is Mono and this is why she betrays him and lets go of him?
Jord amazing video like always. And yes i am not worried about LN3 because i know super massive games got this 100%. And bye the way love the danny pillow.😂
well I mean when I was at gamecom the trailer was put on and even bevore the end I noticed this was little nightmares so the art style is similar to me and Im confident that supermassive games will do well as they already did the enhanced version of Little nightmares 2 so their not unfarmiliar with this style tho if you can preorder the game I will not do that I will buy it when it releases! and Bandai wont choose supermassive games for no reason they know what their doing so Im confident itl be good.
I’m a person that doesn’t like change however I’d rather have this happen than Tasier not have anything happen. I’m super excited to see what they come out with.
I think it’ll be a great game, but I know it won’t be better than the second game, the second game holds a special place in my heart and I love the characters in it, especially Six, and I’m sad that most likely we won’t ever see Six again
One thing i'm confused on is if 1 character dies will the other die too? This question has been bugging me for a LONG time. Also, if you're playing multiplayer considering the 2 characters have equal jobs how would the AI do that?! It would have to be EXTREMELY smart!
Not worried at all. I think we’ll see everyone eventually when they decide to end the series. They seem to be telling a story from the end and working backwards. A world with more color makes sense in this game because LM2 showed a city after these events. We’re literally seeing how every previous game came to be. Eventually, we’ll get a game where they’re all together, strategizing about their individual paths to escape and navigating their way out of their individual prisons and to freedom into their individual games. I’ve had this theory since the release of LM2 and I hope it holds. I have so many questions.
I am pleased to hear that even a fanbase about a "dreamworld" game cares so deeply about the lore. I always worry that people will give up on lore and let developers say and do whatever they want. I think they do need a little freedom for the occasional retcon here and there, but some take it a little to far.
Fans may like to be reminded that the original group, in possess of what logically would be intended lore and only approved vision, axed away all the first batch of comics more or less in time with the mobile game. But they were the autors so no one said a thing. These in charge of LN3 showed so much *appreciation* for all that went made that they're bringing back parted of the axed lore and content. And sincerely, am more interested about the radio silence this team went in, along with Tarsier Studio and Section 9 in this order(many others could fit in here but we're not talking LN related at this point).
My main concern is the six and mono won't be in this game part. Mainly the six part. Six, whether you like it or not is the mascot of this series. A little nightmares game without six is like a transformers movie without Optimus prime (it just doesn't work). Now im not saying im against the new changes. In fact i think it's time we move away from the raincoat tetralogy. But we need an end. The last time we saw six, she was at the top of the maw contemplating life, and the last we saw of mono he escaped the loop, or more accurately, we see the thin man appear by the end of the dlc for the first game (which is neat because it sets up the second game, and with the context for the second game. Sets up the conclusion to the story) but thats the problem. There was no conclusion. This is a unfinished story. I love what super massive doing here. But if traisier isn't going to. Then it's up to them to finish what they started.
Ive waited so desperadly for this game but when I saw the trailer ive stated to get sceptical. It all looks a bit over designed to me and I fear that they will take the francise and just make something new out of it. Little nightmares 1&2 had such a deep world building and lore, whithout even saying one thing. The way the games told thier story passive, with this insane amount and detail and care for the world made a special atmosphere which you wont find anywhere else. Id wish they were just continuing it on how it is rather than making something new
i am not worried about the Little Nightmares 3 the story, graphics, characters really great. But i am only worried about the Low and Alone that their fate, we know not all kids have good endings mostly bad. I hope Low and Alone will alive and have a good ending. I really love the characters !!
While I have a lot of faith in supermassive games making this game and I think they're the perfect studio for the job, that isn't called tarsier, I'm slightly worried about how the single player experience of the game will work. I'm worried the focus on co-op could harm the single player experience and the fact that we haven't been given ant specifics on how the single player mode will work is concerning. The 2 main options I can see is that a single player playthrough would either involve the player switching between the 2 characters at will or having the player pick one at the beginning of the game and have to stick with them, which would require multiple play throughs to see the entirety of the game, but we have no idea how this is going to work and it surprises me that no ones really talking about it.
