Awesome deck! One of my favorite underrated counter spells is turn aside, i dont see it a lot in decklists and it functions as sort of a budget swan song, especially in decks with key combo pieces such as goro-goro and satoru or a lot of other grixis commanders
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Turn Aside is definitely one of those spells that a lot of people don't expect nor see coming. It's also great in spellslinger decks that might prefer spell-based protection rather than permanent-based protection.
I think there's not enough unblockable creatures to ninjutsu consistently in your deck. I would remove some of the artifacts/enchantment to add some small unblockable creatures.
Possibly. The deck does have plenty of flyers as well as way to make creatures unblockable. If a meta would require even more evasion that that, you could definitely add more outright unblockable creatures.
Agree. For ninjas to consistently work you'd want something like 14-19 evasive 1 and 2 drops so turn 3 Goro-Goro hits the field and turn 4 you start to build a token army through Ninjutsu. Combine with ~20 pieces of interaction and it will be very hard for your opponents to stop you from growing. There's honestly no need to include that many big creatures if at all considering a 1 mana unblockable + Goro-Goro activation results in a 5/5 flyer. Cunning Evasion and Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar are 2 cheap versions to bounce back Ninjas that don't require tapping or more mana to activate. Beside a whole bunch of counterspells, Siren Stormtamer and Esior, Wardwing Familiar are both evasive, come into play before Goro-Goro and offer protection in form of creatures which work better for this kind of deck than the equipments. There are also ways to include creature based ramp and card draw e.g. Sygg, River Cutthroat, Professional Face-Breaker, Grazilaxx, Florian, Voldaren Scion, Grim Hireling.
Nope! You take commander damage whenever a commander deals combat damage to you. And double strike means the creature first deals first strike damage and then it also deals regular damage afterwards. So it's literally striking you twice. Double strike is one of the best keywords you can put on a commander.
@@TheCommanderTavern the worst case scenario would to cast him fairly and give him haste with our commander's ability. Best case is to use Satoru Umezawa to suprise an opponent!

Hello! You're saying that double strike triggers the commander twice? :O. I thought it could only happen once per turn

Would it be worth it to play Master of Cruelties in this deck?
Interesting... What's your reasoning for it?

@@crovax1375 Ooh! That's some ninja-level tech right there!
@@TheCommanderTavern Master of Cruelties has some additional upside with ninjutsu as well. I left some messages on Discord about it!
@@crovax1375 Aw yeah! The party continues at the Commander Tavern!