I'm worried because those new developers might not be as genius and as passionate as the old developers sometimes new developers just want to ride on others success it also might not connect well or make sense with very little nightmares little nightmares 2 and little nightmares 1, so yeah I have my doubts
Animation for this game has been a huge concern for me, when they shot down the crate in the gameplay trailer I actually laughed a little because it was so bad
I dont think its gonna be a bad game. From what we have seen tho its aleready not a good little nightmares game. Pretty much most the things that made me love the other games feel like they are just gone(im NOT talking about the filter, tho im also not a big fan of it). Im exited to play it, but i just think the style is gone.
@@322xqcl First of, in Case i didnt make that clear, nothing Looks Bad. I Just dont think it Looks Like a propper little nightmares game anymore. The shapes scenery and Charackter Designs Just Look way more saturated and also dont share that Kind of 1920-40 era Style. The pacing and ofc, color pallete has changed pretty drasticly. Im also Not a big Fan of the Puzzle Design we have Seen so far(more in Terms of it Not Feeling Like little nightmares'es Kind of Level structure). Also the Main Charakters Look more Like Fan oc's Than Something id ever See in an official Release. And finally Theres the Baby... I hate the Baby with a passion tbh. I think it goes completly against the Style of every other enemy we have Seen so far. I would probably have No Problem If the Baby was in the later Levels, since turning Up the weirdness the longer the game goes on can be very rewarding and satisfying, as it feels Like you going deeper and deeper into the Madness(Dan Bull reference). There are ofc Things i do Like. The Sound Design is as amazing as Always, and the new Composer is doing a fantastic Job at imitating the Style of Tobias(probably cuz of the fact Tobias is literaly helping him). Sound effects are also top noch. Overall i am sad to See my Favorite game series ever, Drift into an direction i dont Like as much as the old one, but i am realy exited to Play this with my friend. I Hope im Not comming across as Just being negative for the Sake of it.
One issue I've had so far is how disconnected they're wanting LN3 to be from the other games. The main draw for most people is the atmosphere but also the story and characters within the story, just dropping us in a mostly unrelated world with totally new characters just won't feel right. Even with 2 where you play as Mono you spend most of the game with Six and are able to bond to Mono while also knowing he is important to events you have already experienced. Until the game is out and we see its moments and ending then we have no clue if anything we'll be doing will be a progression or adding context to what we already care about, being Six's story. And that just rubs me the wrong way to waste time on something which won't matter. I understand the point of new fans and the like, but Little Nightmares is a series that is defined by its moments, it isn't like many other games where the main sell is some amazing gameplay, so the people interested are interested in the story first things first. So what I've seen in the wake of LN3s announcement is waves of new people quickly picking up and enjoying the first 2 games, so they end up in the same boat as the already existing fans of already knowing the story and characters, and it just makes the whole act of divorcing the games to an extent pointless.
Of course you can play the game without paying online, if you dont have a online subscription lol. Like any other online game that offers single player as an option.
I’m not worried at all but I am annoyed and excited the thing I’m annoyed about is the story direction I don’t like at all that Little Nightmares are actually Nightmares it just doesn’t work for me I didn’t like that revelation at all in the the Sounds of Nightmares when I’m thinking about a Little Nightmares I like being in the confined space of the game itself the world of Little Nightmares obviously takes place on a planet, but I don’t want to think about the planet and continents and the land it self know what trying to say? And that these children are normal children transported from the normal universe in this one because they are oppressed same with the monsters I just don’t like it at all, now we know that the world and characters is a Nightmare universe I’m no longer thinking about this confined space I’m now thinking about the LN MULTIVERSE and I don’t like that at all and it will definitely affect how I see and play the game when it comes out The Ferry Man being a Eldridge being is off no way in shit he was that in 2017 him being a guy that takes kids to the Maw is much simpler and not over the top What I am exited for the most is the OST/ambiance I LOVE the Little Nightmares OST specifically LN2 the music and ambience in LN2 is gonna be hard as shit to top because that did such a damn good job I love music and I wanna make some, someday and what I’m specifically excited for is the boss chase themes I can’t wait to see if any of them beat the LN2 ones gonna be hard but you never know and lastly I don’t know why people are angry at the new art direction I know it’s sort of a staple that little nightmares is supposed to be dark and blue but I don’t see anything wrong with this change they’re trying to do something different and it’s gonna make this one stand out from the others
Personally, as a little nightmare fan, I’m kind of disappointed. 4 games, 2 comics, and a podcast series feels way too much. This is not like FNAF level of lore but it still is kinda getting there. It’s very upsetting knowing one of the greatest horror games of all time (in my opinion) is becoming a cash grab. The original game was supposed to have you left hanging and giving you unanswered questions all throughout the game like “who is the shoe monster?” Or “what are those grey mushroom things moving about?” The main thing I really am vexed with about the podcast is, the whole thing the games are built on. It’s the metaphor it’s built from. The newest lore drops of the series completely contradicts the feeling of loneliness and innocence in a world full of darkness and greed. Instead, they give alone and low weapons and tools to survive instead of the weakness tarsier of the first game wanted the character of six and mono to feel. I truly feel like little nightmares is going a direction It shouldn’t. Tarsier studios leaving wasn’t a good choice. They wanted to end it their but Bandai wouldn’t allow it. I’m sorry.
Ya I hear ya. I feel like Supermassive only gave Low and Alone weapons and added co-op because people were begging for those features since the first game. People assumed that LN2 was co-op and were disappointed that it wasn't. The combat for smaller enemies was also underdeveloped in the second game, like you can only fight 2 types of enemies. From what I've seen people wanted the combat to be improved upon. So Supermassive may just be doing what they've heard the fans want, which I can kind of get. Hopefully this doesn't ruin the game.
calling the franchise a cash grab would insinuate that the content coming out has no depth or second thoughts behind it, it’s just being pushed out. Idk about you, but from the trailer, gameplay, and the podcast we’ve gotten so far, this new game and everything around it is anything but the bare minimum. Continuing the story does not mean that every question will be answered. Additionally, the loneliness is still present, seeing that the world continues to be desolate and grim. The world of little nightmares is anything but innocent, though, the only thing remotely close is the interactions between the main characters, but even then there is still a more eerie and odd feeling to the interactions. Like jord was getting at, it just seems like being scared of change is getting the best of your hope for the future.
@@bringbackthedarkness yes, but being scared for something new is common. Tarsier wanted to end it there knowing they made a successful series and moved on. There’s a lot of comparisons to fnaf in a way. After the first 3 games of fnaf/Ln it kept going. I also don’t really like the podcast due to the “explanation” of everything. It explains how the children got there as well as why it’s called little nightmares. Again, you can compare it to fnaf for explaining a little bit too much. It ruins the original games enigmatic nature. I also realize calling it a “cash grab” might be a exaggeration. Tl;dr of this whole situation is that I’m scared for the future of this game and how it could potentially be ruined like others we’ve seen before it.
The main problem I have with the series has actually existed from the beginning. It’s just too bleak. Apart from Six it’s basically “what bad thing is going to happen to this character.” I don’t want this Game of Thrones feeling to persist in the game. I want my characters to win. I want them to survive in spite of a bleak world. The Runaway Kid and Mono both met tragic fate. One eaten, the other abandoned and transformed into a monster. Not only does this give them tragic fates, it also makes Six, our main protagonist a villain. I hate that so much. I want to cheer for Six not feel conflicted because she’s the protagonist but she is pretty much a monster herself.
I wouldn’t call this a problem, just a personal peeve you have. What the games try to tell may not be what you want to happen, truthfully not every story will have a good ending or a character that is unambiguously good. You obviously seem to like the game, but it seems like you are more interested by the aesthetic more than the story.
Maybe low and alone are the past kid versions of the doctor and sisi that’s in the sounds of nightmares series. In that series there’s the carnival mentioned and also sisi gets taken by the ferryman so maybe that’ll be the big twist to this upcoming game ?
Also sweets for my sweet is heard in the audio series and there’s a scene in the trailer with the twister lollipops 🍭. This is what the doctor used on his patients to put them to sleep.
I think Jord hit the nail on the head immediately, change breeds anxiety.
But looking deeper into the development process and the fact that the existing lore still stands means that regardless of the perceived changes from the initial trailer, this is STILL Little Nightmares, through and through
Couldn't agree more Gemini, i cant wait for little nightmares 3!!

Ha! Found you! 🥳 i agree with you, we should give it a chance and see what happens!
Hi Gemini! I agree with you and Jord, the new developers already have it down and that was only the pre alpha
I'm definitely not worried, I have a lot of faith from the developers, and the direction they are going in is different but interesting(in a good way) in my opinion. I do like the new visuals as well.
I doubt it will connect well with very little nightmares little nightmares 2 and little nightmares 1
They have said that there are some nods, such as the mirror. We'll just have to wait and see.@@alsimmonshellspawn6021
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021 it doesn't have to lol
I think it should. If they didn't want to connect them, they wouldn't have made it the third game, rather a dlc or spinoff. Similar to the outlast series, they aren't in the same settings and have completely different stories, but the second one still has many connections to the first one. @@Quoew51

I feel so blessed to have more little nightmares content ❤
mood
I'm not worried, after watching the trailer I just know that the new studio is doing an amazing job, great vid Jord. ❤
It literally has the same look as the last games....and we have only been shown one level...Lord.....
It’s going to be amazing! I hope ours jaws drop again of a big unforeseen twisted!
Yea I’m worried too
Im worried because of how long we had to wait for LN II, hopefully there isnt any delays.
We had to wait till 2021, cause of, you know, COVID 19? They couldn't finish it and realese it on 2020, cause of the virus that went down
Lots of games that were due to realese in 2020 were delay to 2021, cause again, of COVID 19
@@hamakochan375kj there is also the fact that they had to remake Little Nightmares II multiple times before they said it was perfect.
Don’t be too worried about it. Tobias Lilja teach the new guy how to do LN styled music.
I'm worried mostly for Jord's play hours
damn right xD
You have to be a channel member@user-dv9to6qh4l
I get why people are worried, and I agree with everything you said!
In fact, I have already fell in love with Low and Alone. I really need a demo or new trailer!
Waiting for the game is really tough. We need a demo or a short video for the others places, especially the carnival 😢
If I do buy little nightmares 3 , I hope there'll be Easter eggs from little nightmares 1 and 2
glad you made this video cause i was a little concerned but you making this video has put all my concerns away and i am currently waiting on a release date, also how long do you think its gonna be? i would like it to be a longer game but i put all my faith in the developers and i agree with you, if we fell in love with the runaway kid and mono, then we will definitely fall in love with low and alone and we will probably cry when alone is left "alone" lol

Idk what it is ab Danny Davitos face but if he’s there it’s the first thing I see 😭😭😂
As much as I miss Mono and Six and I'm sure everyone else does too, Alone and Low remind me a lot of them and I wonder where these children keep coming from 😂. Jokes aside my excitement for this game will never be stop and I hope it will be as scary and amazing as all the other Little nightmares games were before it. I should go and watch the sounds of littlle nightmares now because I keep forgetting to😅 Thanks you for making this video Jord! I enjoyed it
I’m really worried
Let me help you with that :D
If and when you play LN3, you should Co-op with Gemini. You two are some of my favorite youtubers, and would love to see you two play together!
when the last devs made LN2 and said thats their last i was so sad but when i got a notification from YT about LN3 i was shocked and the game looks so amazing and they are a good dev company but i am more than excited for this new game!!!!!
The yellow suits the hole theme I think
Since we start off in an desert! Which sandstorms can blur version in a “yellowish way”
Maybe the lighting will change as we explore different area!
Also blue is an gloomy colour and I can understand people stress but…
Yellow represents hope. There’s hope for the new characters as it seems like they have an good relationship! (They where holding hands in the realise trailer poster)
Unlike mono and six- (R.I.P what happened there)
Off topic but I hope that one of them DOESNT ends up dying or the other one stays by the one that is dead for ETERNITY BECAUSE I HAVE AN BAD FEELING THAT THIS RELATIONSHIP IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
first of all, the color of a horror game can completely change the atmosphere and setting of it.. thats why people care..
and secondly, the school and the kitchen from the 1st and 2nd games are only "warm" because the lights are on, whereas in this game it's bright because theyre literally outside and the suns about to set.
im not that worried at all because in the trailer its mostly dark, and they clearly show them running around at night time in the rain. but those are definitely genuine concerns. the only thing im slightly concerned about is the giant baby, but im pretty sure the baby is not the main villain.
3:48 ur right, but all the other chapters have the darker tone we know. They also said so
When the original creators are no longer a part of their project, I am always nervous. Feel like the vision gets lost and its just replaced by things that somewhat look like the first 2 games
So many games in the last couple years have been continuously pushed back to the point that I doubt some of my favs are even coming out anymore:(
bro off topic, your so nice its giving santa clause vibes and all i want to do is give you a hug! Reminds me of my grandpa :D
The game is called little nightmares.
bro got mad that the game called little nightmares is in fact a nightmare dimension
this isn't a retcom lmfao, if you look at interviews from LN1 they always stated this, even with the whole description from six in LN1: "Six wakes up in a world she can't recognize"
It was always there
🤷♂
I'm just thrilled we're even getting little nightmares 3. I literally cannot wait to play ❤
I'm giving it an chance however
this is an new slate. Of course I ma compare it with the others. . .
I don't need it to look the same of course that's an given,
It's thee story and how obsessed I can become with theories, how chilling the atmosphere makes me feels.
I think it looks amazing
It may not be colorful dark, like the otber games, but its still very grim. This grimness still holds the heart of the Little Nightmares universe
I'm not worried, i mean its made by supermassive and they are like the kings when it comes to horror games. So i genuinely cannot wait for it
i love you so much thank you for all of your content
Of course!!
@@Itsjustjord WHAT?! awwh youre so cool, thank youu!
I was worried at first, but i think ive warmed up to it now (haha warm because of warm colors, pun unintended)
Although I'm still a bit cautious, I do feel a lot more hopeful and excited for the new entry. Although I still want to see more of mono and six.
I keep wondering, how can the ferryman be in the sounds of nightmares, when he is a character from the non canon comics?
just because the comics are not cannon doesn't mean the ferryman doesn't exist
@goulgaming08 Alr, but they took a non canon character, used the exact same description, and used him in a canon podcast.
They retconned the character, he serves a different purpose now
Love this Jord 😊
For some reason even if its not a blue environement, it still has the same vibes.
I think they wanted to make it different by making each chapter a fully different land, a blue one like LN1 and 2, a desert like level like the necropolis, a glacial level? A greenish level?
Oh and six does come back in this game, not as a friendly character tho, maybe
10:10 Maybe they could fix the comic issue with that?
Even if coop extinguish the fear. Many horror games with coop are fun to play togheter,
The only thing is, a monster like the janitor would take more than 20 tiny man arrows to defeat, soo you can just fight back to tiny ennemies, and tiny ennemies are not that comon in little nightmares
i feel like the new team wants us to understand that the worlds behind these awesome games are just that diverse.
5:13 no it's only 1 chapter. As the game takes place in the spiral, which is a cluster of many different places. Like the carnival.
Hm, I see, fair enough, it’s going to be interesting how things turns out.
We love you

Very important message 4 u jord in ln2 when six drops mono of the bridge mono nods at her someone found this In a first person view of six
I still want a DLC to LN2..!
I am glad you made this video because I forgot about this game👍
I'm worried because those new developers might not be as genius and as passionate as the old developers sometimes new developers just want to ride on others success it also might not connect well or make sense with very little nightmares little nightmares 2 and little nightmares 1, so yeah I have my doubts
Animation for this game has been a huge concern for me, when they shot down the crate in the gameplay trailer I actually laughed a little because it was so bad
The game is still in pre-alpha and you are already concerned for the animation?

I just hope that the game still the same as the first two games.

Also as much as i Love these Games
I think they should have stopped at ln2 since that was the end of the Story tarsier wanted to Tell.
Why so? Just curious cause I think everything looks fantastic
I’m only worried about the online multiplayer part as you need to pay for online. I hope that they will let you not pay if you only play single player
Of course you can play the game without paying online, if you dont have a online subscription lol. Like any other online game that offers single player as an option.

Why can’t i see any 3 on my favorite games, i’m still waiting for half life 3 :(
I’m not worried at all but I am annoyed and excited the thing I’m annoyed about is the story direction I don’t like at all that Little Nightmares are actually Nightmares it just doesn’t work for me I didn’t like that revelation at all in the the Sounds of Nightmares when I’m thinking about a Little Nightmares I like being in the confined space of the game itself the world of Little Nightmares obviously takes place on a planet, but I don’t want to think about the planet and continents and the land it self know what trying to say? And that these children are normal children transported from the normal universe in this one because they are oppressed same with the monsters I just don’t like it at all, now we know that the world and characters is a Nightmare universe I’m no longer thinking about this confined space I’m now thinking about the LN MULTIVERSE and I don’t like that at all and it will definitely affect how I see and play the game when it comes out
The Ferry Man being a Eldridge being is off no way in shit he was that in 2017 him being a guy that takes kids to the Maw is much simpler and not over the top
What I am exited for the most is the OST/ambiance I LOVE the Little Nightmares OST specifically LN2 the music and ambience in LN2 is gonna be hard as shit to top because that did such a damn good job I love music and I wanna make some, someday and what I’m specifically excited for is the boss chase themes I can’t wait to see if any of them beat the LN2 ones gonna be hard but you never know and lastly I don’t know why people are angry at the new art direction I know it’s sort of a staple that little nightmares is supposed to be dark and blue but I don’t see anything wrong with this change they’re trying to do something different and it’s gonna make this one stand out from the others
My answer would be a yes because it's not the same team 😐
did you even watch the video?
Im sure Suppermassive is gonna do this game justice but they aint no Tarsier
@@ayeitzdj exactly what I'm saying
@@ayeitzdjso still be proud that we got little nightmares 3
Jord, do you think the game will be longer than the first 2 games? I really hope it will be longer. Minimal play time of 6 or 7 hours.
Will low and alone have power's???🤔
Little nightmares 3 will be soo good
Absolutely not.
Jord there is no sound for the video.
TH-cam is still processing it :D
Is the video muted for anyone else?
Yes
You're just early :) Thank you for that
Yay
I don’t think so supermassive makes good games little nightmares seems to be right up their alley
Hopefully this doesn't ruin the game.
whomp whomp
calling the franchise a cash grab would insinuate that the content coming out has no depth or second thoughts behind it, it’s just being pushed out.
@@bringbackthedarkness I love you for this
@@bringbackthedarkness yes, but being scared for something new is common.
No worries, Little Nightmares is a pretty dificult franchise to ruin with that gameplay
yay #2
Nah, it looks like a trash game. No six. The lore feels watered down. The co-op is just a gimmick.
Who the hell needs that little demon
bro looked at a one minute trailer and decided this
@@GoulGames😂
